  1. In Kalahasthi near Tirupathi, a hunter named Thinnan offered Shiva (Linga) the meat of animals he hunted. Shiva accepted it, as Thinnan was clean & true in his devotion
One day, Thinnan saw blood flowing from one eye of Shiva. He plucked his own eye & placed it on the bleeding eye. The bleeding stopped. Then, the other eye of Shiva began bleeding. Thinnan decided to offer his second eye. But he knew after plucking his second eye, he can’t see where to place it. So, he placed his toe finger on Shiva’s bleeding eye, and offered his second eye too. Shiva was moved by his devotion. He appeared before Thinnan, restored both his eyes, and named him Kannappa (Kann:Eye) Nayanar (Saint)
    Pranams Sathguru!
We realize God is attracted by cleanliness of heart with which we make an offering, than our offering itself. Just as how clean (subhrata) clothing looks good & attractive (virajate), even if it’s deteriorated or torn (kuvastra).

Jaya Guru Datta! There are so many layers to this message this morning. Thinnan was condemned for his offerings because they weren’t acceptable in his society. But despite of the fact that the people saw him as unworthy, Shiva didn’t. Thank you for this reminder to trust the judgement of God/Guru and not of society, Sri Guru Datta!

    JAYA GURU DATTA,
GREAT MESSAGE, UNDERSTAND THE MEANING,I WILL THE MESSAGE.
SATHA KOTI PRANAMAS TO LOTUS FEET OF SATH GURU DEVA.
    SRI GURU DATTA.

  2. Jaya Guru Datta Appaji ! “Om Namah Shivaya and Om Ugraya Namah” are today’s most powerful Mantras Appaji, along with a beautiful Bhajan ” Oh Kalahasti Eswaruda !!” which our daughters used to sing in all the Satsangs that we used to have every Sunday in Hyderabad.
The message reveals the importance that Pujya Appaji gives o cleanliness and the least importance to the financial status of a devotee !! We are so fortunate Appaji to be at Your lotus feet !!

  3. jgd.As day”s of teaching are advancing the Guru Bhodhana is getting bit tough. It is not easy to understand teachings like this. Some where at some place Guru must have spoken at lenghth, the ready reference is from “Bhagavath Geetha,Jeernani Vastrani”, yet here it referes only the end of the use of cloth.Appaji had gone a step ahead and says though torn if the clothing is clean it is attractive.
Let us not go to this ages fashion of torn jeans and shirts.Appaji is taking about the attractive body that is giving beauty to the cloth that is torn. The individuals prayer to Guru is so pure it gives shining to the clothes and every thing that is around the Devotee. The individuals greatness out shines His ornaments. It also tells donot go for the external appearence,

In spite of past breaches of conduct, and continuing mental imbalances, Sadgurudeva is showering His love upon me and thousands of other devotees who are far from perfect. I guess He is not concerned with the tears in the fabric of our lives, but only the cleanliness in our attempts to improve. That is very heartening and speaks volumes about the limitlessness of His compassion. Jaya Guru Datta

According to me, today’s MMS 337 is more or less linked to MMS 32 and 284. As per that I hope Appaji is once again reminding us to keep our heart clean. Therefore the photography and the story of Thinnan and the Bhajan are very apt for this MSG. As per MMS 32 , Appaji says God will reside in the heart of a true devotee. In this Kaliyuga , we see our Sadguru as our God and here I recollect His words saying that, you should try to register your name in His heart. But it is not so easy unless we are a true devotee. A true devotee means according to me, we should follow His words and teachings in the spiritual path and develop our spiritual knowledge and at one stage we should reach to the state of selfrealization . Similarly as per MMS 284 , God always look for a clean heart to rest and radiate His. Joy. Here it is also not so easy unless we should free from greed, doubt, anger and arrogance. From all these points it is very clear that , we can always keep our heart clean , provided we should follow all these instructions and in such person the God will reside in His heart. Therefore now Appaji we gotYour concept and like a clean cloth which may even torn or not, we will also take effort to register our name in Your heart by follow Your words and teachings in the spiritual path and keep our heart clean. JGD.

    Jaya Guru Datta
    Om Namah Sivaya
Sri Swamiji looks splendid in every moment. Every time we look at Him He appears different and most wonderful before us. The ´beautiful colors of His clothing are shining like the sun.
MMS 212 said that we should keep all thoughts sparkling clean. Somehow cleanliness of mind can only be achieved when we wash our clothing quite often since old energies stick to the clothing. Water accomplishes not only to remove the dirt but also to clean energetically. It must be the Divine quality of water. Water is a most amazing element. It forms long reaching structures over many molecules. The orientation of these structures can be so complex that it needs very strong computer power to only simulate the orientation of some 1000 of water molecules.
    Sri Guru Datta
    Om Ugraya Namah
    Om Namo Hanumate Namah

    Jaya Guru Datta Puttuji _/\_!!
What a beautiful story Puttuji on Guru Day !!
So strong was Thinnan’s devotion that when he was about to offer his second eye, Lord Shiva appeared before him and said ‘Nillu Kannapa’ (Stop Kannapa).!!!!
    Sathgurudeva: Datta Swarupa, April 1986.
God is not concerned either with the quality or quantity of the
materials offered to Him. What he is concerned and sees most is the
attitude or the feeling with which the offerings are made. Whatever is
offered to God should be done with pure devotion and a pure mind.
We will strive and maintain a clean heart with your Grace, Appaji !!

    OM NAMAH SIVAYA
My beloved SADGURU, can we compare this clothing with our body? It also has scars, wrinkles and deformations. We do not have to make beauty-operations, just to keep it clean is important. That our soul can live in a clean temple.
    Thank YOU for this teaching.

jgd pranaams and thanks Swami ji for encouraging always, a poor person with torn clothing if clean is better than the rich who is smelling in an expensive dress. Cleanliness at physical mental and spiritual level is very important Shri Rama says in Ramayana ‘ nirmal mana jana so mohi paavaa, mohi kapata cchala cchidra naa bhaavaa ‘ ‘ Tulasi mana nirmala bhayo jaisey Gangaa neera, peecchey peecchey Hari phirey kehata Kabira Kabira’. Cleanliness is followed by Godliness, may we practice to keep clean in and around also onhn sgd

    JGD Appaji
“”Patrani Pushpani Salilani Te Bhaktyarpitaniha Modayate”” – Mother Goddess is pleased if we offer leaves, flowers or even water with devotion (Bhajan – Kameshi Vameshi).
The thought, the feeling and the devotion is of utmost importance. .external purity will in turn help in achieving internal purity. This body, this skin is all given by Him, one day just like discarding clothes we will discard this body and skin for a new one..it is our duty to take care of His things by remaining unattached.
