Remembering the Musical Smiling Nandana MMSes:
    # 85 Guru’s divine smile has its source in His eternal bliss.!
    # 171 That which gives beauty to the face and lightens the mind is a smile.
“You are not dressed for the day until you wear a smile on your face. Sadgurudeva wants us to wear that smile, always.”-Puttuji.
Silence and Smile are two powerful tools. Smile is the way to solve many problems and silence is the way to avoid many problems.-SGS.

” The face is the index of mind.”
As a result to have a pleasant countenance, we must have a clear mind. There are many Nandana MMSes teach us how to mind the mind. Let us revise and practice them.
#346 If the mind is beautiful everything looks beautiful.
#294 Chanting God’s name a few minutes at a time, a few times a day, cleans the mind of its odour and makes it smell fresh.
#148 It is the mind alone which is the cause of bondage and liberation.
    # 84 The Sadguru purifies the mind of the ignorant but never gets corrupted in the process
    # 78 A man’s world is a projection of his mind.
    # 2 Cultivate noble thoughts in your mind, express them in pleasant words reflect them in your actions. The way to heaven is this.

    SGS,God Word:
A person should accept the sufferings as inevitable and agreeable that results in ‘profit’ to him. Also, he should treat happiness as disagreeable and unavoidable which results in ‘loss’. Then, for such a person, life ceases to be dull and monotonous.
By consciously cultivating this attitude, a person will acquire the strength to face all the sufferings & happiness that life offers, with a smile on his face & calmness reigning in heart. He becomes a Sthithaprajna, an even-minded person.

SGS, Sri Krishna Janmaashtami, Mysore, Aug 23, 2008 :
“A child once asked Swamiji, ‘Don’t you feel pain in cheeks; you are always smiling & laughing.’ Swamiji replied, ‘Don’t you feel pain; You are always chewing the gum.’ The boy replied, ‘I enjoy the gum. It gives a juice.’ Swamiji too replied, ‘I too enjoy smiling & laughing. It makes others happy.’ I attempt to make them happy & forget their sorrow. In fact it pains me if they don’t smile despite my efforts, not in my cheek or lips but in the heart. I find other methods to make them happy. Still if they don’t laugh, I don’t feel hurt, I just keep smiling. Someday they will realize that they are doing a mistake & will start being happy. It is all a part of the divine play”.
