  1. Chanting Rama Nama with all my energy (garjane), I abandon (varjane) my desire (kama); My breath (pranadeva) is my best friend (mitra); lobha & moha are my enemies (shatru); In my nerves are your mantra; In my thoughts (yochane) are your dhyana; My actions (karma) are all dedicated (yoga) to you.. Even after such repeated affirmations, we still don’t have peace of mind, and we wonder why.

A million pranams, Sathguru,, Seated in meditation over a chaotic world, you’re letting us know why we suffer this way.. Our words come from our lips.. not from the bottom of our hearts. What a subtle diagnosis! And what a simple powerful prescription! as illustrated by Hanuman.

To Hanuman speech was never a casual affair. His mentor Ram, was his role model, who again kept his word.. whether it was about going in exile, or supporting Sugriva.

We’re fortunate to have you role model such behaviour for us, Prabhu! We’re following you. Jaya Guru Datta. Your Puttuji.

It took me close to six decades to figure out and digest that many people do not mean what they say. The concept of speaking words without actually feeling them was very foreign to me. My bluntness has often landed me in trouble. Still, I was not quick to learn the worldly way of diplomacy. Speak the truth but make it sweet, we are told. It requires a special skill indeed to do so. I pray to Lord Hanuman to keep my heart pure, my speech pure, and that my words do not hurt others even while they come directly from my heart. Flattery and exaggerated sweet words have never been my forte. When it is seen in others now it is very obvious and annoying. Jaya Guru Datta

Jaya Guru Datta! In the Chandi Path, one of the demons that Durga kills is one who pretends to be a friend. How many are there in our lives who are like this, smiling sweetly while in our presence, but working to hurt us in private? Let us be honest friends when we are together and when we are apart.

    Jaya Guru Datta,
words spoken from the heart and not from the intellect are making such a difference. May I listen to my heart and let the heart do the talk.

I try to be in all my words and actions like I am really. But sometimes it is difficult to see, what comes from my heart and what only from my lips. Then I feel my heart not enaugh or I am not sure if I feel really my heart. Life is difficult, I don’t have always the orientation in my feeling and in my actions, but I try it.

Jaya Guru Datta! Your words carry more weight when they come directly from your heart. We all know people who don’t always mean what they say and we know not to give credence to such words. We also know that when people speak from their heart, we like to pay attention to what they are saying. Truly Lord Hanuman was “Sumadhura Bhashi” as Appaji noted in His discourse in Dallas in Nov 2012. Lord Hanuman had nice soothing musical language and always spoke correctly. He always spoke from His heart. His Lord, Lord Rama was of course the same. So, when either Lord Hanuman or Lord Rama spoke, everyone paid attention. People often feel pressure to flatter others or say what’s expected of the situation. But the same people also know that those who speak from their heart are to be trusted over those who only speak fro their lips. Obeisances to the Holy Lotus Feet!

Jai Guru Datta! Only the words coming from the heart are the truth. Otherwise it is better not to say anything. May we get the strength to be silent instead. Koti pranams to Sadguru’s divine feet

    Jai Guru Datta !!

Wonderful Medicinal MMS during Hanuman Festivities in Mysore Ashrama !!

What a fantastic diagnosis of lip service as the reason for lack of peace of mind and what a true prescription to mean words from the heart !! We will treat speech as a non-casual affair and practice thoughtful speech and silence, Appaji. We will mean what we say from the heart and try to uphold our words. Practicing Appaji’s teachings such as kriya yoga, meditation, namasankeertana and strictly following Nandana MMSs we learn to silence our minds and tongue from wasteful thoughts and words.
Definitely we will follow your words, Our Srirama Appaji !!

Sri Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Jaya Rama !! Sri Guru Datta Hanuman Ki Jai !! Om Namo Hanumathe Namah !! Karya Siddhi Hanuman ki Jai !!

Awesome way of conveying the message as one has to speak only truth, anything felt or understood by one’s intellect can hurt others and in turn hurt us. So we tend to talk in altered way so that others can appreciate us!!! There is no need to remember as to what is the conversation with anyone if its truth. It is human nature that everyone have courage to talk truth but not the willingness to face the consequences. So generally feelings are not expressed as they are. It’s true that no one of us have the right to hurt others just because we have freedom of speech, but even without hurting truth can be communicated with affection. I loved the way this message is expressed to speak truth. May lord bless us all to speak words that come directly from heart.

