  1. Imagine landing on Mars.. You’re the only living being. How different would life be? Would you enjoy the loneliness? Would that be life at all? If that possibility delights you, just ask yourself : If there isn’t a ‘’you’’ in this world, where is the possibility for a “I”? Isn’t it the ‘’other’’ that makes the ”me” relevant? Without “them”, ”I” am incomplete. My life is meaningful because others share my life. We’re either a collective family, or we’re nothing. No ‘we’, no ‘I’.

Pranams Gurudeva, Today, you’ve simplified for us, the Maha Upanishad concept of ‘Vasudeva Kudumbakam’ – ‘Universal Brotherhood’. We are grateful to Jayalakshmi Mata for demonstrating this virtue through your avatara. The more we fragment our world in the name of freedom of mankind, the more we need to live this virtue. We will. Through such virtuous living, we will fulfil your mission of bringing heaven on earth. Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji

  2. I feel ever so happy ever since you have taught me Appaji, the meaning of “Love All”. Although I had played a lot of tennis in younger days, “Love All” never carried this meaning then. I have been seeing you hug a goat, talk to a donkey, chat with a parrot, and heartily embrace many a devotee and show extraordinary amounts of love regardless of their age, race, gender, quality of personality, and status, I feel like doing the same now. loving each girl as a daughter, each young man as a son, each elderly person as a parent, and each bird or animal as my own pet. It has totally enriched my life. The love that brims in my heart now gives me immense joy. Your influence on my life and behavior are tremendous. Thank you for this great MMS. Thank you for being our model. Today I will make a greater effort to express my unconditional love towards more beings who are present in my life than ever before, including even plants and bugs, smiling at them more, saying sweeter things to them, and offering assistance more. Whether it makes the others happier or not, it makes me feel on top of the world to “Love All”. JGD

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji! What a beautiful message…here in the west we are raised to believe we have dominion over nature. Sometimes that translates to harm and destruction for the critters around us. With so much development going on, our wild things have so few places to go. If we would learn to love them as part of our families as you are teaching us, then we would make room for them in our hearts, homes and yards. How easy it is to plant a butterfly garden, to have a bird feeder or a deer feeder, to care for a stray cat or dog….we have so many simple options to include and love the wild things around us….Thank you for this message! Sri Guru Datta!

  3. Before Swamiji came into my life, if I saw two empty seats next to me on an international flight, I would have quickly grabbed both of them and would have stretched out in a hurry, leaving the other lady at the end of the row nothing but her single seat. This time my behavior was different. I looked at the lady. I felt as if she were my daughter. I motioned to her that we each could occupy two seats and stretch out the best we could, overlapping spaces as needed. We both slept comfortably. I saw in her eyes the warmth of gratitude. A young girl readily agreed to take me shopping in an unfamiliar city to buy some needed supplies. After 4 hours of my purchases, when I offered to buy her a dress of her choice, with the genuine feeling that she is like my own daughter, her eyes sparkled. It made my day. Thank you Swamiji for teaching me to love, step by step, the way you love us all, So often, I look at mighty old trees and feel as if they are my ancient relatives who have witnessed far more in their lives and are far wiser. I silently pray to them to share with me some priceless lessons. There is nothing more precious than a heart filled with love. Lovely MMS Appaji. Thank you.

Imagine a world where we all treated each other as family…. Appaji you are the head of this Datta family and we shall heed your words.

    Jaya Guru Datta Appaji,

So nicely said in the MMS. Pujya Sri Swamiji is a personification of love and compassion, hence all live beings attract towards him. In this busy mundane life, we don’t even get time to smile at each other. A simple smile can makes someones day beautiful. I pray to pujya gurudeva to bless us with love and compassion to treat all as our family members. Thank you Puttuji for such excellent video.

