Showing 6 fingers, His Holiness reminds us about 6 common behaviours of angry people: 1) Bottle it & blast later. 2) Bottle it & keep it inside. 3) Explode immediately.. a short fuse. 4) Be cold. Be silent. 5) Keep nagging. 6) Misdirect your anger. Take it out on someone or something else.
Whichever way, anger first hurts us, then hurts those we are angry with, and takes away the affection in between.
Does anyone use anger as a tool to transform us, out of compassion (karuna) for us?
Yes. Our Mother (Talli) does. When angry with our behaviour, she forgives us. How can she not, when we’re part of her being? So should we, for the very same reason.
Pranams Matruswaroopa Sathgurudeva!
Like a swan (hamsa) separates milk & water from a mixture of the two, you want us to deal with the person & his behaviour separately.. forgiving the person, when angry with his behaviour. You’ve affectionately shown us the way. We follow you.
Jaya Guru Datta. Your Puttuji
Humble prostrations at the lotus feet of Our Matruswaroopa Sathgurudeva_/\_!!
Jaya Guru Datta! One can forgive, but learning to trust again is hard. Help us please learn to re-establish proper connections with those who have hurt us. Sometimes it is just the nature of the scorpion to sting, help us learn to forgive that bite, but to relate to,the scorpion in a way that is loving but still prevents future bites! Sri Guru Datta!
JGD Appaji
When I am angry, even if it does not last long, the damage it creates sometimes cannot be repaired. Words said in anger even if we do not mean them, leave a lasting impression on the receiver. That 5 minutes of control is worth a lifetime of regrets. At the same time, if someone vents his/her anger on us, we need to remind ourselves they are just blowing of steam because they are close to us, and practice to forget that episode. All this is only possible by following Appaji, who patiently keeps forgiving us no matter what we do. Any transformation in me in the past or in future is possible only because of Him..
Having experienced intense and violent anger during a phase of my life, I know how it feels, how it eats one up from the inside out. What I realized during that phase is that anger’s nature is to BOOMERANG. It never hit the target that I aimed it at. All those people did fine and were totally unaffected by my anger. It was I and I alone that suffered immeasurably. Until that phase, I never could tolerate viewing violent scenes and avoided all such movies and shows. But during that unfortunate phase I reveled in them. Then Sadgurudeva stepped into my life. He showed the falseness of my thought process. He showed how always, I and my own wrong thoughts and actions are my enemies and not one single soul that exists outside of me. It is the consequence of my own past karma that bombards me in the form of various people and incidents. The more I react and respond with anger, the more negative karma I accumulate. All those people and events are the forms of God trying to neutralize my karma. Jaya Guru Datta

