  1. Parents have a knack of picking up what is wrong with you when they see your face.. you don’t have to tell them. Many things may be going right with you. All that can wait. They want to know what’s wrong, first. To them, what’s wrong with you matters more than what is going right with you. That is how much they love you, and care for you.. Yes?

A Gardener’s mission is to grow each plant in his garden, to its full potential. With that intention when he walks into his garden, his eyes have a knack of spotting that drooping leaf, that small black insect on a petal, that tiny weed in the thick undergrowth.. they all popup in his eyes. The fruits are ripe, plants stand tall, flowers are vibrant, their fragrance fills the air. All that can wait. He attends to those infected plants, weeds and pests before he gets to plants that are doing well. Yes?

Imagine being a Gardner of Humanity.. of this Universe. Beings in this human garden don’t just stand there like plants.. for you to trim and treat them as you will. They can walk away from you when you notice them. Unless they choose to submit to your care, you can’t help them. A pediatrician’s desk is full of toys. He needs them because he has to attract the child to the table. When the child gets carried away by the toy, the doctor holds him with a smile, and puts a stethoscope on his back. Only then can he help the child. Yes?

Saints like His Holiness are on a mission to help humanity achieve its potential. Their MMS 24 / 44157675. To them, Universe = Uni (one) + Verse (song) = One primordial sound.. seed letter ‘OM’. Recall the opening frames of this MMS, and subsequent frames where OM is superimposed on the globe. In their meditation that is the way saints see this universe – One divine song. – MMS 42 / 45411725. In pursuit of their mission, Saints attract the sinners and hold them – like a doctor attracts and holds a child – with the only intention of transforming them. Saints attract the sinner, so that the sinner chooses to submit to the care of the saint. Only then can the saint help.

And sinners have to be transformed.. those sick plants have to be nursed to good health, in the interest of the garden. Remember MMS 87 / 46433284 – .. That is how sinners happen.. like the blue patches of water that dry up completely in desert sand.. as seen in the early frames in this MMS. Those dried up minds have to be nourished back to sanity, in the interest of humanity. Only Saints like our beloved Gurudeva can do it, because they are full of unconditional love, and have conquered desire and despondency. With such divine grace MMS 84 / 46432194.

Many Ratnakar’s in this Kaliyuga. Very few Appaji’s to attract and hold them with an intention to transform them into Valmikis. Dear Gurudeva, We are fortunate to be in your caring hands. Insulated by your grace, we will guard ourselves against sinful thoughts and deeds. With that vigor, we dedicate ourselves to your mission.
With humble pranams at your lotus feet, Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji.

Every second of betrayal, condemnation, anger, frustration, fear, confusion, resistance, sadness, every difficulty faced, every loss has been healed by Your love, Swamiji….

    • Savitri on September 8, 2012 at 9:28 am

Swamiji don’t want anything from the other. Once He explained me, that He always must be free. All what He does He does it without expecting something. He only gives, He doesn’t expect. So He stay always free. He is really a saint. We are allowed to be near from He that we can grow in our souls. A guru, who is not really a guru, expect things like money. Also other thing are expected like special work etc. I am happy to have a real Guru. I know that Swamiji let me be free. He shows me, what is good for me, but it’s always myself which can choose. When I am clever, I choose that, what Swamiji is showing me, because I could experience often, that it is really the best.

JGD Appaji. Only a Sadguru has the patience and the armoury to transform any individual into a good soul. Puttuji explained the analogies between gardener, paediatrician and Sadguru. I cannot agree more. Sadguru has many different ways to attract individuals to Himself. He first becomes what the individual needs Him to be, then, attract the individual and then start His invisible process of transformation. He even gives away special treats to the individual. He keeps the individual occupied with His divine play and ensures that the transformation is happening deep inside, slowly and steadily and in a permanent way. Only by His grace and His silent lessons, the individual is transformed into someone the Sadguru wants. I have been on the receiving end of this grace and lessons. I cannot describe my gratitude towards Appaji for making me who I am today, in every sense. Thank you Appaji, lots of love, pranams at your lotus feet. JGD!

    Jaya Guru Hanuman,

This message reminded me of a verse from Datta Stavam:

Soshanam papa pankshaya, Deepaanaam jnana thejasaa
    Thaapaa prasamanam vande, Smarthrugaami Sanovathu

Below is a beautiful explanation of this verse from Datta Stavam book in English –

“The reason that difficulties occur to human beings is the sins that they have committed in their past lives. This sin spreads around them like a bog (quagmire of sticky mud) that pulls them downs into its depths. They get tightly stuck in it.

The elders describe the situation thus – In some lifetime one commits a sin. As a result of it he gets born into poverty (materialistic or emotional or spiritual) in the following life. Forced by circumstances caused by poverty he commits more sins. As a results of these fresh sins he is born into poverty again. It becomes almost impossible to get out of this vicious cycle. That is why our elders caution us to beware of committing sin, because sin is like a quagmire.

