  1. {Compassion: Understanding or empathy for the suffering of others, which creates an active desire to alleviate their suffering. Doing unto others as you would have them do to you} {Dharma: Righteousness. Doing what is good for humanity}
    If one can’t understand how his behaviour hurts others, he can’t feel that pain within himself. Just like we risk biting our tongue when the dentist has numbed it, we risk hurting others when we can’t feel their pain. This is how lack of compassion leads us to hurt others.. adharma.
    Rama’s Gurus nurtured compassion in him. That compassion in turn ensured that he always did what was right for the larger good.
    Pranams Sathguru!
    You’re the Rama of our times. Your compassion empowers you to live such virtuous life. Seeing you, we feel inspired to practice compassion, so that we don’t risk straying away from dharma. We’ll continuously chant Rama Taraka Mantra & feel empowered to do good always.
    Jaya Guru Datta. Your Puttuji

    Jaya Guru Datta! You have given us lessons over the last year, Swamiji, that if put into practice by each who have read them would change the world! What compassion you have for this planet and what faith you have in us, even though we stumble. This is such a beautiful lesson, as have been all of the MMS. Dharma is protected by each instruction you have given us here. I see only little changes in myself–silence where I might have spoken something unkind, a smile where I might have not offered that kindness before. I still have a long way to go. But I know that with each effort to implement what you have taught us all here, compassion grows fuller in my heart. We can only begin with baby steps to follow you…help us all to take a new step each day and bring to our lives and communities the blessings these teachings offer. Sri Guru Datta!

    Jaya Guru Datta Appaji. Wonderful and rightly so, the message on the Rama Navami day. The video quickly shows the entire ramayana and shows the importance of compassion driving and nourishing dharma. This is probably the only video of the Nandana series where we only heard Appaji but have not seen Him. The marayaada purushottam Ram’s entire life is the epitome of how compassion nourishes Dharma and is a great eternal teaching for the entire universe. Thanks a lot Appaji for driving us in the direction with Your divine compassion.

    jgd Swami ji, Humanity is dharma or righteousness and without kindness or compassion it can not survive, because we are social animals knowingly or unknowingly keep committing mistakes, and if we don’t learn to bear with each other lovingly we can not nourish dharma, its the perfect message for Sri Rama Navami the birthday of the incarnation of Dharma. What a nice MMS, Appaji has given today especially on Sri Rama Navami Day. Lord Rama always stand for Dharma. His mercy towards devotees are beyond the limitation. Lord Rama will never let down His devotee, where ever Dharma is followed. Here Lord Rama was following His Guru strictly and obey His command with out a second thought. At the sametime theGuru was nourishing Rama by His compassion also. Naturally He was following Dharma strictly. Similarly Lord Hanuman follow His Guru, Rama and naturally hanuman also stand forDharma only. That is why where ever Rama mantra is chanting , Hanuman will be present and give blessings. Accordingly our Appaji is also now a day installing Lord Hanuman in almost all Ashram. Therefore when we follow Dharma Lord Hanuman will nourish us by His ompassion. Hence we get the blessing also from Him which everybody knows in this Kaliyuga . Not only devotees but also so many people are getting the blessings in many ways according to their wishes also which we can see in our Ashram. Now in this Kaliyuga , we see our Appaji in the form of Lord Rama. Accordingly it is our basic duty to follow His words and teachings. By doing so we will follow Dharma only and our Appaji will nourish the same by His compassion. This is what we needed and that is only eternal . The photography and the Bhajan are very apt for this MSG. Thank You Appaji to give such a nice lesson and also to remind the importance of follow Dharma in our life which we will carry out till our life. JGD.

    What is Dharma? No available dictionary can not exactly defines it. Dharma envisages the practical application of certain rules which regulates man’s conduct. Dharma stands for the welfare of society as all religions ask men to speak truth, respect elders, avoid theft, not harm others.If a person up holds virtue, in its turn will protect him. Swamiji, You are our Guru. You have shown us how to lead a dharmic life. We follow You appaji. Jayagurudatta

    A beautiful message on the auspicious day of Sri Ram Navami. Thank You for laying out in simple words that compassion nourishes Dharma. Puttuji’s commentary that empathy brings about compassion makes it even more clear that one needs to be aware of one’s actions at all times – not only to make sure we are following Dharma, but also to make sure we are not hurting others. Swamiji says to help ever and hurt never. As Lord Rama Himself, Swamiji demonstrates that it is possible to live a completely Dharmic life, filled with love, compassion and giving in this modern day Kaliyuga. While adapting to modern methods and modern technology, Swamiji remains a source of infinite compassion and reigns as the Lord of Dharma. I pray at the Holy Lotus Feet to bless me to always be compassionate. Beautiful images of Lord Rama in this video that show His Dharmic nature. There perhaps couldn’t be a more apt song – the Rama Taraka mantra helps one cross the ocean of samsara. Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet!

    చివరి వరకు కూడా శ్రీరాముడు రావణునిపై దయ చూపించాడు. చేసిన తప్పుకు పశ్చాతాపం చెంది, సీతమ్మను తిరిగి ఇచ్చేస్తే క్షమిస్తానని వాగ్దానం చేశాడు. రావణ వధతో తన శత్రుత్వాన్ని ప్రకటించలేదు. మోక్షాన్ని ప్రసాదించాడు. వాలి కొన ఊపిరితో ఉండగా, దుర్మార్గుడని విస్మరించక, అతనికి అర్థమయ్యేలా ధర్మసూక్ష్మాలను వివరించాడు. దయకు శ్రీరాముడు, మన స్వామీజీ ప్రతీకలు. జయ గురు దత్త

    Rama was a personification of compassion. He made Bharata promise that he would not ill-treat his mother for her behavior which was the root cause of Rama’s exile. Rama took the time to explain clearly to Vali the reason he was being killed in that specific manner. He consoled Tara, Vali’s wife, and promised that Angada, Vali’s son would ascend the throne after Sugriva. Rama killed Ravana not out of enmity or vengeance, but to grant him salvation. Even in the end he offered to forgive him if Sita was returned, with remorse for his evil act. When his own brother Vibheeshana refused to perform the funeral rites for Ravana, the valiant warrior, Rama stepped forward to do them himself, putting Vibheeshana to shame, who then agreed to follow his dharma as a brother. What a wondrous character Rama is, and how lucky we are that He is amidst now as Swamji! Jaya Guru Datta

    JGD Appaji
    Appaji is Love and Compassion. Seeing Him in any situation, we can only see Love.
    No matter how many pujas or rituals we do, if we do not have compassion in our hearts towards other living creatures, its all a drama. If our hearts can feel the pain of others, we can never truly hurt anyone. With Appaji’s blessings and all His precious teachings, we can develop such compassion .. . and automatically we will be following dharma. As Datta Devotees, we should never hurt another living being.