Appaji this is truly a wonderful mms to us all.
Many of us tend to let their anger consume them where it turns into hate, envy and leads to the ego lead their thoughts words and deeds. The words, the look, the vibrations emitted, the fury of this anger can lead to so much destruction…..this can all be prevented by just following how you treat us as we all have made mistakes, stumbled from time to time on the path to goodness. You forgive us no matter what but you also encourage us to learn from each situation. Our friends, our family, people we know have all been subjected to our anger and we have of theirs, but we must all learn to forgive and teach others to forgive us.
Thank you Appaji for this very important lesson, jaya guru datta!
Jai Guru Datta
Dear Swami AVADHOOTA
So helpful APPAJI, so we have a chance to reduce our evil.
Sri Guru Datta and lots of love
Om Namo Hanumate Namaha
jai guru datta! I hope to wake up from this mind that keeps forgetting all the good lessons that you taught me.
Yes, this is so true. We tend to be more angry on those with whom we are attached to and for whom we have affection. But anger reduces this affection, and best friends can turn enemies.Sadgurudeva has given us the remedy of forgiveness. Everyone in Life(except Sadguru or the perfect Master) makes mistakes.
Normally, we, in our ego state, tend to disregard and not pay attention to our own mistakes. Even if we accept our mistake, we want others to forgive us easily. Whereas, we tend to see the small mistakes of other with a magnifying lens and are not ready to forgive others. Even if we forgive, we feel as if we are doing them a favour!!
Actually, our anger and non-forgiving nature binds us to the person in a very negative way throughout our life. The moment we forgive, we also are free.
This is also true for someone who is angry on us. We should forgive them. Then we are free. Lord Jesus Christ is the epitome of forgiveness, as he forgave those who gave extreme pain and put him on the cross. The Good Friday which just went a few days back reminds us of him.
Thank you Appaji for bringing us this wonderful Truth.
JAYA GURU DATTA,
GURU DEVA,I DO NOT HAVE WORDS TO EXPRESS THE GREATNESS OF THIS MESSAGE,
WE WILL FOLLOW THIS MESSAGE, WHICH IS ENOUGH TO LEAD CHEER FULL LIFE.
SATHA KOTI PRANAMAS TO LOTUS FEET OF SATH GURU DEVA.
SRI GURU DATTA.
It’s very hard to practice forgiveness and overcome anger. But the fear of the wrong things we might do or say while we get angry should help us control anger. Sri Swamiji has always forgiven us innumerable times. If not for His compassion, we would never ever forgive ourselves for the mistakes we would have committed. We will try our best to put this into practice Sri Swamiji. With your blessings, we will learn to handle moments of anger wisely. Jaya Guru Datta
Jaya Guru Datta
Sri Swamiji helps us to observe our anger, to understand where it comes from and to dissolve it. He gives us real understanding which allows forgiveness.
Sri Guru Datta
Om Namo Hanumate Namah
Jaya Guru Datta Appaji. wonderful message and this reminds me of Appaji’s Life History. Another distinct feature of this MMS is also that it is one of the few messages with bhajan in Appaji’s voice.
Jaya Guru Datta. I pray for devotion so that I can see Mother Swamiji in all. This anger I carry around is a poison and I don’t want it. Please take it from me and transform me into a forgiving and peaceful person. My temper has hurt me so much over the years. If there was more love in my heart for you then there would be no room for such ugliness. Let me be compassionate and forgiving, and please help me to understand karma. I love you Mother and it pains me when I have unloving thoughts about one of your children. I know that as a mother the way to my heart is to be kind to my children. Let me see every supposed foe as a teacher and a part of me. Sri Guru Datta
Anger seems an instinctive vice. As anger perpetrates in the mind, it turns in to rage and eats away at the mind, wasting precious time. It is sad that love can be destroyed due to bad temper. MMS #208 says that our anger hurts us more than it hurts others. Anger signifies an unhealthy mind which will eventually lead to an unhealthy body.
Thanks to the MMSes, when I am, on occasions, able to catch myself angry, I try to think of what it is that caused the anger. Every single time, it’s a desire for something, my ego. Desire is the cause for anger. Anger is just a manifestation of desire. Anger hurts others, but it hurts us more. By Swamiji’s grace, every time we are angry, we have an opportunity to understand the underlying desire and practice overcoming it. Easier said than done. But, with the grace of the Sathguru, I hope I can redirect my anger to understanding the desires hidden in my mind. Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet!
Jai Guru Datta. Sri Guru Datta. Om Namo Hanumathe Namaha.
Jaya Guru Datta Appaji _/\_!!
Anger is a foe. Anger dissolves affection. Therefore one should weaken it by forgiveness. Forgiveness is a friend. We will remember your words and follow you Sathgurudeva. Everything is your grace only.

What a good lesson, Appaji has given on 1st April , through this MMS 306. The photography is very apt for this MSg, since Appaji shows six finger and how beautifully explained the six common behaviour of an angry person. By reading this we can realize the anger will ultimately lead to wrong path or to a wrong decision . Here I even remember Appaji’s one of the old Bhajan Vande Mukundam– Vande Aravindam wherein there is a line Khma seelam Suguna seelam. That is forgiveness is the best methods to reduce the anger of the other person. In otherwords even patience is the greatest penance . in this MSG also the Bhajan is very apt since
in Mother’s creation in nature, She only can forgive and able to transform us. In this Kaliyuga , people are more interested to earn money for which they go to any extend. Due to this , they develop ego, pride and jealous which may lead to anger and sometime , if anything goes wrong it spoil the situation .Here we have to control our mind in such a way and try to forgive and handle it in a betterway. To control the mind , it is not so easy for which we have to practice through the spiritual path. For this we need the help of our Sadguru , Whose teachings we should follow strictly. In fact if we develop anger in our life, it will even spoil our health by way of stress and tension etc . Therefore Appaji we got your concept and accordingly , follow Your words and teachings and thereby learn to control our mind, develop patience in our life to forgive to the maximum and get rid of the anger also. JGD Appaji – It is true that anger keeps persons far away. We will make a habit of controlling the anger and be patience with every one, please bless us – SGD

JGD. In this internal war, Anger is a brutal enemy. Warriors must study the enemy so I like the analysis of the six presentations of anger. Thank You very much. JGD.
Jaya Guru Datta,
mother Talli holds the harvest and the kalasam. She brings only good to the peoples lives.

