  1. Advaita (non-duality) made easy
When we see the waterfall, we don’t see the water.. we just see a huge body of froth & mist coming down in all splendour. Is the waterfall different from the river? Is the river different from the ocean?
Yes. If you see them as mere forms
No. If you see their content. Water is in the snow, the river & also in the plant & flowers. It is a matter of what you see & identify with
So too, the inner self & the universal self are one & the same.. it’s the same life principle that shines through both.
Consider this – You’re not one living organism. You’re many trillion live organisms – cells – that vibrate together. And, you’re one of the trillion organisms that vibrate to make this larger entity called the Universe. Yes? Now, what is the difference between your inner self & the universal self? Nothing. Easy?
    Thanks a ton, Sathguru,
We appreciate your teaching of Advaita. We practice it.
    Jaya Guru Datta. Your Puttuji

Humble prostrations at the lotus feet of Our Dattaswaropa Sathgurudeva _/\_!!

Jaya Guru Datta! We wake up every morning to our beloved Guru speaking to us the most profound truths of our existence. What greater truth is there for us to learn than what has been said here in 12 words–a simple straight forward statement that holds the answer to the question of all great mystics “who am I?” These words reach our eyes and our ears, even our feeble minds try to wrap our thoughts around this magnificent truth, but do we really grasp it? Only with your grace Swamiji can we really truly understand beyond the intellectual level the actuality of this reality. I am humbled by your willingness to even say this to us when we are able to read it without full understanding. Please forgive us our ignorance. Most of us will read this today and go about our business completely unchanged by this message. How to avoid that? How to make this moment, the moment of true understanding? Only with your grace….Only with your grace….Sri Guru Datta!

To me, Sadgurudeva Sri Swamiji is Paramatma, the Universal Self. Gurussaakshaat Parambrahma, the Guru Gita declares. Where is He? He is inside me always, whether my mind is actively thinking of Him, or not. When the mind dwell upon Him, He is seen by the inner eye. When the mind is occupied with interaction with worldly things, either in thought, or in action, He is seeing all those actions and thoughts as the inner witness. The formless has taken a form for our benefit. The silent One speaks for our benefit. The action-less One performs many actions for our benefit, so that we recognize Him, accept Him, love Him, and merge into Him consciously, although we are indeed forever merged in Him, and are ever inseparable from Him. Through HIs physical form he lets us know that He knows everything about each of us, before we were born, now, and through our entire future through eternity. How lucky we all are! All our thoughts, words, and deeds are His, in HIs illusory non-existent Maya world.

Jaya Guru Datta Appaji – how well portrayed the tattva that is depicted in Appaji’s bhajan.
‘devee viradrupavainatti neeku’ – great bhajan and that ultimately talks about the self being one with Amma – Thanks a lot Appaji.

It is an interesting message. For me I am curious from the point of the sentences what I will see, hear, etc. Swami Ji shows the way. Through him I get the feeling in which direction it will go.

Puttuji, you have given a nice explanation for today’s MMS. According to me inner self means, it is in otherwords self realization That is develop your self to identify any object in which the content will be the same and but it will be having various forms. When we see the photography , we can realize this fact. In Mother’s creation in the nature the water, plants , flowers and fruits are having different forms, quality, smell , and taste. Here one thing we should understand that even though , they are having different characters , the object remains the same. This concept when we take individualy it is self realization and in otherwords our inner self. Similarly when we think about universally about this, it is the same concept. Further we as humanbeing in our body, there are different organs and cells. At the same time in the creation of God it is same for everybody universally . Similarly in the case of spiritual path according to me, ourAppaji’s method of teachings are the same only even though the devotees are from different country, speaking different language etc. In otherwords it is an universal practice . Thank You Appaji to have such a nice MMS. JGD.

Sadgurudeva , San Jose, CA, USA, July 13,2003:

“Guru is like Atman. He is in you. He is in your inner self.”

    Shatashloki Ramayana :
Sathgurudeva has chanted and gifted us the Shatashloki Ramayana (108 most important verses) of the Ramayanam, so that we can meditate daily and think deeply on the meaning of the story. In the process of meditation, one comes across various questions regarding what one sees, hears, intuits, or discovers within one’s self, and these have a direct relationship to various parts of the story of the Ramayana, and for one who has developed their intuition through the practice of samyama (a manner of meditation), these relationships become crystal clear, and act as aids in one’s personal sadhana ..(Courtesy : Jai Jai Kapisa)

  4. JGD & SGD, HH Sri Appaji vari pada padmamulaku Sashtanga Pranamamu. Satguru is the only one who can make disciple realize that what is “in” only is “out” also or that the same thing is inside and out side too. All elements and components of the Universe are there in human body. Life is an expression of God and Life is synonymous to God.

Jaya Guru Datta! It is truly a mystery why I don’t realize this truth. It seems so easy and yet is difficult. Pure maya which is really strong. Thank you Appaji for waking us up again and again. Sri Guru Datta

    • Archana Penukonda on April 4, 2013 at 2:36 am

Jaya Guru Datta! This is a life-changing truth. We are not just one big family, children of God, but one universal consciousness, manifested in different body suits. Perhaps it is due to this principle that great saints can tune into the universal self to read minds, see what’s happening in far away places and feel unending love for all beings. However, I also have a new appreciation for the power of illusion. It gives us reasons to love the people that gave birth to this body and love the friends are family this body identifies with, but not the billions of other beings that walk this planet. In reality, we are all the same, yet, we see more differences than similarities. Hats off to the power of illusion! Reality is right in front of our eyes and everywhere in and around us, but illusion and ego blind us to it. Pranams to our Sathguru, who we are so blessed to have! I hope I can make myself a devotee worthy of receiving more lessons like this throughout the journey of this soul.

Clay exists. Different types of clay utensils exist. But the basic material in all is clay.
Sugar exists. Various sweets exist. Basic ingredient in all is sugar.
Similarly Creator exists. Creation exists. Creator exists in all creation.
How wonderful it is that Appaji is there is us and everywhere around us. Let us revel in that Blissful feeling.. and practice to see and realize Him everywhere.
