  1. The moon appears so cool.. it delights. Yet, it does not have any light of its own. It only reflects sunlight. So, too that water droplet glitters beautifully before it creates its ripples & merges with its larger entity

In delighting those who watch them, the moon & the droplet achieve their purpose.. they win. And when they win, they win without making another lose. That’s win-win thinking. Great!

    Pranams Matruroopa Gurudeva!

Being the Mother of all creation, you want all of us to win. And you want us to win by just means. That means when we win no one else loses. If the moon & the water droplet can do that, we can do that too. Why not?

We can, because, we have you – our Ganapathi – dwelling in our hearts, warding off any obstacle on our path to the win. With such divine 24X7 inner support, how can we be cowards who win by unjust means? No way. You’ve won much tougher battles by just means. We will copy you & do you proud! Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji for this wonderful message this morning. As I read it, I thought about all those who grew up in homes where their parents did drugs and alcohol. In that setting, a child often takes on the role of the parent,(a role they are unprepared for and should never be forced to take) and learns to be deceitful and dishonest in order to “cover up” for the addictions, taking responsibility for the addicted parent’s troubles. Alas, in dealing with the addict’s needs, they lose themselves. They grow up in chaos, often unable to break away from the dysfunction of the neediness of the addicts in the home. They miss the balance a healthy home could bring. That leads them to such a distorted sense of self and reality and often they resort to lies, theft, and other dishonest means to “appear” successful in the outside world, while inside they are being eaten up by trying to make a chaotic world seem sane. This is the case of many in America now. Many come from drug and alcohol addicted homes and this often leads them to dishonest methods to be successful. The simple beautiful lessons that you are giving us here, aren’t the norm for many. How lucky we are!!! I pray for all those who have been the victims of addicts, who are the adult children of alcoholics and drug addicts and are still struggling to find themselves. I pray that they learn that deception “isn’t the norm and that there is help to find inner peace and balance. I pray that they don’t keep taking the cowardly path of covering up for the addicts in their lives and the pain it has caused them and that they find the courage and strength to move into a place of honesty and integrity. I pray that they find the help that they need with all of the support groups and others who are there that really care and want them to be “honestly” successful.

Jaya Guru Datta. Dearest Mother Sri Swamiji, I pray for protection from such cowards. I also pray for you to root out all fear in me and make my faith and devotion grow and grow. I love you. Sri Guru Datta

Such behaviour is unfortunately quite common nowadays. Doing so, one might win in the specific situation, but in fact one will always be the looser in the long-term! If I reflect honestly, I can find situation in which I used means that were not correct for different little things, for example in order to avoid the payment of a parking fine. In the future I will use my common sense to get rid at once of such ideas that might emanate from my mind! May they not appear at all any more so that my mind will be kept cleaner and my behaviour righteous! Thank you so much, dear Appaji, for for blessing us by showing us our weaknesses and transforming us into better human beeings! JGD

Doing unjust means makes life more complicated and transparancy in talk gives logic. I like this statement, because there is no reason to handle like that.

Thank you very much Swami Ji

When I can speak from a win? Only then, when I have performed realy something, what needed all my forces. Otherwise it isn’t realy a win, because it is a normal thing that I could perform it. When I want win something, then it must be something, which provoked me.

    • Manu on December 9, 2012 at 12:52 pm

    Jai Guru Datta,
a coward is somebody who doesn´t want to be held responsible for what he does. He wants to achieve something without being personaly involved and when he takes his gains he wants to escape unseen. A person like this certainly is full of fear and lacks self confidence or actually any sense of self. Thus he is full of greed because the gap in the conciousness where the self should be experienced must be filled with something. In this case it would be anything but the self. So this person actually is an empty shell. Empty in a ghost-like sense, not in a spiritual sense. So using unjust means to achieve his ends is just the logical consequense for such a being. He simply doesn´t know better.
May Sri Swamiji bless us with knowledge off the self, so that we are able to stand on honest ground.
    Sri Guru Datta.

    • Joseph on December 9, 2012 at 1:11 pm

Absolutely true, winning involves lots of patience and energy to turn all efforts to success. One can win only after sincere efforts, if one is scared of failure, then probably unjust means may be opted. Whatever are the efforts one needs God’s blessings to win and tolerance to bear the failure because every effort can’t be a success. Beautiful message conveying message about our sincere attempts to be made for success and be bold to face any consequences. May lord bless us all to have the confidence to win by just means and lead life in righteous way.