Jaya Guru Datta,
You message is as always true and with weak human minds we struggle everyday to bridle the anger and frustraion which is churing within. Please bless us with the strength to prevent the arrow from leaving the bow and cause umimaginable hurt to oursleves and others.
Like my sister Pavani, I am easy to forgive but hard to have complete trust with someone who like the scorpion stings you over and over.

My beloved SADGURU, as PUTTUJI says, we are part of MOTHER GODESS, and from this point we can forgive in each situation. We only have to jump over our own shadow. That means for example we have to give up to be the one who has right.
Thank YOU for this great teaching.
Humbly I bow down at YOUR Lotosfeet.
OM AIM HRIM SRIM HAMSAGATYAI NAMAH
Jaya Guru Datta Appaji, please bless me to be a forgiving person. Sri Guru Datta.

Forgiveness…. this word is used so often without any directions as to how to go about it! And, there are soooo many different meanings as to what it really is.. It is so true that the anger hurts the vessel and also true that it can also hurt the person it is directed towards if it is not contained and allowed to be physically expressed in violent actions! It is the responsibility of each human to take measures to control their anger within themselves..Therapy, self introspection, anger management classes, pranayama etc. I learned that anger is a secondary emotion,,, and that the primary emotion is Hurt! Bruised egos, expectations not met etc. And many times this anger dates back to the earlier stages of life around three or four year old, locked within and waiting for a catalyst, usually a loved one, to do or say something which triggers it for expression. Projections are rampant in our human condition! Ikk, Each of us must take responsibility to delve DIVE within our beings and resolve anger issues within ourselves.. Every human has anger issues, it’s how we deal with them which is important.
Jesus Christ suggested that we give a gift to those who we are angry with. Wow, what a blow to the ego that is… But most of the time it works if we can force ourselves to do so….A gift does not have to be a material gift, it can be a loving act of kindness…. The ego will respond with Why the hell do you want to be nice! Jesus also said not to go to bed angry…Hard lesson! So we know that anger was a big human issue/condition back then and long before!
Through the years I have found that understanding the other person and WHY they would have done such a thing helps to dissolve some of the anger and resentment. If you understand that the other person did it in a moment of “weakness”, because they saw no other way, because they were in a Fear mentality, Then this helps to dissove the anger towards them! If we try to walk in their shoes for a while…so I came up with a retort for the Ego which always seems to want to keep us in an anger state and continually devide us from the WHOLE.. I try to catch myself when the thought comes, and say “Poor Thing, they had to step so low and do that! “This statement helps to dissolve the anger towards them. and brings in a little compassions towards another human being who is in this same human condition as we are. I think it helps in the forgiveness process also!
We are all spiritual beings experiencing these human conditions for a reason. Only God knows why! We must beg God to help us.
Also, I have found that if I say ” Ok God, You have to take care of this! She/He’s YOUR child… It’s not up to me to punish. You handle it the way YOU want to! This one action takes the responsibility off of us and helps also to diffuse the anger!
I do not think it is possible or necessary or even wise to remain in relationship with all! We need to forgive or learn our lesson and move on! And practice our Kriya’s and Yoga which help dissolve the anger also! The more we tap into our divine selves, perhaps the easier we can let go of this anger entirely.
Dear Swamiji! Please help us with our anger issues!!! Please give us the perfect tool/ Kriya to dissolve anger, enhance forgiveness, so that we can realize our true images of Peace and LOVE! If we try to stay in THAT realm, That realm, the higher vibrations, will eventually dissolve the lower viscious vibrations of anger! Please,Give us the strength and determination to do just that.JGD! (I didn’t mean to write a book here, but these are my thoughts which this MMS stirred within me!)
jgd Swami ji. i know anger is the biggest enemy of us, and any disturbance in the fulfillment of the desire causes anger, let us control our desires and learn to forgive all , and live happily with all children of God onhn sgd
jayagurudatta puttuji, sashtangapranams at lotus feet of poojya swamiji, anger is our first enemy, but it is not easy to discard, we pray at sadguru,s lotus feet to burn that anger with his dust of lotus feet, one more important thing is forgiveness, which is told by poojya swamiji,
om namo hanumathenamhaa
Anger is the cause for so many ills. A wonderful message from Sadguru Deva, with moving visuals, and a soul rendering bhajan on Amma. Pranams to Lotus Feet.