    Jaya Guru Datta
    Jaya Sri Rama
Now we have already 200 invaluable lessons from Sri Swamiji. Each is unique and full of beauty of vision and sound. This today MMS is so nice. It touches my heart seeing the characters of Shatasloki Ramayana interacting with true love and compassion. Sometimes when i write here the words are flowing from deep within – without thinking they are moving my fingers. Then a wonderful harmony can be felt. This must be the right way of writing and speaking. All is given to us by the grace of Sri Swamiji.
Koti Pranams to the Divine Lotus Feet of Sathgurudeva.

    Oh Namo Hanumate Namaha../
In our heart resides our Gurudeva and let Maa Saraswati always bless us with only madur vani. Oh Hanumanji you are praised for vak chaturyam.(Bhuddir Balam …)
This MMS confirms to me that everything expressed by people around me may not be what they actually mean. Let me always use my viveka buddhi and decide. When we speak what we feel we are happy.
Pray that I can express myself without hurting the other person because he/she is Rama too../

What a beautiful MMS, Appaji has given as 200th along with a nice photography on Lord Rama and Bhajan, ( Rama namave Nanna Gargne) on lord Hanuman. In the photography it is clearly seen the position of Hanuman occupying in the bottom place of Rama and it is similar to the Grow crop of Paddy in the field. From this it is a clear evidence that Hanuman is already waiting for any command from Rama ( His Guru) to do it or to act accordingly. Puttuji you also given a good explanation about how Hanuman is seeing Rama, how He is chanting loudly with His full energy, how about His thoughts always, how He is a true, sincere , and obedient devotee to His Master. From this if we also practice like Hanuman through the teachings of our Sadguru, then we can reach in the path of liberation in due course. Here I recollect Appaji’s speech on12/12/12 in Mysore Ashrama saying that, this entire year is Hanuman festival for us. Hanuman is Prabrahmen and supreme soul. Therefore this is being kaiyuga, we follow Lord Hanuman through our Master Sri Ganapathy sachchidananda Swamiji and obtain His blessings by witnessing the inauguration of 70 ft Lord Hanuman on 26 th, Dec: at our sacred Ashrama in Mysore. jGD.

    Jai Guru Datta,
when I let words just come from my lips, and not from the heart, they may lack any meaning. Then they are just noise and distribute only for more confusion. Words spoke right from the heart or not only truthfull but they are charged with the energie of the self and they mean something and thus can change things or move poeple. Maybe when I consider this sentence wholeheardedly , I would say less and thus avoid lots of new karma. Thank you Sri Swamiji, my pranams to your holy lotusfeet.
    Sri Guru Datta.

  3. JAI GURU DATTA! pranam Appaji, it is a excellent message Now-a-days most of people doing false promises, for them it gives to realize this.

Jai guru Datta Appaji! A very powerful message, which is the real medicine for permanent happiness in this chaotic world… the bhajan is very cleansing!

In Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna reminds us of Vangmayam – VachikaTapas – in other words – Speaking Truthfully is equivalent to performing Tapas (Penance). Your profound teachings are subtle and simplified for us – We will speak with you as the Sakshi in our Hearts, so we continuously perform Vangmayam (Penance through truthful speech) always!

In the case of Rama, it is said ‘Oke Banamu Okate Mata’ – meaning One Arrow and One Word. If Rama shoots an arrow, it fulfils Rama’s Sankalpa and His word when given to anyone is always fulfilled irrespective of circumstances, which is illustrated throughout Ramayana.

Please make our Hearts your permanent home. Forever grateful. Sri Guru Datta

This is not easy but I try. I have to feel free at heart, without fear, to let words come truthfully
out of my heart. No matter what is the reaction. Main thing is, that i have a good intention.
The “rest” will be done by God. This is my convincement.
All the worldly aspects should vanish, this is only possible by daily practice, permanently,
so I try and try and try … dear Datta, please help …

    JGD Appaji
When there is true feeling in the heart, even words are not necessary sometimes, it is still communicated.. When there is pure love, silence itself speaks volumes.. With Appaji’s Blessings and His music, lets develop this love towards all of His creation…and lets all speak so that our speech does not hurt anyone.
