  1. Thoughts are the seeds of behaviour. Behaviors are the seeds of consequences. Consequences are seeds of belief. Beliefs are the seeds of what we become. I think I can swim, I learn swimming, every applause I get after a swim encourages me to swim again. Repeated rewards make me believe am a great swimmer. It all begins with a single thought. As you think, so you become. You can only choose what thoughts you want to entertain in your mind. Once you sow the thought, the behaviours will manifest sooner or later. Consequences follow. Once a gardener has sown an apple seed, he has no choice but to accept the apple that comes out of it. The seed IS the fruit. Being is becoming. Dear Appaji, You taught us Kriya Yoga & Meditation, to watch & choose our thoughts. We only have to practice. As we practice, we’ll become. Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji.

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji! What a surprise this message was this morning! Just before I woke up this morning, in a dream, I saw an image of Durga. I was so happy to have that dream darshan and then I opened this message and there She was again…this must be a message to which I must pay particular attention! I love your two second miracles!

This principle I can study very good by my work as therapist. I have especially a man in my head, who thought always negativ. His life was a desaster. Step for step he learnd to think positv. Now his life has changed much. I see it also by me very good. It is very important to control the thinking!

    Jaya Guru Datta
    Dear Appaji,

So i pray for good thoughts…

    OM NAMO HANUMATE NAMAHA

  2. very true. You would be what You want to be ( Bhramara keetaka Parinamamu ). One who thinks Positively would get positive results and the one who thinks negatively get negative results or Positive though leads to positive result; negative thought leads to negative result. Therefore better to engage thought on God and Satguru.

Thank you, Sadgurudeva Datta, for teaching us this very important lesson. It is so true when we stop to think about it. This had not occurred to me before.
Our thoughts determine our feelings, our character and behavior. When I am thinking happy thoughts, nice friendly thoughts about you or about others, I am happy and energetic. I do positive things. I keep my surroundings clean. I do things that give joy to me and to others. But when I am crying about the past, or worrying about the future, or finding faults in others, my mind is spoiled. My actions are not efficient or good. Either I remain idle and unproductive, or I do things to hurt others. My words are bad. My life is miserable. That is why I love to think about you always. You keep my mind very very happy. You make me do nice things. You help me and others through my positive and cheerful attitude. You make me a whole new good person. Perhaps, If I keep on thinking of you alone and nothing else or no one else, I will become as sweet as you. Please bless me, “So be it.” Jaya Guru Datta

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji! What an apt image of Durga to begin this MMS! The ancients have given us the beautiful 700 verses of the Chandi Path to clearly see how she helps us conquer our negative thoughts with Her weapons that are ours to use as well…Her sword of faith which kills hypocrisy, anger and bad memories, her arrows of speech which help us fight temptations, foul language, self-deprecation and conceit and blindness to that which we need to see…all of her weapons, her bowl of renunciation, her lotus of peace, her rosary of alphabets, her battle axe of good actions, her club of articulation, her thunderbolt of illumination, her bow of determination, her water pot of purification, her conch of vibrations, her bell of continuous, her wine cup of joy, her pike of concentration, her net of unity, her discuss of revolving time are all her gifts to us to help us conquer those inner enemies and allow good thoughts to grow and blossom! Jai Ma! Jai Swamiji!

Powerful message of Sri Swamiji indeed and I feel this is more of an extension of the last two MMS ‘A Perfect Mind …’ and ‘Do not cry that you are a sinner …’
“Yad Bhaavam Tad Bhavati” a similar sookti that Appaji has given us in the ‘Sadguru Sookti Sangraha’ book. The more we think about our problems or talk of them to others, the more importance we are giving to the problems. We will have to start developing positive attitude, think all good and start to ‘count our blessings’.
Heartfelt Thanks to Pujya Appaji for giving us another gem to ponder upon and remember every second of our lives…

    • Praveen Nidumolu on September 18, 2012 at 11:17 am

Jaya Guru Datta Puttuji – A million thanks for providing us with a very elaborate step-by-step explanation of how a thought from the past is the causal force for the manifestation of the Present and how our thoughts in the present can truly shape our Future!

Pujya Appaji, JGD. You have Graced upon us good thoughts, teachings and wisdom – Time and Again, in your own inimitable style – to change our present thoughts, so we can make a positive impact on our surroundings through our words and actions thereby producing a surreal Healing effect to the entire Universe. thereby helping us fulfill the purpose of our existence…

The animation of Appaji’s reflection forming in the lake is a compelling reminder of the lesson that How we think & manifest in the present, creates a similar experience of the Future (represented by the proportionate reflection).
Appaji – Please bless us with the proper thoughts in the present that enable us to be your instruments (like the weapons in Mata Durga’s hands) in the future! SGD

Jai Sri Mata! On this Gauri Ganesha Chaturthi this is such a wonderful saying. This has reverberated in my consciousness for many decades and to be reminded of it in this way is very powerful indeed. As long as I continue to listen to Sri Swamiji’s bhajans and incorporate the other Divine gifts He has bestowed, then I can become that. This is what He says. Thank you, Puttuji. Jai Ganesha!

Namaste Puttuji, Nice video. Wonderful bhajan. As you think, so you become. Thinking about Sadguru, so we become. In Datta Darshnam, Lord Datta tells King Yaduraja about His 24 Guru’s, one of them being bramarakeetakam describing if anyone constantly thinks about someone, so you become. Puttuji, you gave us MMS videos and the upcoming competition for which we are all preparing, Appaji through You created such a situation for us to keep thinking of Appaji’s sayings and videos all the time. This will surely make us move forward towards becoming Sadguru Himself. Namaste Puttuji. Thank you.

