“Why are you afraid? I am there, I am there to take care of you, and you will live with your grandchildren also, don’t be afraid of that”.

I am Kalyan Das, a chartered accountant, practicing at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. As a professional I was asked to prepare the accounts, for Income tax exemptions purposes, for the Hyderabad Gnana Bodha Sabha by its trustee members, I knew of Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji since 1986, but I never took the chance to meet with Him. During that time I did not believe in any Swamiji or their miracles.

As the dictates of karma, my wife, Vasantha was suffering with high blood pressure and for sometime, and in 1989 she was diagnosed for dialysis, as both the kidneys were not functioning properly. Finally, doctors decided that they must do a kidney transplant and all the arrangements were made. Her sister decided that she will donate a kidney, if compatible, and the operation was set for August 1989.

Two months before the operation the compatibility procedure was checked and my Vasantha was found to be half matched with the donor’s blood, so the transplant was scheduled. However, just prior to the transplantation scheduled date the procedure was again checked, and to our surprise the blood which was half matched earlier has now became sensitive. At the outcome of this result, the doctors said that they cannot perform this transplant as there will be rejection. Due to this phenomenon the operation was postponed.

The doctors advised me that I should get some more relatives screened for the blood match. Many family members and eighteen non-related persons were tested and no match was found. The doctors advised me that there is panel reactivity in the body of the patient and so she cannot be operated further; she has to live on dialysis for the rest of her life. My bothers and few others consulted two astrologers independently, who said the life of my wife will end by May 1990.

After screening a lot of donors and undergoing all the frustrations, I felt like the doctors and science have failed. At this point I thought of Sri Swamiji; if at all anything could be done it can be only done by spiritual power. In October of 1989 Sri Swamiji visited Hyderabad and we both went to have His darsan and to talk with Him, for even at that time she was undergoing dialysis. During that visit no one introduced to us Sri Swamiji, but He Himself identified us as the auditor and his wife Vasantha. We pleaded with Him about the difficulty we were facing and how many people were screened, but we could not find a correct match for the transplantation.

Sri Swamiji listened to us and he told us to come to Mysore and take part in pujas, homas and various other activities. Later during the Navarathri celebrations and Dassera festival we both went and to the Mysore Ashrama and there we participated in the pujas and the general functions. During that time, also, we involved in construction of the temples and I developed an interest in these activities. Then, during the Kumbha Abhishekam of a temple consecration, Sri Swamiji told my wife “Why are you afraid? I am there, I am there to take care of you, and you will live with your grandchildren also, don’t be afraid of that”. Then I explained to Sri Swamiji that every time the blood match is becoming sensitive to the donor then what should be done. He said “You send the blood once again to Madras Apollo”. At that time transplantations were done either at Hyderabad or Madras Apollo. So we sent the blood to Madras Apollo once again.

During that time my wife had a dream in which Sri Swamiji said “I have sent a donor for you”.  Meanwhile, in Madras we found a lady whose blood and tissue were matched with my wife. Before this we have never seen tissue match, this was the first time. When the tissues were matched even the doctors were surprised and they felt that it was some miracle. From that day on my wife was having Sri Swamiji’s darshan whenever possible and she stated living a normal life, although she was undergoing dialysis. However even before the transplantation, improvements could be seen, just by her having His darshan. The operation was carried out on December 22, 1989 with success.

A few years after the transplantation, my two children got married. In 1993 when He came to Hyderabad He reminded her that “I told you that you would play with your grandchildren and you forgot”. Later a grandchild was born, and things went on like that.

After few years my wife developed pneumonia and was admitted to the Apollo. At that time Tirupala Reddy of Anantapur, Sri Swamiji’s devotee, was accompanying Sri Swamiji during His visit to Malaysia. From there he telephoned me just for general enquiry, I then informed him that my wife is in serious condition and that he should inform Sri Swamiji. Sri Swamiji was performing Sri Chakra pooja. After hearing this Sri Swamiji went into His room, sat for sometime and when He came out told Tirupala Reddy ” Tell him not to bother or worry; everything will be alright and she will be recovered”.

