There is no room for divisions in daily life into compartments of professional life that allows for hypocrisy, business life that allows for deception, personal life that allows for reckless behavior, spiritual life that requires discipline, student life that requires bending to peer pressure, public life that requires showing off, and so forth – is what I am understanding from this saying. Our soul, mind, and body are the same throughout and are not compartmentalized, although our clothing may show differences such as the wearing of formal wear or shorts or night clothes or party attire, and so on. The heart must ever remain pure. The thoughts must always be loving and compassionate. The speech must ever be controlled, kind and true. The actions must always be sincere, generous, meticulous and worthy of being offered at Sadgurudeva’s lotus feet. Jaya Guru Datta
