His chariot has only one wheel. The divine chariot is golden. May lord Sun, with lotus-like arms, be pleased with our humble services to Him.

Well timed MMS for a perfect Sunday morning meditation.. with its lovely visualization. As you see the visuals, read the message and hear Appaji on the keyboards, it makes you close your eyes and drift away into silent bliss. This verse from the Album : Surya Kavacham ( available on flipkart.com ) can be a great energizer. It expresses gratitude, and sets the tone for a week of humble services rendered in a spirit of seva to Him ( the Sun God ). It goes without saying that any action performed in the spirit of such service cannot but win laurels for the performer.

The reference to the one-wheeled chariot reminds us of the ‘kala-cakra’ – ‘wheel of time’ established on the wheel of the sun-god’s chariot. This wheel is known as Samvatsara ( A Year ). The Sun God, in his radiance, makes life possible with his warmth. The ‘kala-chakra’ reminds us of the importance of getting more value out of this limited lifetime we all have on earth.. we give more of ourselves to every moment, so that we get more value out of it.

Our humble pranams at the holy feet of His Holiness for having blessed us with such a radiant MMS, this Sunday. Let’s make the most of this Sunday meditation, and make for ourselves a great week ahead! Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji.

    Jaya Guru Datta.
    Thanks for well times MMS.
Yesterday night before sleeping took resolution to do Surya Namaskara and Pranayama meditation from today.
As it’s Sunday as usual forcibly woke up and refreshed my Vimeo screen and got this beautiful video message.
This video also reminded me Mahabharatha TV serial telecast-ed when in 80’s, where Kala-Cakra’ tells the story.

Jaya Guru Hanuman, What a beautiful way to start our day. The amazing sun rise near the serene lake, blissful smile of Appaji, calming music in the background and the chanting of Surya Kavacham. Surya Kavacham is one of the pearls from Kavacha Manjari cd which has the kavachas of Ganapati, Naryana, Surya, Devi, Datta, Shiva and hanuman chalisa. Kavacha Manjari is from personal collection of Sri Swamiji. Sri Swamiji has been gracious enough to release these in the form of cd for the welfare of devotees.

Due to Appaji’s grace our family had a personal experience using the Kavacha Manjari cd. My son who was 2 years old was a very active boy. One day he suddenly started running high fever and became very weak. Instead of brushing this as normal fever something made us take him to the doctor. THe doctor did some tests and said that our son has swine flu. We were really worried and almost broken totally as he was very small. The doctor gave us medications and told us to start using it right away. After we reached home I somehow remembered about Kavacha Manjari cd. Just couple of days before we were bidding farewell to Madhavi Attaluri’s father who is leaving to India from US and the topic about Kavacha Manjari somehow came up. He mentioned how Sri Swamiji loves this collection and the power and efficacy of the Kavachas. I remebered the conversation and immediately got the cd and played it near my son continously. We also started him on the medication. By next day our son is up and playing in the normal way he used to play. We were so happy to see him like that. The doctor said that patients suffer atleast 3 days with fever, chills, weakness but our son was up on his feet playing within a day. We then realized the power of Kavacha Manjari. Sri Swamiji always says that his music act as a catalyst to expedite the healing process and should not be considered as a subsititute for medication. Our family from then on has been religiously playing Kavacha Manjari regularly.

In the phala stuthi of Kavacha Manjari, Appaji clearly mentions that he will reside in the heart and house of devotees who listen or recite these kavachams . He will bless them and their family with health, wealth and spiritual knowledge. Let us all play Kavacha Manjari and have Sri Swamiji reside in our houses and hearts.

Humble prostrations to Sri Swamiji who is the kavacham for all of us.

    Om namo hanumate namaha

Beautiful landscape with amazing view of sun set with melodious background music. All this combined with Kavacha manjari sloka with its meaning is just so amazing. We are learning about nature, it’s power and importance of prayer. Our beloved Pujya Appaji is teaching us every minute. Many thanks and koti Pranams to our divine father who is personification of love and compassion. Jaya Guru Datta

Sun is so important. Without sun there is no life. I like the sun. When sun is shining and warming us, it feels very good. The sun is here for everybody. It is shining on all, it doesn’t make difference between the things on which it shines. My name Savitri is very closed to Lord sun. Perhaps it is from this that I like Lord Sun very much and feel me bounded with Him. It is also my work to give my light at everybody, without making difference.

To worship Sun God and to respect time, we will simply follow
Sadgurudeva’s divine footsteps and listen Appaji’s Surya Kavacham every morning.
    Will never miss it !!

I find two great similarities between Sun and Sadguru. Both bring light into our life. Very few living things can grow without Sunlight and none can grow up in life without Gnana Jyothi – Sadguru’s light. As the light and warmth of Sun are necessary, so is the love and warmth of Sadguru is necessary for every being. This video gives us a message that both Sun worship and Sadguru worship are necessary to grow up in life.