For twenty long years Sri Swamiji has been granting her new leases for life. This can only happen with grace of great saints like Sri Swamiji. With His grace she has survived. She became so healthy that we were able to travel to foreign countries. All the children got married and everything went well. This is the greatest miracle for any doctor to understand as it’s very impossible for a patient with panel reactivity to get a match for the transplantation. They diagnosed that she would have to lead rest of her life with dialysis. After screening with over thirty people, some miracle has happened and finally the doctors admitted that there is some power which has helped her to survive. In 1989 medical science was not advanced as it is now. Though transplantations were done during that time, it was only possible with Sri Swamiji’s grace. For every devotee Sri Swamiji’s grace is there; everyday we pray to Him and He is keeping us so happy.

Another experience with Sri Swamiji in our life is with my son. While my wife was not doing well my son had his SSC examinations but he was not concentrating; he was not reading. He left the house and never appeared for examination at that time. Finally, we found him and got him back home. One day Sri Swamiji came into his dream and took a slate and pencil and made him write on the slate itself. After this dream my son has changed a lot he picked up his life such a way that he attained first class in his B.Com. Now he is a chartered accountant, a law graduate and a computer expert. A boy who was not able to read, not able to attempt an examination, with the grace of Sri Swamiji he came out with such a good results. We cannot describe all the miracles of Sri Swamiji for there are lots and lots. There is a boon shown on every one of His devotees; what is required is to serve Him and to totally surrender to His Feet. Once you do that you will get the grace automatically.

Once my wife said, that one day a saint came and addressed her saying that ” you are alive only because of you guru”. Another day while we were performing Anagha Vratam, I was told by a co-devotee when ever Anagha Vratam is taking place Sri Swamiji will visit the place in any form on that day. Later when all the devotees and invitees had left after the venue, we were sitting in the garage discussing about His leelas. In our place usual we don’t see cows, but on that day a cow, in kashambara colour, came from the small gate of our house and it stood at the stairs. I felt it might be likely Sri Swamiji, I thought in my mind that if the cow is in the manifestation of Sri Swamiji it must enter my house, the moment I was thinking it entered the house and came inside. This show’s that wherever you are Sri Swamiji is always with you; and we carry this belief all the time. All the time you are protected, the only thing that is required is that you should be a devotee of Sri Swamiji. Every time I visited Him, He would enquire about my Vasantha, “How is Amma”. He says it in such a way, with so much compassion, that it would melt the hardest of hearts.

Once, my son and I were at the Mysore Ashrama and Vasantha stayed at home. While doing some work, she suddenly had a critical fall in the kitchen. At the ashrama Sri Swamiji was giving a musical concert, and suddenly during the program He got up. I was told my son that Sri Swamiji would not get up so suddenly; maybe something has happened to a devotee. Within five minutes I got a phone call that my wife had a critical fall but by the grace of Sri Swamiji nothing has happened to her. I realized why Sri Swamiji got up so suddenly, the moment anything happens to a devotee He immediately takes care of them; I assumed that this was why he suddenly got up from the music concert. By His grace anything could happen, beyond our imagination; these are all my experiences.

Sri Swamiji is important to me, because in daily life we are becoming selfish, we are not close to God, we practice so many odd things. Ever since we came to Sri Swamiji we are very careful that we do not do bad things mindfully. But unmindfully we do wrong things, and then Sri Swamiji corrects us and shows the correct path. He will protect us from the bad things; He shows the right path to us and to our entire family. Everyday we remember Him thousand of times and we cannot even survive without remembering Him; thus everything goes smoothly.

Spiritually we gained a lot from Sri Swamiji; we try to live a good life safe guarded by Him. He eradicates the bad always, protects us and keeps us on track. That is the reason we are with Sri Swamiji, Everyday I come across many experiences and I go on noticing His miracles. There is one miracle where we lost a ring somewhere and we prayed to Sri Swamiji for its recovery. Within a short space of time somebody brought the ring to us. Although it is materialist it shows that Sri Swamiji is always with us. Everyday we experience such miracles. Jaya Guru Datta

The Mother of the Universe has limitless compassion towards her children. She is always ready to guide, to bless, and to protect. She takes so many incarnations to protect the beings in the entire creation.

 A person once asked Sri Swamiji “Are you enlightened? Has your cycle finished?” Sri Swamiji replied, “When your cycle is finished, then my cycle is completed! I am always following behind you.”
