  1. Pranams Gurudeva!

You’re Pranava.. the one life principle that pervades the whole universe

You’re Bedhabhava Nivarthaka.. helping us see everyone as equals.. as expressions of that one life principle.. without any sense of difference or discrimination

Everyone in your seva is a yagna kartha, with unique goals, talents & purposes in life

Those trees may be tall & short.. but the Sun shines on them equally.

Sculptors have the unique ability to carve out the Anjaneya murti from that huge rock. Pandits have the unique ability to recite the Vedas & perform homas. Performers in the Nagara Sankeerthana have a unique talent to sing & dance, in worship. All of them do what they do, to make others happier. In doing so, they find their happiness. Yes, it is not fair to compare.. Seva is Seva. Period.

We’re learning more, Prabhu! Each of us have unique talents. We’ll use them in your seva, without worrying about the comments of others. Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji

In Chapter Three of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna tells Arjuna “Better is one’s own Dharma (duty based on the law of one’s own nature), though lacking in merits than that of another, even though well observed. Better is death in one’s own Dharma, but another’s is fraught with fear.” They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but here we are told it is better to die than to try be someone other than ourselves. Too often, people can’t see their own worth and set off to compete with another who has skills different then their own rather then focusing on developing their own talents. Thank you for this reminder today, Swamiji, to focus on our own strengths and to develop them. There is room for everyone. If we are still breathing, there is work for us each to do, even if it isn’t what we want it to be. The greatest surgeon’s skills are meaningless in a dirty operating room….

Jai Guru Datta! If we don’t compare and judge, we are in peace and the others are in peace. And we are in peace with the Almighty also, we can simply accept and adore His divine play. HE KNOWS.

The words from this video I must always say to me, when I think, that all what I do is not enaugh or not good. But also when I work with my patients it is important to see, what are the goals of a person, what the talents. Because I must help them to find theire way, what ever it is.

Once again, such a precious message, dear Swamiji! I still don’t know what my goal and purpuse is to serve society, even after living already many years on this world! I had such a strong wish to serve society in a specific way, but it was not possible. I was very unhappy, comparing with others and seeing them doing what I would have liked to do. Of course, it was wrong! For any GOOD reason that I don’t know, it was prohibited for me to finalise it. Three days ago, we were taught that Guru may ban things in our lives, Guru knows. YOU made me realise that I have to abandon this wish and let YOU guide me on the way to the right goal. It is a hard way, without any clear purpose yet… Patience, patience, patience… May I have all the necessary strenght, and confidence! JGD

Dattatreya Hanuman a ki…Jai…good morning Lord Datta…this is another lovely, lovely video message…and so nice to see people working together for a common goal…also enjoyed Your soothing music in the background…have been watching a series on netflix…”The History of India”…so fascinating, Your video this morning reminds me of the episode we watched last evening…it was on the bronze workers, and the process of lost wax, and the making of dieties for temples…although we live in 2012…the process of casting metal has not changed for over 2000 years in India…the process has remained the same which i thought was awesome…each of the workers had a specific job in the process…and the process was like clockwork…but the outcome, was a lovely Lord Shiva dancing with His drum…the talents of each of these workers combined, produced a diety for a temple which so many would benefit from for thousands of years…let us remember each day this very important message from Appaji…it is not what we do…it is how we do it together for the benefit of all…Sri Guru Datta!

Everybody came to this world for his personel expiriences, so who we are to judge. ” Mind your own buiseness ” is an other saying. Om namo hanumate namaha.

A nice MMS, Appaji has given today and Puttuji your explanation is also so good. As you said, Appaji is ( Pranava and Bedhabhava nivarthka) .Yes it is absolutely correct since Appaji has got only one principle  and that is Datta Cult. As per that those who follow Him are all in one family and that is Datta family. Here every one are equal and Appaji teach us to help others who are really in needy. In this Kaliyuga our Swamiji’s main aim is to develop the spiritual path for which He has got various methods, naimly Pooja, Homa, Bhajan, Healing music, yoga, Kriya course etc. Accordingly those who want to learn about Pooja and Homa , they have to study Veda for which Appaji has built up a Vedapatasala. Similarly for all other activities, Appaji has provided the respective person to train the people. But each one has got a unique goal, talent, purpose which they make use to the best possible way to give to the society. At the sametime here Appaji is reminding us that we should not compare or judge  their ability and quality. Further today’s MMS itself is very useful  forour family life since we should not even compare or judge our children among one other since each one has got his/her own taste, aim, talent and purpose in their carrier and as parents, we have to guide them and put as per their choice. Ofcourse through the guidelines of our Appaji. The photography is very apt to the MSG and the music as usual giving a soothing effect.   JGD.

Jaya Guru Datta! Dear Appaji, how wonderful to see Anjaneya murti being carved. And how esteemed are the pundits for reciting the vedas and other scriptures. I still have the tendency to compare and to give a hierarchy to different jobs. I know it’s my ego who wants to feel better than others. Oh Lord, that ego is very powerful! But I do see changes in my thinking due to the grace of Sadgurudeva. Please cleanse me further on. Sri Guru Datta!

Jaya Guru Datta! Just as little drops of water make the mighty ocean, each one of us, doing what we do, using the talent gifted by God, contribute to this world. Consciously or subconsciously, we may judge people in professions that we consider lowly. And perhaps, we even compare ourselves with people in higher professions than ours in an attempt to justify their talent. This message is telling me that no profession is bigger or smaller than other – everyone is playing the role that God determined for him/her. By comparing and judging people in other professions, we are saying that some drops in the ocean are more important than the other, when in reality, the ocean sees no difference between the drops. The creator, our Sathguru, sees no difference. May we always do our duty while fully respecting everyone else’s role and profession. Obeisances to the Holy Lotus Feet!

The world is like Appaji’s thousands of bhajans. Each is different, unique, serves a special purpose and is most powerful. Swamiji said tonight during the Bhajan session in New York, “The bhajans are like the stars in the sky. How to select just one amongst them?” They are all wonderful and equally sparkling as every single atom in Creation. The melody of all the bhajans emerges out of Omkara and merges back in Omkara. It is the same with everything in Creation. No musical note is superior or inferior to another. But still one note does not make a melody, except in Appaji’s hands. Jaya Guru Datta

    • Glory of Rama on December 3, 2012 at 1:44 am

A parrot is a favored pet in one home. A dog is a family member in another. A cat is most precious to yet another. A gold fish makes all the difference in the world to yet another. How can one judge that one species is greater than another? Each is unique and has its special appeal to each individual family. When we cannot distinguish between different creatures for order of importance, how can we possibly make distinctions between one man and another and claim that one life is more valuable than another? Life is life. Each life form has its birthright and claim to benefit from the world that the father of the Universe has provided as its home. No one has the right to deny another total privileges because all are children of the one God who rules the world. Jaya Guru Datta

What an unique message! Of course, each one is special in their own way. God gifts a special capability and quality to survive and prove themselves. We should mark our own achievements either worldly or spiritually and try to improve ourselves like previous message to ponder on oneself for betterment by Sri Swamiji, one should be utilising their time and energy for improving ourselves. There is no point in comparing with any one because no two people are alike. May lord bless us all to be unique and serve the society as per His wish, extending a helping hand to the needy.
