    Evam gurupadam sreshtam devanamapi durlabham
haha huhu ganaiscaiva gandharvairapi pujitam !!

Millions of Humble prostrations to the lotus feet of Our Vishnu Sadgurudeva !!

  1. Vishnu incarnated as Kurma (tortoise) in Satya Yuga. When devas & asuras churned the ocean of milk with serpent Vasuki as rope & mount Mandara as churning shaft, Mandara started sinking into ocean bed. Kurma supported Mandara on his back.. until Lord Dhanvantari emerged from ocean, with nectar of immortality. Our Sathguru is Kurma, supporting the churn in our minds, until nectar of self-realization materializes from within. In material world, He supports the churn that leads us from confusion to clarity. He cleanses our sins, washes our guilt, quenches our thirst for gnana, nourishes our resolve.. Like how water cleans, washes, quenches, nourishes, drenches. Imagine life without water.. without Sathguru. Both are indispensable. We aren’t sure of water, but sure of Sathguru.. for, He takes charge of next 7 generations of His devotees. He’s Venkatesa, on a mission to preserve humanity in Kaliyuga & beyond. Dear Indispensable Gurudeva, Keep us drenched in your grace, always.

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji, what a beautiful reminder of the necessity of Guru this morning! How little we know about the power of Sadgurus and how they are working to protect us! Quietly, without recognition, being present to heal, prevent, promote, support, create, establish;;;every possible action that will help maintain dharma and prevent our ignorance from destroying us and our world…

The humanity needs something which gives orientation. It is like by little children: they need the parents which say at them what is good and what is bad. When parents don’t make this, the children have no orientation and are not able to live in a society. The humanity must live in a manner, which allows also the generation later to ive on this planet a good life. But how they must live, that it fonktion? Guru is telling it and also helping, that mankind understand.

We can’t even imagine how directionless this life would have been without the eternal presence of Sadguru. Sadguru is indispensable for a meaningful journey on this planet. We are all very blessed to be with You, Appaji. Our prayers,… please chisel us, cleanse us, reform us and make us just the way we are supposed to be, Appaji. Pranams to Your Lotus Feet. 2. JGD. Its a Divine Truth, as Great Civilizations ONLY flourished near Water Sources realizing it to be Vital and indispensable for a Sadaka Sadguru is the Only Source of Divine nectar to flourish in the Spiritual & Material World.

  3. Jgd .. Very nice simile between the life sustaining water and the life giving Sadguru .. Water quenches our thirst on drinking it , but Sadguru’s darshan increases our thirst for spiritual betterment .. Every time we have Sri swamiji’s darshan , it’s a new experience , new aspects to learn .. It is this learning and the excitement of meeting Sadguru the next time that adds meaning to life .. Pranams at Sri swamiji’s lotus feet.. Jgd

My Datta Sadguru, Sri Swamiji is the Endless Well containing the sweetest water. Adiguru always provides the purest nectar. Many come to the well and carry this water with tainted buckets. This impurity is avoided when drinking only the water He provides so lovingly. Droughts are avoided when we sing His bhajans and prayers. Thank you Appaji. Jaya Guru Datta

Earlier, elders at home served as gurus, teaching the younger ones the principles of dharma and how to follow them. They monitored their actions and behavior and gave guidance in times of crisis. Care and concern, law and order were maintained. Now with elders being relegated to living their solitary lives, rejected by the younger ones for their archaic values, Sadguru has had to step in, to take on the roles of teacher, monitor, parent, elder, friend and judge to children of all ages. Sadguru has become as indispensable in modern society as life-giving drinking water.
Just as we cannot live without water, in spite of all the stores being stocked with all kinds of liquors and soft drinks, not to mention coffee, tea and other beverages, we also cannot live without Sadguru, in spite of having google, Wikipedia, innumerable books online and offline, and social networking systems like Facebook and Twitter.
Why? When we are faced with a real dilemma in life, or a crisis that we are not strong enough to cope with, or find ourselves in a situation that is unacceptable and yet inescapable, it is only the Sadguru who can provide us the right answer and show us the right direction. No other system in society has the capability to come to our aid. There is not a soul on earth that does not face crisis situations, be they mental, emotional, spiritual, financial, or physical. What a doctor is to a patient, the Sadguru is, to the man in trouble. He is the life-giving water to a man parched with the thirst for values and a purpose in life. Not only in moments of crisis, but Sadguru, like water, nourishes us throughout our lives, with daily doses of nutrients in the form of moral lessons, health tips, and spiritual strength and guidance. We have no chance of survival Appaji, without you.
    Sri Guru Datta

    • Hira Duvvuri on September 13, 2012 at 12:51 pm

    Jaya Guru Datta. Dearest Puttuji,
Water came into existence before man, whose embryo forms and grows in water till it is born. Water is crucial for the survival of man. Medicine came into existence before disease was born. It is up to man to discover its presence in time. Guru came into existence before ignorance enveloped man. Guru is crucial for man to retain his humanity. Without Sadguru, man degenerates into a beast. Brahma, the Creator is all-knowing. I think that is why He created the egg, the Brahma Anda, the great egg, before he created the chicken. The moment man with mind was created, desire began. When woman came into the picture, desire went out of control and became lust. Anytime there are two human beings, there is jealousy, arrogance, power struggle, tendency for laziness, gluttony, anger, greed, fear, and obsession without discretion. The formula is perfect for man to get reverted to his animal nature. To prevent this from happening, to pull the reins on man’s degeneration, Sadguru was created by Brahma as the Dattatreya principle. Wherever there is creation, sustenance and destruction, Sadguru Datta is present. When the time is right, he steps into a man’s life, the way Appaji does, reforms him and ensures that humanity does not become extinct.

