Are the clouds different from the ocean? Far far away from each other and different in form, are they really different?

We know vapour that rises from the ocean is the cloud. And we know, a saturated cloud pours into the ocean. And we know the cycle repeats. Clouds don’t suffer that cycle of evaporation & condensation. Man does, because he sees himself as different from the ocean. In that sense of ‘I’dentification, resides the root of all misery.

    Pranams Sathguru!

You’re Janardhana, who destroys janma (birth) brought about by avidya (ignorance) & bestows on your disciple the awareness of his identity with the Lord. To this effect, you have taught & demonstrated the methods of contemplation (seated in meditation on that flower), and selfless action (as Hanuman seated on that Camel). We will practice them, towards our liberation. Jaya Guru Datta. Your Puttuji.

It is a wonderful and immense gift, that Swamiji is my Guru. I don’t know, if I can see, how big the grace is. I only know: Swamiji is all for me and only with His help I can find the right steps. Like this I hear very good what Swamiji is saying to me and I try to make all very good.

What a beautiful video! Each one of the elements has its own natural cycle and our bodies, too, cycle with the elements. But we are not our bodies…we are something beyond these natural elemental cycles. How fortunate we are to have a Guru who teaches us to respect and see the beauty of these natural rhythms and patternsthat govern our physical world, but who also has the love and knowledge to help us see that we are more than that…Jaya Guru Datta!

We are amazingly lucky, priviledged and blessed for having been chosen by YOU, dear SADGURU, to lead us to The Highest Goal! YOU are guiding and purifying us, showering so much Grace on us. Our way is often hard, but YOU give us the strength to go through all the necessary difficulties and sufferings. Our way is also very long, but YOU tell us that patience is the greatest penance. I pray for having enough strength and enough patience on my journey to The Highest Goal. In deep Gratitude. JGD

Jai Guru Datta Appaji! We don’t have to look any further than your bhajans/teachings to understand the root-cause and the solution to the Birth-Death cycle.

    Root Cause:
In the bhajan: ‘Janmaniki Moolamu Korikalandi’, you have explained that the root-cause of Janma (birth) is Desires in the Mind (MMS 148)… and Desires lead to Sorrow, despondency & Anger – throwing us into the Vicious cycle of Birth&Death – due to Action/Reaction principle(Karma).

    Solution:
… and as we struggle to control our minds/desires, out of Pure Compassion, you grace us the Solution in the bhajan: Jyothi Veligindhi, where you clearly outline for us that Following the footsteps of Guru and following His teachings (MMS 153) are the only way to overcome this vicious cycle.

Humble prostrations to your Lotus feet. Forever indebted. Sri Guru Datta!

JGD. Guru’s Grace for me has been an utmost fascinating thing. It seems spontaneous and pre-planned at the same time. It is the source, it is the sustenance and in this MMS, the salvation. It is “deus in machina” in this leela. We can offer and offer a trillion times but Guru’s acceptance of us totally Guru’s Grace. It is everything. Amazing Grace indeed! JGD.

    Jaya Guru Datta

    Great MMS message.
It is only in human form one can attain moksha (end of brith and death). We are lucky to be born in this time period when Pujya Sri Swamiji has taken birth in human form to uplift us from the whirlpool of this samsara.
    Follow the master
    Faith in God
    Face the Devil(Karma)
    Finish the Game (life)

Thank you Appaji for this excellent MMS message.

Jaya Guru Datta! I love this line from the Guru Gita: “Moksha moolam Guroh Kripa”, that liberation (from the cycle of births and deaths) is achieved by Guru’s grace. Great news for us, because we have Adi Guru Lord Datta walking in a physical body amongst us. Reflecting on this message, how do we achieve Guru’s grace? The verse from Guru Gita says “dhyana moolam guror murtihi, puja moolam guroh padam, mantra moolam guror vaakyam, moksha moolam guroh kripa”. So, if we meditate on the Guru’s form, if we worship the Guru’s feet, if we take as gospel or as mantra, the Guru’s words/discourses/teachings, we may be able to achieve liberation. The goal of human life is liberation declare the scriptures. And here’s Lord Datta giving us lessons, in so many ways, through bhajans concerts, discourses, pravachanas, stories, MMS, interviews, through His life, through books, through His pictures, His emails, His facebook updates etc. Our Sathguru is finding many ways to bless us and shower His grace on us so we may work to achieve liberation. Obeisances to the Holy Lotus feet of the Sathguru who is the charioteer like Lord Krishna in the Bhagavadgita, driving all of us Arjunas towards liberation.

  3. Dear Appaji, still i am so greatful that I took this birth during thy Janma!

I feel your grace, everyday, everywhere through your Bhajans, through these Nandana MMS messages, through your healing and meditation music. Appaji’s today’s MMS has got a very deep inner meaning. Here we can realise the value and importance of Sadguru through whom we have to develop our spiritual path. In other words if we follow His words and teachings strictly, we can put a full stop for the cycle of birth and death. Puttuji you have given a beautiful example about Sea and Cloud. In nature it is a cycling process. But when it comes to our reality, we should always pray to Sadguru who is in the form of God to get liberation to us. At the sametime it is not so easy to get liberation, unless we develop our spiritual path. Here one thing, we have to remember is that how a teacher is taking effort to build up the carrier of a student, similarly The Sadguru will take all efforts to improve our spiritual path through His words and teachings, provided we should also from our side follow Him strictly with out a wavering mind. This is because our mind is responsible for everything which Appaji has already indicated through His various MMS. But in this kaiyuga so many people are attracted in worldly pleasures and think about the spiritual path only in the latter part of their age. By the time it will be too late and we cannot attain such liberation. Therefore Appaji is reminding us here to develop our spiritual path also side by side from our earlier part of our life. Then only we will get His Grace to finish the cycle of birth and death. Here I also remember the slokas in GuruGeetha128, 140 and141 especially in sloka 140 and141 the importance of our Sadguru is clearly given. Basing on these facts, if we follow our Sadguru definitely we will get liberation in our life. To my experience , Appaji has told in my Father’s case that He will not have further birth. The photography is very apt to the MSG and the music is giving a soothing effect. JGD.

having been unfamiliar with the guru-concept it took me quite a long time to understand the meaning and significance of guru. sri swamiji had to repeat to often that the guru is not here to solve our unimportant problems but to lead us to the highest goal of existence. I feel so fortunate and grateful to be in the association with our beloved Divine sadguru. this mms touches me profoundly and I feel Your grace virtually tangible. May I be(come) able to serve You more and more better and better.

what a great view would it be …

    • Hira Duvvuri on December 13, 2012 at 1:55 pm

Birth and Death, Light and Darkness, Wisdom and Ignorance, Ocean and Cloud, Earth and Sky – all stem from the same source and closely co-exist, I am told. Sadgurudeva will take me where no dualities exist, where He and I become one, I am told. I have no recollection of Death or Birth. I wonder and claim, “Are not birth and death simply concepts in my mind? I do not remember dying before or being born again. It is only hearsay as far as I am concerned.” I trust my Guru’s words that they happen and that their recurrence will end by His grace. All I am aware of is this present moment. All I know is that I love Swamiji and that He will take care of me. Jaya Guru Datta
