  1. On a hot summer day, one sees a layer of water in a desert, or on a hot road. Actually it isn’t water.. only a mirage {marici, illusion}. Oh Sun God! Please enable us to see through such illusion, your rays create. Om Marichaye Namah!

    Good Sunday reflection!

We’ve our own perceptions of our strengths & opportunities we choose to pursue. Are our perceptions illusory? Are we biting off more than we can chew?

    Pranams Gurudeva!

As overambitious individuals we spoil our happiness by overestimating our strengths &/or by underestimating our challenges, because our eyes can only see so much

As overambitious communities, we erase all that lush greenery in the name of progress, because we can’t see the damage we’re inflicting upon humanity at large

Oh Surya! With your blessings we’ll see through such illusion, in the New Year ahead. We’ll find a sense of realism & balance in our lives & use our entire energy in happily serving your mission

    Jaya Guru Datta. Your Puttuji

Millions of humble prostrations to the lotus feet of Our Suryanarayana
    Sadgurudeva _/|\_ !!

Over ambition leads to grief. We must be contented. Then only we can live healthily and happily. We must not invite problems by asking always for something more. We must give up over ambition and should experience the result of our deeds. We then get purified and progress further spiritually due to Sadgurudeva’s grace.

Thank you for the radiant MMS giving the main essence of “DATTA TATVAM ” !!
We will follow you happily and serve your mission Appaji .

Sri Guru Datta !! Om Namo Hanumathe Namaha !!

    Jaya Guru Datta Puttuji,
We, as humans can never have enough, we are always desiring more and reaching for greater material heights. This message reminds us that contentment and peace lies in acceptance of one’s state in life.Constant desire leads to constant disappointment. We are grateful for this simple formula of living.
    Sri Guru Datta.

Thank You Appaji for the reminder. అత్యాశ అనర్థ దాయకం – this is again an essence of multiple MMS we have seen in recent times – that we have to be contented, we have to appreciate what we have and only then we can be happy. Jaya Guru Datta

    Jaya Guru Datta

Knowing when to accept life as it is and when to strive for more, is a very invaluable, and difficult skill developing out of our growing intuition and connection with Sadguru in our heart.

Jaya Guru Datta! This weekend, I said goodbye to a man who I have known for 44 years who was like a father to me. He intentionally lead a simple life, giving up ambition for time with his family. We honored him for his kindness, his patience, his tolerance of those different, his great sense of humor and his ability to love. Never did we consider his career because his life was all about loving us, not getting ahead…One could see the thoughtful expressions on the faces of other men at the funeral as we talked about his life….Jaya Guru Datta for this message today and for this reminder of what is most important in the end…whether we loved, not whether we got ahead…Sri Guru Datta!

I always want too much and like this I can’t take things easy. Through that I am often not very happy. O my dear Swamiji, here I often don’t understand really. I would like to change and be happy. Perhaps one day I learn it.

  3. Jaya Guru Datta. Even in spiritual matters one can be overly ambitious. Let me learn patience and gratitude. I am so blessed to have Lord Shiva Himself as my Satguru. I love Mother Swamiji. Sri Guru Datta.

    Jaya Guru Datta,
by being overambitious I guess we loose contact with our Self. We probably also get hard towards ourself and sometimes others. We need to be balanced in all actions. This way we can grow and stay in peace. Thank you Puttuji for showing us the right path.
Humble Pranams to your Lotus feet.

Thank You for such a wonderful message just in right time before the new year. Very often it is necessary to look to our motivation if we want to do something. Is it just to please our ego? Than of course it is not proper. We should find out if the motivation in harmony with Sri Swamiji.
So for the next year my intention is to analyze my motivations and to find out if they are in accordance with Sri Swamiji.

Today Appaji has given a very good lesson to us through this MMS. Yes over ambition is very dangerous in building up of our life. In this kaliyuga most of the people are interested in worldly pleasures and due to that they will be involved in unwanted desires in various ways. In otherwords they will show over ambition in every thing. Here again our mind is the main problem for this. Therefore if we are able to control our mind, naturally we can avoid the unwanted desires and there by will not have any over ambition in anything. In otherwords we will be satisfied with what ever we are having and we will do anything with in our capacity only. That is what Appaji is always saying. What ever the God has given to us in any manner, we should be happy with that. We should not compare one person with another. But to follow like that, we have to develop our spiritual path for which we need the help of our Sadguru. Therefore Appaji, we are so fortunate to get You as our Sadguru and follow in every aspect Your words and teachings so that we will keep always a balance of mind and be happy with what ever we are having and do seva to your mission also in the best possible manner. JGD.

    Jai Guru Datta,
I´m not a very self confident person. So what came out of it? Overambition. I wanted to get rid of the stain, of the feeling of being “not enough” and I strained myself in order to satisfy my ambitions. That was a mistake and I carry the hard consequenses of this. Now, slowly but surely I start to let go of these ambitions and maybe for the first time I start to realize the fear, the imbalance, the negative emptiness behind being overambitious. It´s time to look inside and see what´s actually there. And thus I find it very true what Sri Swamiji tells us here: it´s easier to relaxe and be easy with life and appriciate live and what I have, when I let go of this hypnosis of “having to reach a certain something”. Thank you so much, Sri Swamiji.
    Sri Guru Datta.

Excess of anything is not good. Over ambition drains out all positive energy in us, amazing instructions to be followed by all. May lord bless us all to be happy.

    JGD Appaji
Let our minds be just right like the perfect shining sun to maintain the greenery in our lives. If the mind becomes over ambitious it will try to achieve too much and make our lives dry like the desert. With Appaji’s presence we know everything in life has been His gift and whatever happens will be His gift too.. we just need to follow Him and accept all the gifts happily.