Jaya Guru Datta! Thank You for this message, Puttuji! Our Sathguru is our role model in every walk of life. Pujya Sri Swamiji has shown us the meaning of this message by living it. Pujya Swamiji shows a lot of love and attention to all animals and plants. In our several cycles of births in the past, we don’t know how many were in the form of animals, and which kind of animals. So, animals are really jeevatmas going through the cycles of birth just as we are.
As for humans, we are all guided by similar wants, needs and desires. God made us all equal and God loves our neighbor just as much He loves us, even if our neighbor is an atheist. By treating all living beings as one family, we not only show our love for God and His creation, we begin to experience the hand of God in everything and His presence in every one. Obeisances to the Holy Lotus Feet!

This MMS touches me so very deeply in my heart. Sri Swamiji giving Divine Mother’s Love for all creation. We are all connected at the very deepest level of being, breathing in air that has been breathed by plants and other people and animals, drinking water that has passed through countless other bodies, in resonance with each other’s emotions, thoughts, energies, prana……….. Paramatma

Thank you so much Swamiji for this most beautiful blessing.

Appaji, even the way you loudly read this MMS, I could feel a compassion and love for everyone. I yearn to see your eyes Appaji, for all the compassion and affection they house for all animate beings. I feel like a child who is lured to sweets and chocolates. Amma had inculcated this principle of universal brotherhood in You and you have inculcated this in us. People of all faiths and languges throng to you so effortlessly, you are some enigma. Loads and loads of gratitude. Vasudeva Kutumbam to the “T”.

  4. Jai Guru Datta, thank you Swami Ji for guiding us towards Universal Brotherhood. On analyzing this message we find that it is true that all the living beings are interdependent on each other.

Jaya Guru Datta. I simply adore this lesson as this is very important to me as I contiune to strive to achieve and practise this… at times it proves a challenge and yet at other times it is quite simple.
Thank you for reminding me of this at this very moment, you know just the right moment to send us simple yet effective reminders so we can continue to be on the right path. Thank you ever so much Appaji for always loving us and teaching us….

For Appaji, the whole universe is His family…He shows us by example, the meaning of compassion and love.. We have a limited circle of people in our life, and we have complaints with each other… lets put differences aside and learn the true meaning of Love. Lets start with our homes, then friends and spread our love everywhere.. Thanks Appaji!

All members who share life includes not only family members but also friends, colleagues and neighbours. These people are the support, to lead daily life. To treat all of them as family members, explains that one should be friendly and share with all of them. Having grudges and enmity will only destroy our peace and happiness. But this would be a magical concept if followed by everyone because we can have all people helping and caring around us. Before asking others to follow, it should start from me, so I wish to follow this message because if I can’t love and care for people around me then I can never serve an unknown person with compassion.

    Acquire vairagya ~ 6 Oct 2012

Namaste Puttuji, Nice video. One who gives up despair can alone acquire vairagya. Vairagya is not only giving up material objects but also giving up a wish to get something better even in a spiritual path. Accepting whatever happening as Guru’s wish can alone let one acquire vairagya as the disciple who accepts everything as Guru’s wish accepts praise and blame equally. Such disciple will not have despair too. Thank You. Namaste.

Treat as one family all who share your life – 6 Oct 2012

Ours is a big Datta Family. This is the family of thousands that has been brought together by the divinity and unconditional love of our Parama Pujya Appaji. The one common aspect that binds all of us is Sri Swamiji, His ideals, His teaching and His bid to involve each and every one of us in His mission so we benefit from it eventually. All these people share experiences, happiness, hardships with each other. Through this sharing, a sense of bonding has developed amongst us and with this nosing we work together for many social causes that have been initialed by Sri Swamiji! Isn’t our a truly great family? And this head of this wonderful family is our dearest Appaji. Thank you so much for making us a part of this Datta family! Jaya Guru Datta!

this mms touches a deep longing to constantely live in this family feeling that we experience in sri swamijis presence and we feel in His ashrama not as a dream but as a vibrant reality. I have always loved to be in nature – cherishing the beauty and feeling the connections between all forms of life always makes me very happy and feel in tune with my beloved sadguru. it makes me suffer to see and feel how much of the original diversity of nature and the balance of all being has vanished. and I feel so consoled to know and experience how You are undertaking everything to rescue and restore the purity, majesty and magnificence of Your Divine creation. may we be able to serve You the utmost possible full of joy and awe.
