  1. {Infamy – Disgrace. Shame} {Kannada bhajan: Yara gati– Trac 6– Album– Dattatreya Jayanthi 2006– Live in Nada Mantapa}

Dharma is about doing what’s right for humanity- Treating one another with respect, begins with respecting oneself. Adharma may bring applauses now, but is always fatal later– Destiny. It happened to Bali at Upendra (Vamana)’s feet. Rama was famous for “Pran jaye par vachan na jaye- Rather die, than not keep my word”

Yara gati : Born somewhere (huttuvadello), make a living somewhere (bellevudello), we claim many achievements (sadhane maadi). The way we take pride (meredu hoda) in being pretentious & play act (natane madi) our way through life (manava jeevana), only Datta can understand our destiny (gati)!

    Pranams Gurudeva!

Your lyrics reflect your pain seeing such false behaviour. You may dress up like an actor in that turban.. but we know you’re authentic. Adharma is not in your lexicon. So it will be with us. Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji

Thank you for teaching us to be open and truthful all the time, to oneself and others. When we are part of the divine creation and the creator is inside and outside us,…how can we fool ourselves that we can hide anything.. We are Datta devotees, we will follow Appaji..and respect ourselves and also every other creation…

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji. Each day, you are willing to fill our lives with your blessings, if only we are willing to empty ourselves of all negative things to make room for your grace. With these MMS, you have been showing us a better way to live. There is a great difference between pride and self-respect. Help us discern that difference. We wear so many different masks, but underneath all of those roles we play is the true self that has no need of money, fame, romance, luxury, etc. Help us understand and love that divine within and not the false faces of this incarnation which are only temporary. Please give us the strength to break the bad habits that hurt ourselves and others. Help us truly use these MMS to create a new and better life.

Respect is one of the most important things in the relation between human, but also in the realtion from human to nature, to animals and so on. When I can’t respect other things, it is often a sign that I also can’t respect myself really. Human which don’t respect themself easily hurt other, because they don’t really feel the significance of theire action.
Infamy is very hurting and it needs a lot of power to live with it without breaking in the heart.

    Jai guru datta.
Yes it is true that people who have self respect is nothing but god inside them.
Just to infamy them is death. So we will do not do this to anybody from today.

    Jai Guru Datta,
self-respect. To respect one´s self means also to respect the self of others. There is no self respect without the respect for other people, otherwise it would be pure arrogance. So to be disrepectfull to others would mean to be disrespectfull to ones own self. That´s like suicide. The self is the atman, the being, the entity, the life in us. We would not be here without the self. Thank you, Sri Swamiji for reminding is of the self, wich is in all of us. And to remind us to be respectfull and true to our own seves as well as to others.
    Sri Guru Datta.

“Krishnaaya Vaasudevaaya Haraye Parmaatmaney, pranata klesha naashaaya Govindaaye namo namaha” This couplet from Sri Mad Bhaagvat tells me, Lord Guru removes all problems by prostrating to Him with devotion. May Lord bless those who pray to Him. May He help them to get rid of the blames put on their character because insult is worse than death for those who have self respect.O! Jaya Guru Datta Dear Puttuji,

Thank you for teaching us the importance of leading a moral and ethical life through Divine Nandana MMS everyday. Appaji teaches us to lead a dharmic life and treat others as we would like ourselves to be treated. Sri Swamiji is within us and in every being and He is watching the world. We have to be the same person internally and externally and indulge in righteous activities that would do Our Gurudeva proud.

Jai Guru Datta! Self-respect is in a way the last bastion of Ego. The best way to save it is to surrender it at His feet and listen to what He says about past karma, desires etc. One must avoid the feeling of death, or the feeling of worse-than-death, since and if, he/she believes in what the Lord, our Swamiji, says about such things. Ohm Namo Hanumate Namaha!

Appaji’s every day’s MMS is giving us more knowledge in the spiritual path and also guiding us in the Right path which is very useful for our day to day life. In this kaiyuga most of the people are interested in worldly pleasures only for which they go to any extend in their life for earning money through any source and also involve in any kind of bad qualities for achieving their aim. The photography and the Bhajan are very apt for this MSG and especially Appaji’s action and the dress shows clearly How much He is feeling about such kind of people in this world . Puttuji you have explained about Vamana and lord Rama who stands for Dharma And Truth which shows, that is only permanent in this kaiyuga. The MMS 9, 12, and152 are clear examples for this. Therefore basing on all these MMS, Appaji, we got your concept and follow your words and teachings to develop our spiritual path and also do our best for your mission. JGD.

Jaya Guru Datta. Dearest Mother Sri Swamiji, I seek shelter at Your divine Lotus Feet. I am not scared of death but I am scared of what would happen to my children if I die. Yes this is attachment but it is also my duty as a mother to protect and raise them in the right manner. Please protect us from demonic people. I don’t know what to do and I need Your help. Please stay with us. Sri Guru Datta.

    Jai Guru Datta,

how glad am I, not to work in an office any more. I can train self-respect now, with Datta`s help,
having another outlook on life with creativity, feeling self-determined and self-confident.

This was a long way. And after all, the view of the whole brought me to Visvarupa.

Sri Guru Datta & namaste 1000 times …

Jaya Guru Datta! Dear Appaji, I’m not sure if I have understood well enough the word infamy, but by the picture and some comment, I get an idea. I’m now better understanding that whenever one is bad to someone else, one actually is being bad to oneself. That kills. So, there is a double warning not to hurt others and oneself. Sri Guru Datta.

JGD. I often remember hearing Swamiji say that a woman’s reputation women should not be tampered with and utmost respect should be afforded to all women. I pray that we only good to others and ourselves. JGD.

Our own conscience is the most merciless witness and judge of our actions. Even if by God’s grace one is spared from exposure and condemnation by the world, we cannot ever run away from ourselves or our Datta who resides deep within our hearts in the form of our conscience that is forever alert and watching. Those who think that public disgrace and condemnation by the world is painful and worse than death, should certainly re-consider their stand. It is punishment worse a thousand-fold to suffer the secret guilt of having sinned and having to face God who has seen us in the act and knows every detail of our shameful thoughts and actions. The pain of harsh and hurtful words and actions of others is negligible compared to the pain of having let down my Sadguru Dattatreya, when He has placed His full trust upon me. Jaya Guru Datta

Liebster SWAMIJI, was heisst Selbst-Respekt?

True, infamy is very painful to bear. May lord bless us all not to hurt anyone for any reason and we don’t face any infamy.

    • Archana Penukonda on December 16, 2012 at 4:20 am

Jaya Guru Datta! This MMs brought to mind the story of Lord Rama who sent Mother Sita to the forests when a citizen of Ayodhya spoke badly about Mother Sita’s abduction by Ravana. Lord Rama is personification of Dharma and even though there is a spiritual significance to His actions, His story is also a practical example to people in all Yugas. Mother Sita was dearer than life to Lord Rama, but He also demonstrated that to a person with self-respect infamy is intolerable. Swamiji’s life is the story of this Yuga’s Lord Rama, an epitome of Dharma. May we have the discretion to follow Dharma under all circumstances even if we have to give up short term gains. Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet!