Planet Sun is considered as God in Indian culture and probably it’s a good culture. Sun is one of the essential components of our life, because Sun is the source of energy for photosynthesis in plants, which are in turn the source of energy to all herbivorous and carnivorous animals including humans. Sun protects us from various diseases and facilitates synthesis of Vitamin D, also know as ‘Sunshine vitamin’, due to its synthesis in body after exposure to Sun and is essential for strong, healthy bones. The schedule of 24 hours of the day is dependent on the Sunrise and Sunset. The temperature variations of heat and cold are dependent on position of Sun in relation to Earth. So all of us shall pray Sun God to bless us with health and wealth with His radiant arms of rays. The song used in this video, has powerful beejaksharas praising mother Goddess.

    JAYA GURU DATTA!
Without our beloved Lord sun, no life would be possible on our planet earth! How thankful we must be! Thank You, dear Lord Surya for Your warmth and Your happy making light! Let the sunshine in, in our hearts, so that we thank You daily! For me, You and my Sadguru are one. S.G.D.!

Jaya Guru Datta Puttuji for this lovely SGS MMS video on sun god and detailed explanation about it.

Everyday we start our duties at sun rise, perform our mundane works and after sunset go back to bed. Everyday sun raises from east to west without fail and gives energy to the entire world as it moves. Very well explained in the MMS video the importance of Sun. It is our duty to offer our everyday prayers to the sun god whom we can see everyday.

    Sri Guru Datta

  2. JGD. I am lost in wonder as to how I can serve that mighty one who has witnessed every action of mine since the beginning of my existence. I can only pray that HE blesses me and gives me opportunities to serve my Sadguru whose brilliance outshines all. Om Mitraya Namah.

    • dariashakti on August 5, 2012 at 3:01 pm

Swamiji, The sun is so alive, so conscious and so active in our personal worlds when we pray to Him. I am so grateful that you taught me how to love the sun as a physical representation of the divine life giving force in our world and to understand that His rays have various powers and potentials. I am so grateful, too, that you protected us from the harmful rays of the sun with the Shata Shloki Ramayana yagna that healed our ozone. Your wisdom always astounds me….May we all remember the sacred role that the sun and the moon and all the planets play in our lives and the events of our lives and use our time to live more in harmony with their cycles… Jaya Guru Datta!

    • Hema on August 5, 2012 at 3:45 pm

Without the sun there can be no life. Without the guru we are spiritually dead. When Appaji smiles it is as if the sun himself is smiling on us. I bow to Surya. I bow at the lotus feet of my Sadguru. Om namo Hanumate namaha!

    Jaya Guru Datta!
How many wonderful moments do we connect with the sun. The beautiful sky, sun rays in the early morning, the rainbows, the heat in the summer.
How many wonderful moments do we connect with our Sadgurudeva Sri Sri Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji. Indeed, Guru is like the sun for us (compare also MMS 35).

Jaya Guru Datta! Thank You for this beautiful MMS, Puttuji! It feels like a blessing from Surya Deva through our Datta Sadguru. Lord Sun is so central to our lives – the food we eat, the water we drink, the beautiful sights we see, the warmth we enjoy are all possible only due to Lord Sun. Based on Your commentary, since kala-chakra, the wheel of time, is established on Sun God’s chariot, we owe this life as well as birth and death to the Sun God whose movement determines Time.

The Kavacha Manjari sounds so powerful, in Appaji’s voice. Even if we didn’t know the meaning of the prayers, they sound divine and powerful enough to protect this entire world. Surya Kavacham sounds so wonderful that it can evoke devotion towards Sun God even in the heart of a non-believer. The visuals and music in this MMS are beautiful – our pranams to Sun God who gives and sustains life!

Obeisances to the Holy Lotus Feet of our Sadguru Deva!

  3. Jai Guru Datta Swamiji! Thank You for this beautiful message. This Sunday was auspicious as it
began with Your darshan on Yoga Sangeeta! I could feel Your blessings as the “warm rays of the
Sun” all day long! Om Mitraya Namah!

    Sun God ~ 5 Aug 2012

Namaste Puttuji, thank you for the nice video. Here are my prostrations to Sun God with one wheeled  golden chariot. Sun God gives light even to people who do not recognize Him just like Sadguru, who blesses people who do not even trust Him. Heart fully thank Sri Swamiji for establishing spiritual kingdom, blessing and leading devotees towards righteousness.

Our life depends on the Sun for everything. Whether heat, rain, light, our Guru. He is the beautiful reflection of Surya leading us onwards and upwards to the celestial regions. Nobody loves us more.
