According to me, Appaji is again reminding us about the importance of chanting Datta Stavam through today’s MMS 343. This is because , Appaji is very particular about all Datta devotees should chant Datta Stavam everyday for our own benefit. Now we are in Kaliyuga and thereby our mind will always be disturbed and attracted by all un necessary desires and pleasures. Therefore to overcome this, we have to follow a spiritual path from our early part of our life. Here we have to develop our spiritual knowledge through the Sadguru.. Accordingly in Swamiji’s teachings , the first step is to learn to chant Daata Stavam. If we practice this , Datta will protect us in all respects and He always stand for Dharma only. That is why through this divine mantra, Appaji is asking us to follow Dharma.( the basic principle of cosmos). The photography and the Bhajan on keyboard in raga Bhiravi Dattatheraya are also apt for this MSG. Thank You Appaji for a nice teachings and we follow You. JGD.

“Sarva roga prashamanam Sarva peedaa nivaaranam
Vipaduddharanam vande Smartrgaamee sanovatu ”
Desire to obtain new pleasures and Desire to be rid of present troubles are the two categories of Desire. Among these the latter is stronger. This verse is dedicated for describing the trouble-removing and calamity-preventing aspect of Our Lord.
He is ‘Sarva roga prashamana’ & ‘Sarva peedaa nivaarana’. He cures all three types of diseases: physical, mental, and those pertaining to spiritual practice. We are familiar with diseases of the physical body and diseases of the mind.The diseases that afflict those who pursue spirituality are ‘ego’ and such. We surrender and serve Lord Dattaswaroopa Sathgurudeva and get cured from all the diseases and miseries.

D a t t a Stava was my first Impression of prayer around Sri Swamiji.
It also gave me the impression of Indian culture, religion and strength.
Mantras are in my view the greatest contribution, India gave to the world.
We can conquer every bad influence by them, may be physical or mental.

Many thanks Puttugi for explaining us the meaning of each and every stanza of powerful & sacred Datta stavam.Each and every Datta devotee day starts with chanting of Datta stavam.
Offering our prayers to lord is to seek HIs help because without GOD’S wish, i feel one cannot even take a breath. May lord bless us always to be in the path HE wants us to walk in, to reach HIM.
