Worship is one  : As I listen to these divine words,  I remember I must not get distracted by the diversity of forms around me.  I must stay focused on the one supreme divinity that expresses through all of them.  Even a bee recognizes the honey in all flowers, without being carried away by their multiple colors.   If I choose to be like that bee,  I will see water in all its splendor, when I see a river, a pond, a lake, or an ocean.    I will see the creator in all his splendor, when I see idols and symbols in various shapes and sizes in places of worship irrespective of which religion they belong to.  Appaji demonstrates this virtue when He entertains leaders from all religions in India and abroad.   I realize that I can experience the bliss of true divinity only when I learn to see through all that diversity.   Pranams at your holy feet, Sadguru deva! Your puttuji..

Devotion to duty  :  A carpenter worked for a contractor for 30 long years. He told his boss that he wanted to retire because of his old age.  The boss asked him to build one last house before he retired.  The carpenter agreed reluctantly.  He could not refuse that request.. and agreed half-heartedly to do the job.  He built that house last house in a hurry. Since his heart was not in the job, his workmanship was very shoddy. He used inferior materials, fewer nails. He knew this was not his best work… but he had to complete it just for the sake of completing it.  At last, when he finished, he was relieved.  His boss came in and inspected the work he had done.  The boss did something the carpenter never expected. “ You have been my loyal servant for 30 years. I hate to let you go.  As my gratitude to you, I gift this house to you and your family. Please accept my gift”.   The carpenter was shocked.  He did not know what to say.  If only he had known that he will live in that house, he would have built it very differently. But it was too late. He had to live in that shoddy house.     This is what happens to us when we are not completely devoted to our duty.    So, my dear Gurudeva, everything I do, I do as a seva to you ..  So I strive for perfection in everything I do.  Thank you for instilling this attitude in me. Am very grateful to you for this blessing!      your PuttuGam..

Jaya Guru Hanuman Swamiji, This video reminds me of Sri Swamiji’s quote:

Flowers are many but Puja is one,
Cows are many – but milk is the same,
Languages are different – but the thought is one,
Sounds are many – but the Rhythm is the same,
Sadhanas are different – yet Mukti is one,
Vedas are many – but Moksha is one,
Namaroopas are different – yet God is the same,
Lights are myriad – yet Jyoti is the same,
Gurus appear many – yet He is only one.

    Om namo hanumate namaha

  2. JGDD thank You Appaji for teaching us to respect all religions as there are so many names for God…so many different kinds of prayers, but like water turns to vapor when heated…all prayers rise up to God and are heard…SGDD

Jaya Guru Datta! Om Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Sadguru Namo Namaha! Lord Datta, the Guru of all Gurus is above all faiths, all religions, all dieties and all beliefs. What a beautiful message this is! Most of the conflicts in the world will end if every soul on earth understands this.
