  1. To a 5 year old, her mother is a playmate. As she grows to be 10, she sees Mother as means to do homework. To a teenager, mother is a friend in need. To a 20 year old, her mother looks so out dated. To a 30 year old, mother seems to make some sense. To a 40 year old, mother is role model. To a 50 year old, her mother is Guru & God
Perception matures as awareness transforms to knowledge & then to wisdom. Earlier the transformation, greater the chance to lead the higher life
Brahma is the Lord of Creation. His consort Saraswathi presides over man’s learning about Creation & the Creator. Guru is the coach & role model, helping each player relate to his Creator & his Creation, in ways that lead him to the higher life. Those who see the Coach as just another player, miss the bus
Pranams Dattaswarupa Gurudeva ! Pardon us if we in our immaturity are seeing you as an ordinary human being. Thanks a ton for awakening us from that ignorance. Jaya Guru Datta. Your Puttuji

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji! Since we as humans can’t “see” the Divine because all that surrounds us is finite, it is hard for us to think of that which is infinite….and yet you demonstrate over and over again your lack of limitation. You know every thought, feel every emotion….you are with each of us simultaneously in every place….we have no words but human words to describe that…maybe divine languages like mudras, dance, music, poetry and arts might express a bit of that spirit…These are Saraswati’s tools…thank you for reminding us to go higher in our thinking and expression…

Jaya Guru Datta. I was introduced to Sri Swamiji through the wonderful Datta Kriya Yoga classes I attended. When Sri Swamiji came to town I took the opportunity to see in person the founder of my beloved Datta Kriya Yoga. What a fool I was though, I only saw a human being. What a sin, but when I later apologized to Sri Swamiji He just waved His hand away and smiled so lovingly as He said something like… It is nothing….Knowledge will come little by little. It was only through His Divine Grace that I saw that Sri Swamiji is no human. The experiences I had are too fantastical and beyond words to even attempt to explain here. I didn’t even believe in God, yet God believed in me. What can I say other than I love you Divine Mother? I love you, I love you, I love you. I seek refuge at Your Divine Lotus Feet. Sri Guru Datta.

Jaya Guru Deva Datta!!! Thank you Appaji for the reminder again!!! We humans tend to forget this truth even after receiving so many blessings from Sadguru.
Absolutely beautiful video. The visuals and bhajan is so aptly selected for the message !!!
Also, thank you Appaji for blessing us with all the live webcasts of Appaji’s programs so we can have Appajis darshan, be in the divine association of our beloved Sadguru Deva, and get energized and recharged.

    Jai Guru Datta
    Dear Swami AVADHOTTA
In my life a lot of friendships change, friends became helpers or some turned away from me, some hold until the end of the life of my friends…changing is life…
Also my contact to YOU APPAJI changed in the last 25 years…YOU are the mirror of the ABSOLUTE always and as older i became, i can understand this.
Please forgive me my sins and let me wake up 🙂
In the past i always thought to became spiritual, is big thing of wisdom, understanding the Vedas, difficult Yoga practice and so on but more and more i understand to be a spiritual soul, is to be honest, simple, thankful, happy, compassionate, disciplined and looking to God and not to become equal, with the people around me; this always i tried to become, to stand not behind, to be a part of them…
But both is possible, this is the challenge, i try to do my very best :-))) and with YOUR blessings i will grow.
Sri Guru Datta and Happy Deepavali <3 <3 <3

Jaya Guru Datta, dear Sadguru Deva, beloved Appaji! You appear in human form in front of us. Yes, it can easily happen that we think of You as a human being. But how could an ordinary human being create so many wonders on this world? Sometimes You say that Swamiji is like a supermarket, and each of us can take what he/she feels is right for him/her. Could an ordinary human being create such a huge supermarket with so many many many divine „products“? Could any ordinary human being transform us as You do? Why do I get tears when I see you again physically after a longer time? Even today, watching yesterday’s wonderful US-concert on livestream website: As soon I saw You appear on the stage I cried out of joy! Do I get such deep feelings of happiness in other life situations, for example when I meet beloved ones, even after a long time? No, sure not, it is completely different.
How can we be so blind and sinful ignoring that You are God Himself? Please pardon us if we sometimes do. And thank you for reminding us about it! How blessed we are to be on this world just now and to have been accepted as Your devotee ! I love you, dearest Appaji !

  2. One has to experience contact with our AVADHUTA SWAMI APPAJI to realize that
we are always in the aura of eternity itself. We are gifted to have this privilege in this janma.

    Jai Guru Datta,
a human being is constituted by his mind. The Guru´s mind is far beyond ordinary human comprehension, maybe because it´s in a state of onness – no duality, and the ordinary human mind is caught in a dual state. Both states exclude each other, so a Guru´s mind simply cannot be compared to that of a normal human mind. It think that even though it is in onness , the mind of the Guru includes the dual mind, but goes far beyond it – thus there´s great compassion in the Guru for the delusion of the ordinary human mind and even the greater wish to help us deluded people to go beyond our limitation. This greatness I simply cannot understand – please Sri Gurudeva make us see thy greatness.

    Dearest Sri Swamiji
    Jaya Guru Datta

We all are ordinary beings, narrow-minded,
living in our home-made close-meshed cocoons,
    wearing blinkers and believing there is only what we perceive as little chaps;
day by day we turn round in the same circle….

With You, Sri Swamiji a totally new dimension comes into our lifes!
You help us to wake up and to get out of our hamsterwheels,
You assist us to open bolted doors and windows,
You reinforce us to break through the hindering cocoon-walls,
so that step by step we learn to transform from inchworms and larvas into butterflies!