When Lord Datta finds His devotees stuck in this situation, what He first does is to dry up the mud by lighting the lamp of knowledge. When by the Divine Light of knowledge the sins get dried up, all miseries and difficulties vanish at once.

I offer prostrations to the lord who manifests the moment I remember him.”

Humble prostrations to the lotus feet of Sri Swamiji who is the Divine Light of Knowledge

jgd Puttu Ji Saints only show the path for reforming, at times They walk with us too. An old hindi song reminds me of a prayer ; ” Ai Maalik Tere bandey hum………. ‘barhaa kamzor hai aadami , abhi laakhon hain usamey kamin, par Tu jo kharhaa, hai dayaaloo barhaa Teri kirpaa se dharati thami, diyaa Tuney hamain jab janama Tu hi jhelegaa hum subke gam, neki par chalein aur badi se talein taaki hansate huye nikale dum “.( O! Lord we are Your men……we are very week, we have lots of shortcomings, but You are there, very compassionate, Your compassion holds this earth, You gave us this birth, You will bear sufferings for us (You will give the strength to suffer), we should walk on the right path, we should avoid wrong , so that we can die happily). Thank You, Appaji, for transforming this sinner. Never shall this sinner understand why You decided to save her… Appaji yanked my arm and pulled me up from the ground. My arm still holds the memory of that day as a permanent reminder of what could have happened- but didn’t… only because of You. Just let me return my gratitude by serving You as BEST as possible all the days of all my lives. Jai Guru Datta!

It’s a magical message that Puttuji has passed on to us from our venerated Swamiji. How fortunate to be in the folk faithful to our Sadguru. He has already attracted us all to Him and the transformation has begun then onwards. Let us stick to the process and never relent. May our Appaji shower His blessings to stay put in His benign looks.

Jaya Guru Dutta. Transformation – this is the magical word that truly explains my spiritual journey with Sri Swamiji. Someone who started very early in life in search of moksha and failed to find hands that would point to it, later turned an agnostic, I am testimony to this Nandana message. My joy is unbound all thanks to the purer and austere paths Sri Swamiji is walking me through. Moksham is no longer my goal. I have no goals. I want Sri Swamiji, and my devotion to stay. Forever. Koti Pranaams to the Divine Lotus Feet of Sri Swamiji and Sri Balaswamiji and Sri Puttuji. Sri Guru Dutta. Sreevidya

JAYA GURU DATTA! Thank You very much, dear Puttuji for Your excellent comment!
I try day by day to root out all my weed, beloved Sadgurudeva with all Your help and care! You really are the best and most graceful gardener in the whole universe! I bow down to your holy lotusfeet with a thankful heart again and again.S.G.D.

  4. Dear SwamiJi, I has always believed, I would not be worthy and would have to fight for my redemption. Redemption? Yes, from the bad person in me. I have thought even long, I would be a bad person because I did not have these affectionate parents who look after her child. I honor them, nevertheless, they did not know it better. However, I have learned only late that I am a valuable person. When I saw you dear Appaji the first time personal, it was in Munich in 2001, came first a wave of tenderness by the door, and then you came. At that time I did not know you yet personally, however, my heart has reacted to this friendliness. Something in me became quiet. Thank you for this MMS. Koti Pranams.

it has always been an encouraging and hopeful saying that the Divine has the absolute power to transform sinners into saints. in daily life we may experience that ignorance, unconsciousness and ego are holding us in firm grip and seem to be of great force. so often i experience that out of my own limited efforts it would be never possible to be purified from all the accumulated sins. it is only the grace and the unending love of sri swamiji holding me close (although I may often not feel it) that creates the power for purification and transformation. reflecting on this makes me aware that it is not given for oneself but for serving the best one can.
I lovethe double sided meaning of this mms with the mms of the previous day change yourself. we have to change ourselves with all effort we are capable of, and it is only accomplished by the transformative power of our beloved sadguru.
    OM NAMO HANUMATE NAMAHA

Jaya Guru Datta Dear Appaji, Thank you for finding this sinner and cultivating that weedy garden within this devotee. I pray for continual transformation through the fertilizer of LOVE that you provide. Your bhajans and prayers are most effective gifts that provide that daily dose of fertilizer and at the same time, destroy the negative ways. You are the most beautiful and being such are the most attractive force in this creation. I am so Grateful. Sri Guru Datta

    JGD Appaji
Like Dattatreya, Appaji can transform the whole world to be sinless in an instant. But whats the purpose of that, we wont comprehend or learn…Like a compassionate, caring mother, Appaji wants us to grow, learn, face our Karma and also purify ourselves, so that we understand the true meaning of this life. He wants us to be better souls and finish the game properly.