JGD. Existence without Sadguru is indeed unimaginable! Attached as I am to His physical form, I admit to being saddened when He has to leave tiny Trinidad, even though I know He is always with us. Jai Guru Datta Sri Rama Appaji !!

Sadgurudeva is always looking out for us. Even in our displeasure Sadgurudeva is working his magic to take us towards salvantation. As Puttuji says, Puyja Gurudeva watches out for our 7 generations. We can live without water but without Gurudeva we are like fish out of water. I cannot imagine to what depths of the worldly ocean I would have drowned to without Gurudeva !!

Gurudeva pervades all cosmic and material elements. Having surrendered to HIS LOTUS FEET, I recall the following verse from Guru Gita:

Eva eva paro banduh Vishame Samupasthite
Nisprhah Karuna Sindhuh Tasmai Sri Guruve Namah

Om Kurmaya Namaha !! Om Sri Datta Venkatesaya Namaha !!

Sadguru is indispensable to humanity ~ 13 sep 2012

Namaste Puttuji. Good video with Om Kurmaya Namah mantra in the beginning and Om Venkatesaya Namah at the end and in between our beloved Sadguru Appaji indicating that from Kruta yuga ( Kurmavataram) till Kaliyuga ( Lord Venkateswara Avataram ), world always needed a Sadguru, who is indispensable like water in all yuga’s. Epics tell us many stories when a person at a suitable time had Gurupadesam from Sage Narada who goes to the person uninvited. Sage valmiki who wrote sacred Ramayana was initiated by Sage Narada. Bhakta prahlada, son of king Hiranyakasipa was initiated when he was in the mother’s womb itself by Sage Narada who infused devotion into prahlada letting him get the name as ‘ Bhakta Prahlada’. And many more such stories. Adiguru Dattatreya, led many devotees towards self realisation. He grants blessings not only for the spiritual enhancement but also for worldly things and making a devotee realise from within that there is something lacking in the material things and letting him aspire more firmly from the depth of the heart for spiritual life. Lord Dattatreya also went to a devotee at a suitable time uninvited and blessed with material or spiritual welfare. That is the nature of Sadguru. Bhakta prahlada attains self realisation, which is beyond devotion with the teachings of Lord Dattatreya. Sadguru, in the form of Sage Narada, initiated Prahlada spiritually and as Lord Dattatreya helped him complete spiritual journey. We are very lucky for being with our Appaji, incarnation of Lord Dattatreya, and roaming all over the world initiating lakhs of devotees like Sage Narada and leading them righteously towards self realisation. Sadgurubhyo Namah. Thanks a lot Puttuji. Namaste.

There is something looks on me. One time more then the other times, but also in the time it is less present he is there. My Satguru I love him and is omnipredent in my feelings. Sometimes his presence is extremely strong. How that is that possible is a question coming from my intellect. My intellect put questions what perhaps is not correct, because you have just top accept. The love can be so strong that you see the intellect from a distance from another intellect. My view on things grows to a broader vision on the material world.

Puttuji is convincing when he says “We aren’t sure of water, but sure of Sathguru.. for, He takes charge of next 7 generations of His devotees” I am the third generation of Late Sri Parthasarathy garu’s family (Silence Parthasarathy as he was fondly called). Sadguru Is Indispensable To Humanity – 13th Sept 2012

Water is the greatest gift from God, to all forms of life. Without water there is no existence. It is the life giving source to all forms of life on this earth. It is one among the Pancha Tattvas (5 elements) in God`s creation. Like how water is the vital element for survival and external cleansing. Similarly, Sadguru is the vital force for internal cleansing and also the vital source to quench our thirst for knowledge and inner peace.
When we go to the sea, river or any waterfalls, we feel so happy and peaceful. Likewise in the presence of Sadguru, we all feel energized and so peaceful internally. We get the confidence and encouragement to face anything in life. Our ancient Vedas have stressed the importance of Sadguru in our spiritual journey. Without Sadguru`s guidance nothing can we achieved. We all are so blessed to be in the divine presence of Pujya Sadgurudeva. All that we have to do is just follow HIS instructions without any doubts. HE knows how to cleanse us, where to guide us and finally make us all precious gems. The background music is so soothing. It simply calms the agitated mind.
I humbly pray to Pujya Sadgurudeva to guide us in our long spiritual journey and help us in becoming pure and clear as water, internally. Jai Gurudeva Datta!

Sadguru is God’s messenger on earth. He is not an ordinary human being like the rest of us. He knows everyone’s past, present and future. He knows how to help people overcome their distress and despondency. He descends to earth in a human form only to lend a hand to ordinary folks, expecting nothing in return. He helps us to get rid of our ignorance and our ego. He shows us the way to happiness that is enduring, not fleeting like the joys of the world. He motivates, inspires, encourages & leads.

Once a Sadguru enters our life, we realize He has known us,been with us through all our lifetimes. Everyone will have accumulated enough punya one day to find a Sadguru. Sadguru is always welcoming new devotees who have been waiting for Him. So everyone has to come to the Sadguru one day. That means, He was there, is there and will always be there for humanity.
Just like the rocks get smoothened by the constant and unending flow of water, Sadguru’s constant flow of divine nectar removes away the layers of accumulated dust and smoothens our souls! Thank you Appaji..let us be just like the snow covered immovable mountains….. firmly rooted and constantly covered with your teachings!
