Datta Stava 2 : So true ! When I surrender to Datta, I feel blessed ! On a warm summer day, a little boy was sweating in the sun, when he saw a large pepul tree. As he walked towards the tree he felt a gentle wave of breeze sweeping through the air. He saw the tree swaying in that breeze. He was very happy to enjoy the shadow and the breeze. He told the tree.. “ Thank you my dear pepul tree.. you have given me the breeze and the shadow when I needed it the most. The tree smiled and said “ I have been doing this for many years my son. You think I am causing the breeze because I shake myself and therefore shake the air around me.. No. Reality is.. I sway to the wind when it blows. I have surrendered to Mother Nature, accepting whatever she offers to me with happiness. That is why am able to offer you the shadow you are looking for now. In life, we all have to surrender to and draw from a higher power, if we have to be of use to those that need our service. If we don’t know how to bend down, we will never be able to stand upright. That is the power of surrender.” your puttuji..

Jaya Guru Hanuman Swamiji, Thank you for the beautiful message. I have read the meaning of Datta Stavam in a book which you have expounded and it is simply amazing. This verse reminds me of the story of king Dharmakeerti in Sree Datta Darshanam. How many sins he has committed after having darshan of your lotus feet. Still you have showered your compassion and destroyed all his sins and blessed him with satsang, devotion and unflinching faith. There is no word to describe the compassion you shower on us. Please bless all of us with unflinching Guru Bhakti and Guru Seva.

Yes, only God can love us like mother and protect like father. We should make our attempts to do be on righteous path, even if there are obstracles only with God’s grace one can be safe and protected. May lord protect all of us to be safe and protected.
