God resides in the heart of a true devotee :
During the rainy season the swollen rivers rush into the ocean and during the dry summer the rivers, now shallow, severely reduce their supply of water; yet the ocean does not swell up during the rainy season, nor does it dry up in the hot summer. In the same way, a true devotee who has accepted god as the goal of his life sometimes will receive by providence great material rich ,and sometimes he will find himself materially destitute. However, such a devotee of the Lord does not rejoice in a flourishing condition, nor is he morose when poverty-stricken.
Pray to Sadguru to bless us to a achieve such a state …Jgd

wondering what a true devotee might be I come across the atma katha 293 where sri swamiji explains to puttuji of a true disciple. though wondering now what the difference between a true devotee and a true disciple might be, I love it very much. it is like a sign post and I feel the longing to that direction:
