Lord Dattatreya is Sankarshana – The “Kriya Shakti”- Kinetic Force. He has both the capacities to expand & recede.. to integrate & disintegrate.. all the worlds. Such omnipotence destroys all sins, enlightens one’s wisdom, and eases the karmic suffering.. for those who remember him.

It was a blessing to watch the blu-ray version of the movie “Datta Darshanam” in the Mysore Ashrama in the presence of Sri swamiji last December. It was humbling to be reminded of how very benevolent Lord Datta is. An example of Lord Datta washing away our sins came in February 2012 in Ayodhya when Swamiji stated that everyone present had all their sins wiped away. That benevolence and magnificence of Lord Datta defies all description. Reaching out to us through various social media and through books, CDs, live darshans, discourses etc, Swamiji keeps reigniting the light of knowledge in our hearts. All Datta devotees have experienced in one form or another the power in Sri Swamiji’s healing – physically, mentally, spiritually etc. He takes away our pain, takes on our pain even so we can continue to learn and grow spiritually while teaching us to endure our karma with a positive attitude. Obeisances to the Lord Datta whose infinite love brings Him immediately to the presence of devotees

According to me for today’s MMS, there is no much comment is to be given. This is because those who follow our Sadguru, it is a basic requirement that everybody should learn and chant this divine sloka daily. It is such a powerful medicine for our spiritual development. That is why even before we take our food daily , Appaji has instructed to chant this mantra first and then take the food. The significance of this is we offer our food first to the God and then consider as it is a Prasada and take it. This we have to do not only in our Ashrama but also we have to practice in our house as wellas when we are in out side also. By practicing like that we will learn a discipline also in our life indirectly. Here each and every line of the sloka has got it’s importance and ultimately we will get the blessings from Lord Datta in all respects. In this Kaliyuga our Appaji is the incarnation of Lord Datta Himself, and thereby we are so fortunate . Therefore Appaji we got Your concept and follow your words and teachings strictly. JGD.

I bow down to Datta – Lord of the Trinity. Thank You Appaji to remember me about reading the Dattastava translation from time to time again. It is important not to go simply go by the sanskrit words, but also to understand them.
With Dattas grace our Audumbara Tree will grow again healthy in the new pot we gave HIM today – hope HE will like it again on the balcony during summertime.
