  1. In nature, every entity is happy being what it is, where it is, and whenever it is
Leaves remain attached to their plants.. whether water drops reach them or not. Plants do shed their leaves to survive tough winters, and those leaves grow back again when the chill is gone
The river stays its course in whichever geography it flows. Land on its banks are fertile. Where the river does not flow through, that land may be a desert.. but even the desert revels in its own beauty, and lives its true nature
There are no shortcuts, trade-offs, kick-backs in Nature. Sunshine or rain, Mother Nature lives her true self, every where, every time. That possibly is the secret behind how she has sustained through times good and bad, through the ages!
    Pranams Suryaswaroopa Sathgurudeva!
You’ve enlightened us with the secret of sustained success.. We will always honestly serve your cause & live our true nature. We will never let you down.
    Jaya Guru Datta. Your Puttuji

Was just thinking about ‘Surya Deva’ bhajan, just when the MMS was posted. We are under the care of Guru Datta, who guides us to walk on the path of righteousness. We are confident & fearless. Pranams to Gurudeva on the auspicious day of Ratha Saptami. He is Surya Narayana, the ultimate source of energy, the energy & the light Himself. We feel very happy & energetic, when Sadguru is hail, hearty, happy & energetic. You are Our wealth. You give us fulfillment & satisfaction.

Jaya Guru Datta! Puttugam’s beautiful comments about nature in relationship to this subject are really touching. The bible tells people to be like the lilies of the field. I couldn’t help but remember that quote this morning as I read that comment. Thank you for these lessons! They are deeply appreciated!

This video is touching a problem in me: A part of me has bad feelings, when I get money, this part like to be very poor and don’t want any money. Then I have another part, which knows: here in Switzerland I must have money, when I want live a good life. When I have money I can also send some money to Swamiji and can help like this in different forms. I never knows: when I ask for too much money by my clients, when it is ok? It seems, that it is ok like now, but I am never sure. Here I must work on me and become clearness!

A person who is honest, whether materially rich or not, is much richer then a person who has accumulated material wealth through dishonest acts. I wish to be rich in honesty.

    Rich in money,
    lacking in truth,
thus your mind will not feel good.
    Rich in truth
    with little money,
in the heart you will stay sunny!

Jaya Guru Datta! Swamiji has said several times that we need to pray to God for “buddhi” first. Because the buddhi will help us make the right choices. It’s an illusion that money will bring us happiness. Money can buy things that have a form. And anything with form is unreal. When we get attached to the unreal, it causes more despair and unhappiness. MMS # 193 said “One who wins by unjust means is a coward”. Dishonesty not only shows cowardice, it’s a non-dharmic way of life that takes us away from our real goal in life, which according to MMS #223 is to discover one’s true nature. We live in a very competitive material world. But, I’ve sometimes experienced unparalleled peace of mind when I was able to take away my mind from hankering after all the things my peers and friends place a premium on. I’ve discovered this world of unbridled happiness in this satsang with Puttuji and the Datta family. Money cannot buy this peace of mind. Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet!

The beginning of this mms touches me very much. It remains me at the message of yesterday: we can pray, we don’t have to become dishonest, when we have sorrows. Furthermore we are rich even we have little money: we belong to YOU.
Humble I bow down to YOUR Lotosfeet.

How can one be poor when Datta is her Guru???

    • on February 17, 2013 at 10:54 pm

Appaji has given a good lesson to us through today’s MMS. Puttuji, you have given a nice explanation and that is what Swamiji is expecting from us. In otherwords Appaji is expecting from us to be always Honest in every action of our life. In Mother’s creation in nature, Trees, Plants, Plannets and water are all performing their duty honestly, depending upon their nature. In otherwords they realize their true nature and act accordingly. But in this Kaliyuga , I think, we as humanbeing are attracted more in worldly pleasures and thereby inclined more in unwanted desires. Therefore to full fill such kind of unwanted desires we may be dishonest in our actions also. According to me here our Appaji is giving a warning to us that we should not behave like that and what ever the God has given to us, Be happy with that and we should be able to live with in our limit. The photography and the Bhajan Surya Deva are very apt for this MSG since Appaji Himself is Lord Surya for us. More over both are related to the creation in the nature. Therefore Appaji , we got your concept and be Honest always and serve your mission also in the same spirit. JGD.

Though there are ways to survive financially in a honest way, people just choose dishonesty because it is the easy way out. Some adopt dishonesty because of the pressure of necessity, lack of skills, greed to amass wealth, urge for recognition as wealthier man, to be in lime light…A quote learned in childhood says” Honesty is the best policy and a harmful truth is better than a lie”. Honesty is being trustworthy, fair loyal, genuine, truthful and sincere. Can a person acquire all these traits? Can a person survive being honest in these days where corruption is rampant in all sectors? It is a well known experience in our country that with out paying bribes no work or a file moves through an inch. What to taught to the children? To be honest always or go according to times and situations? It is confusing to decide. Finally a race or society whose evolution is on the foundations of spirituality, could manifest and implement the doctrine of honesty in every moment of life. JGD.

When wealth is lost, nothing is lost. When health is lost, something is lost. When character is lost, everything is lost. Lack of good qualities is absolute poverty says recent MMS. We will copy your honesty, patience, discipline, selflessness, universal love, tireless service, and humility. We will learn from you and follow you to divinity. We will follow all your words and we will always honestly serve your cause and live our true nature.

Splendid message about righteous path. Being honest, speaking truth, not hurting others, extending our helping hands…. are few rules to be followed to lead life in a righteous way. May lord bless us all to be rich by enriching our merits to help others and live as good humans.

Jaya Guru Datta Appaji. what a great message on this RathaSaptami day!! first, the wonderful bhajan on Surya Deva and a very special loaded message from Appaji. Another uniqueness I observed is the nama upfront that is chanted by Appaji Himself – probably the first time ever in so many MMS’ that Appaji chanted the naama. This message ties back to the earlier MMS where Appaji alludes to the fact that means are as important (if not more) as the ends. Jayaho Appaji

Thank You for teaching us the importance of contentment. Whatever we have is Your Blessing.. it may look like a problem initially but one day we will realize its for our benefit only. We can remain calm and unattached in any situation, by knowing You are there with us always!