As you think so you become ~ 18 Sept 2012

Thoughts make a person. Good thoughts lead to good actions. All of us get both good and bad thoughts. But we need to filter the bad thoughts and retain the good thoughts. The filtration process of bad thoughts is taught to us only when we come in contact with Sadguru. Good thoughts make a person righteous and he is respected by all. As it is rightly said ” Yad Bhaavam, Tad Bhavati”, As you think so you become. The bhajan is aptly selected for the quote, wherein we are asking Goddess Durga Parameshwari to grant us the Yoga Siddhi.

Pujya Sadgurudeva is verily the embodiment of Goddess Durga Parameshwari. I beg Pujya Gurudeva to help us in guiding our thoughts in the right direction and grant us the yoga siddhi needed for liberation. Shree Sadgurubhyo Namaha, Jaya Guru Datta.

Thank You , Appaji. This is direct, short and an essential teaching. This may be one of the most important things for us to remember right now. ” Oh my Guru infinite, Datta i pray show me light! Keep my mind always right; give me might, help me fight!”

    Jaya Guru Datta!!

After prayers to Lord Ganapathy, our first SGS MMS lesson itself started with Cultivating noble thoughts, to watch our thoughts,as they become our destiny. SGS MMS keeps purifying us further and further.

Today’s wonderful MMS and Puttuji’s explanation “The seed IS the fruit. Being Is becoming” is imprinted in my mind. Sadgurudeva’s grace I will pick up good thoughts and will keep climbing towards self realisation.
    What I become, Appaji’s wish !!

    Jaya Guru Datta!
Through Sri Swamiji we learn to see the world differently. He teaches us through experiences. Everyday we can learn from all what happens to us. Pujya Sri Swamiji said in Datta Swarupa, On Life and Living (Dec 1984): “If you accept the sufferings as inevitable but agreeable experiences culminating in ‘profit’, and treat happiness as disagreeable and unavoidable which result in ‘loss’, life ceases to be a drab and monotonous affair. By consciously cultivating this attitude, you will acquire the strength to face all the sufferings and happiness that life offers, with a smile on your face and calmness reigning in heart”.
This way of thinking is not easy to adapt. When analyzing the happenings it is best to ask yourself the reason of your behavior. And not to contemplate on the results achieved.
Koti pranams to the Divine Lotus Feet of Sadgurudeva.

Puttuji, by seeing Appaji’s MMS every day it seems our Mind has got an important role in our life. A teacher has got an important role in build up a carrier of a student and similarly a Sadguru has got the role to show us the spiritual path also for our life. In this MMS how Appaji has told beautifully that the mind is responsible to build up our carrier as we think. Puttuji you have given some examples like if you think you want to become a swimmer you have to learn and practice swimming. Similarly a student think that he want to become a doctor he has to go for medical course. Therefore from this we note that every thing is controlled by our mind only in our life what we want to become. At the same time for our spiritual path we need a Sadguru also who Will guide and control our mind in the proper way which is the ultimate aim of our life. In this Kaliyuga we are so fortunate to get our Sadguru who offers you for the spiritual path like Yoga, Pooja, Homa, Music, Bhajan and so on. At least we can choose any one of these and practice or listen or learn or study or concentrate what ever may be. By doing this we can control our mind and a stage will come that we can drive our mind also.this is what Appaji wants us to practice so that what we think we become. The photography is so nice wherein the clouds are moving very fast which indicate our mind also like that. Hence naturally we have to control that speed which only through our Sadgur can do that for which we have to follow His words and teachings.    JGD.

JAYA GURU DATTA! How many times Appaji emphazises this most important topic. To think positiv always. I try to see the half full glas instead of the half empty glas and hope very much that one day I overcome all my bad thoughts with the precious help of my beloved Sadgurudeva. My humble pranams to my beloved Appaji`s lotusfeet. S.G.D.!

    • on September 19, 2012 at 12:04 pm

Reminds me of what you said “Thinking is acting mentally”. Indeed Puttuji. We become what we think and so, it is of utmost importance to think optimistically for our own self and for people around us. This MMS is again a reminder of previous ones. You, Appaji, in the form of Amma is teaching and helping us to conquer all our inner enemies and negativity so that we mold ourselves into good human beings. Apt invocation of Mother Goddess here. Am not underestimating the power of repitition. JGD Appaji!!

Jgd dear Appaji! Thanks so much for this wonderful MMS and reminder! Yes everything what we think, we will become, consciously or unconsciously. Thats the reason also, how i understand it, Kriya Yoga, Pooja etc is all important for purifying us. We have so many thoughts which we are not aware of, bez they are unconsious still. So, through practicing, we get first aware of our thoughts first plus purify them and also, we need to pray for good thoughts and for transformation of negativity. thank you for all the messages and all the vehicles ( Kriya Yogaetc) which we can practice, dear Appaji! jgd

    JGD Appaji!
Our actions are a reflection of our mind. A pure mind reflects a pure heart.. Just like Appaji who is purity Himself in and out. If our mind is pure, our actions will also be faultless.
Constant listening to Appaji’s music is the best way to purify and stabilize the wavering mind.

    • Joseph on December 20, 2012 at 9:18 am

Absolutely true, thoughts are the basic blocks of construction known as actions, so it is neccessary to take care of our thougts which are always righteous and towards welfare of others through which we are helping ourselves and others respectively. Thinking in a positive way and inculcating devotion reforms us to better humans and experience the almighty. May Lord bless us all with good thoughts so that we lead our life in righteous path.