How could all this be done by an ordinary person? Impossible, no chance!
We all are in urgent need of a much higher and wise Being like You!
To be accepted as Your child and disciple had such a vital impact on my life!

Please let me always be grateful, let me praise You, let me become more and more Your tool!

    Om Namah Shivaya
    Yours Kambhoji

Only the blessed among us can realize that Sawmiji is god incarnate. As HE moves about earth,in public places among all classes of men, very few can sense that power and divinity that is our Sadgurudeva. Very compassionately he lifts our ignorance with a glance, a word, a touch or even a dream. When HE accepts us, we are bound to fall in love with HIM. To those that are doubtful HE has given us the book Datta Dharshan now also available on ,iBook , devotee experiences, these MSGs and a host of music, bhajans, videoes. All we have to do is surrender the mind, have a desire to know HIM and HE does the rest! Then we can experience divinity! Om namo Hanumate namaha. Jaya Guru Datta.

Appaji’s every day’s MMS has got a great inner value. Puttuji you have also given a explanation for this MMS. The photography and the music are very apt to the MSG. Now if you take a teacher, His / Her responsibility is to build up the carrier of a student step by step till his education is completed according to his wish. Similarly a Guru is also required for the growth of our spiritual path. Especially in this Kaliyuga  with out follow a spiritual path our life will be with out any aim. Here I recollect Appaji’s MMS 134 wherein He says spiritual practice with out initiation  from a Guru is like an arrow with out any aim. Here the importance of the roll of Sadguru is clearly seen. At the same time like a teacher, we should develop our spiritual path through aSadguru from our earlier part of our life itself. In such circumstances Appaji is reminding us  here  that a Guru is not an ordijnary human being. Further the importance of a Sadguru  is already given by Appaji through His some of the MMS like33,59,72,84,92.114 and 128 also. Our koti Pranams to Appaji for timely  reminding us here the importance of  a Sadguru in this Kaliyuga  and  we follow your words  and teachings to develop the spiritual path till our life.    JGD.

I thought always, that we shouldn’t think of the guru, that He is a human being. Otherwise it is very difficult to think in an other form, because we can not realy realise, what could be, how to think of Him in another form. For me it is very good to think that there is someone who is like a father for me. Like this I feel much safety. But I also know at the same time, that Swamiji is not realy a human being.

when I first heard of sri swamiji as an avatar I knew what this meant although I hadn’t heard this word ever before and had no idea what that could be. by His boundless grace I have never seen Him as an human being but as the greatest wonder of all wonders – the Divine in a human body. but how to behave towards the guru, how to treat our beloved sadguru I still do not know. I love to see His close indian devotees treat Him with utmost devotion and presence, so softly, so tenderly, sp purely reflecting His love. please teach me, please transform me to become what You want me to be.

A yellow rose can only be a rosé not sunflower as it’s identity can’t be changed just because of similar colour. Similarly, God takes a human form, He’s still Devine, He can’t be a normal human. Human thinks with duality, so according to his intellect other person is judged. A teacher can assess his students due to his knowledge, but student will not have the competence to assess completely about his teacher. So few may admire his teacher and few may not because they could not understand properly. Similarly, God can only be God, there is no simile for it. He can never be a normal human just because of the form. It’s only our duality that we see only the physical form and forget the aura and positive energy within which is always being used for uplifting all living beings, like Jesus had been on earth for helping all with form and still helping all of us. Let our prayers be to remember His blessings on us and experience His omnipresence.

What was taught in pre-school with vivid examples comes in handy now to distinguish between all other human beings and Sadgurudeva, who alone stands out from all the rest. He alone is the Avadhoota Swami, with all the eight siddhis, spiritual accomplishments. He alone is the master of the five elements. He alone in this entire world is totally free from Ego. He alone has the super-consciousness to know the past, present and the future of everything that exists. The lesson from childhood is a little poem that most Telugu children those days were made to memorize. It says, ‘Salt and camphor look alike. But when you closely observe, you will find that they are totally different substances. Among men, holy men stand apart. O Vemana! Know this to be true.” ‘Uppu kappurambunGkka polikanundu. Chooda jooda ruchula jaada veru. Purushulandu punyapurushulu veraya, Viswadabhirama vinura Vema’. Jaya Guru Datta

Such a vivid MMS…Appaji is Brahma – knowledge personified… Appaji is Saraswati, the divine loving mother imparting that knowledge to us.. Let us be good students, and good children..
Every action of Appaji is a sankalpa for some good… He is Dattatreya,..we cannot comprehend Him with our mortal eyes…we need to develop and light up our inner eyes to start understanding Him.

It is sinful to think of a Guru as an ordinary human being ~ 11 Nov 2012

Sadguru is considered to be Lord Shiva Himself in the Guru Gita. He is considered to be the Supreme Lord who can remove ignorance and lead us to light. Such a Sadguru must not be considered as an ordinary human being. He alone has the power to lead us to self-realization, He alone helps and stands by us during our adverse circumstances, He alone can give us the experience of bliss, He is the one who blesses us with devotion, spiritual insight. He is aware of our past, present and future. He knows whats best for us and directs us to do that for us to get rid of our Karma that we would have accumulated over births. But all this requires us to place immense and explicit faith in Him! Appaji has been teaching us these lessons through the MMS, one step at a time. First, respect Guru, do not wander – stick to one Guru, place complete faith in Him, believe that He knows what is best for you and now Appaji warns us to not commit the mistake of thinking of our Sadguru as an ordinary mortal. Appaji, with each message, You are elevating us! Saraswati Swaroopa Sri Swamiji ki Jai! Jaya Guru Datta