This MMS is so nice. All the droplets are necessary to fill the lake so that it can shine in the moon light. Every droplet adds to the beauty of this world, even if most of them are not artistically filmed like this one. By acting with just means we also can add to the beauty of this world by the grace of Sri Swamiji.

Jgd.Appaji tells the Mahabharatha in a single sentence.King Duryodhana, when he failed to eliminate the Pandava brothers,he resorts to the act of Unjust gambling. The King Duryodhana assisted by his maternal uncle,King Sakuni wins the Kingdome of and the selves of Pandava brothers along with Draupathi. The out come of the battle and the end of Evil is well known.

  4. JGD.Unjust means cannot be the right course of action. It causes loss/pain at both the points,if one is in conscientious state.Mind here outwits the buddhi/chittam.A person lacking these(buddhi/chittan) cannot be termed sane. So the insane action could be a coward action only. The winning cannot be a rea,l one but gaining unduly by cheating the others,a stealing or a robbery of possessions of the one.SGD.

To meet justice in thought and deed may be uncomfortable and harsh many times and
    it needs courage.
So to remember beauty of nature, refresh ourselves in it and realize how lucky we are
to relish all the wonderful elements, is a powerful means in my view to overcome
    feelings of smallness and inconvenience.
We only behave like “cowards”, because we think we are underpriviledged
and want to possess things that we seemingly can`t achieve that easily.
To feel like a “looser” is linked to the problem of cowardice. This is a fatal mixture
in my view that makes us faint – heartedly.
So, we should never forget we are all drops of the vast ocean that creates life,
our beautiful life. This MMS shows it again.
Ps Kali Yuga is not easy …

In to day’s MMS, Appaji is reminding us that don’t be coward in our life and we have to face everything both good or bad as per our Karma and try to achieve or win in our every part of our life with out giving any hindrance or loss to others. That means we have to stand in our own foot and win in our life couragesly . Here now a days we can read in the paper stating that some sports men are trying to win in their field by taking energy tablet or medicine and try to win. That means they are doing unjust to their field being coward and not only that they are making others who are really efficient into loss. Therefore through this MMS we can understand the reality of this and we should not try to succeed in our life through any unjustly way by making really loss to others. Appaji , we know that You have developed your mission to such a level only through Your own Foot with out giving any trouble or problems to others. Therefore we as a devotee follow Your path in every aspect of our life and win and also face our karma with courage in all respects. Puttuji you have given a nice explanation for this MMS also. The photography and the Bhajan on Lord Ganesa are very apt to this MSG since Appaji Himself as Ganapathy who remove all our obstacles in our life if we follow His words and teachings and develop the spiritual path. JGD.

    • Archana Penukonda on December 10, 2012 at 2:31 pm

Jaya Guru Datta! Any time we use unjust means, we are losing the battle, not winning it. Our Sathguru is a witness to our thoughts and actions. It doesn’t matter if we get ahead in our career or make a lot of money or achieve a lot of fame. What matters is whether we followed a dharmic way of life. Good or bad karma accrues to our actions. It does take courage to say stick with truth because the path of truth may be a long, windy, torturous one. But even as we travel the long, thorny road to truth, we may suffer and as noted in an earlier MMS, suffering clears away our past sins. That is the path that the Sathguru will hold our hand in. Using unjust means gets us to our goal quickly, but brings with it bad karma and more often than not is achieved at the expense of another living being. Please bless us Sathgurudeva to avoid the short cuts to success and be brave and courageous to walk the path you illuminate for us. Obeisances to the Holy Lotus Feet!

    JGD Appaji
When the divine energy is within us, around us how can we be unjust..how can we fool ourselves..when Appaji is everywhere how can we do wrong intentionally. Our victory is only in following His teachings and in seva

    • Hira Duvvuri on December 13, 2012 at 2:24 pm

When I am just doing my duty, how do others come into the picture? Where is the question of my making others win or lose by my actions? My actions are guided by my Sadgurudeva. It is He, who decides the outcome of my efforts. He is in fact the energy behind my efforts. Success and failure of all efforts, be they mine, or of others, are all in His hands. He is the one who decides. What lopsided thinking would make one steal another’s show? Is that even possible? Have I the power to control another person’s destiny? I don’t believe so. Jaya Guru Datta
