  1. This MMS strikes at the root of righteous living.. which is righteous thinking. What a lovely way to picture this idea.. as if the green sparks are thoughts firing at the end of every nerve in the brain !

Nobility in thought connotes higher order thinking.. righteous, gracious & self-sacrificing. Might sound like a tall order, tough ask.. from mortal human beings. But, wait.. haven’t we all grown up to be what we are because of our Mothers who thought that way?

Such nobility in thought and action is what every mother reserves for her children. A lady plays many roles.. in no other role is her thinking so noble, as it is when she plays mother.

Pranams Appaji, You are our Supreme Mother. It is your noble thought that has groomed us to where we are today. We will follow you by having noble thoughts for all those around us. As such nobility manifests in action, we will progress towards our fulfilment, and do you proud. Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji.

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji, during this past year, I have been trying to really put into practice this idea of thinking about God as much as possible. At first, honestly, I wasn’t sure what to think. Should I think about the sacred stories? Should I think about my relationship with God? Should I think of Swamiji? Should I think about rituals? Ideas other people taught me about God? I found I really didn’t know how in the beginning to go about it. So I started with telling you that in my heart…then I started thinking about all the different ways God has been present in my childhood onward and than about what the Veds say. I mentioned this practice to the Datta Kriya Yoga students, and I could tell that they too weren’t sure just how one goes about thinking about God. We are so used to spending our days thinking about our problems or our loved ones that we don’t know how to do this very powerful but simple thing. The greatest part is that every time I take the time to think about God instead of my problems or other things, life is much happier, the problems seem to get solved and there is much more peace in my life. I guess we have to be willing to change our thinking habits and begin to ponder different ideas each day other than our own imaginary dramas. Thanks for the wonderful reminder.

Pranamams to Swamiji. Dharma , consciousness of righteous living, exalted ideas
come when we always think of God and seek His Hands for our well being. These days
I think of Raja Rajeswari Matha, our universal Mother, for all the solutions, for all
the Miracles that inculcate a consciousness that Truth alone prevails. Our Universal
Mother has already visualised this Kali yugam and the happenings ( the characteristic
features of this era ). Prostrations to Her Feet and to HER AVATAR SON.

JGD.As the 2nd day of Navaratri advancing I was waiting for the MMS to appear, at the same time Poojya Swamiji is giving Upadesa on Devi saptasathi. The world Long time ago is terrorised by a Evil Mahisha sura king of RAKSHASA.He defeated Lord INDRA and occupied the SwARGA.He defeated all the Devathas and Usurped the power of all Devatha. The doings of this Devil angered the Lords Vishnu,Lord Shiva,Lord Indra and other Devathas. All of them projected their Noble thought of Vanquishing Evil Mahishasura and A Beautiful form of Goddess RAJARAJESWARI evolved. That is the power of Noble thought.

Jaya Guru Datta. Appaji, you have given us a measuring stick for our spiritual progress. As we pay close attetion to our thoughts we can see whether or not we are upholding Dharma. You have given us tools to effectively root out the bad thinking. It is not a difficult thing to implement and dig out the weeds. Thank you. Sri Guru Datta

Swamiji said, “Dharma is not just giving alms to the poor. It is to realize with firm conviction that every single being in Creation is a manifestation of God. Dharma is being totally free from envy and jealousy which is only possible if one achieves that oneness with all. Being good devotees, rendering service, sacrificing selfish interests to get close to the Sadguru is not sufficient. Dharma requires that you do not wish ill upon those who you think are getting closer to your Sadguru than you are. You may have great love for your Guru, but if you entertain feelings of differentiation, feelings of inferiority or superiority, you are far from Dharma. The gopikas of Brindavan lost the company of Lord Krishna just for this reason. Their love for Krishna knew no bounds. Yet, their jealousy towards other gopikas and their possessive nature caused Krishna to leave their company and move away permanently. Even his closest disciple Uddhava entertained a feeling of separateness from Krishna. Hence, Krishna left him also in the end. In Rama’s kingdom, everyone identified with Rama. So he took them all with him to heaven via the Sarayu River.”

    • Hira Duvvuri on October 17, 2012 at 12:39 pm

Unless one can identify the spark of divinity in each and every soul and treat others as one would treat oneself it is not possible to be free from jealousy. That is the greatness of Mother Anasuya, the mother of Datta. It is only when that feeling of oneness is firmly established in the heart that the thoughts that spring in the mind will be truly noble and they will reflect as noble actions. Our Sadgurudeva, with his most compassionate motherly love for us all, is the best role model for us all to follow. Jaya Guru Datta

Dharma is the noble thoughts itself. The noble thoughts drive noble actions. These noble actions result in benevolent beings and thereby the better society. As we were already instructed in earlier MMS’ that Dharma’s ulterior objective is to have a better society. Jayaho Appaji!!!!

Thoughts evolve into actions.First we must observe our thoughts. If a negative thought occurs we must at once identify the reason for its negatively and put it out of our mind. Replace it with right thinking and we will do right action. If negative thoughts are left in the mind they grow adharmic actions. If you are having trouble then speak to Sadguru , he will help root them out.

    • Hira Duvvuri on October 17, 2012 at 11:33 pm

Yudhishthira in the Mahabharata got the titles Dharmaraja (King of Dharma) and Ajaatashatru (One without enemies) because to the core, he followed Dharma. He gambled because it was his duty as a king not to refuse an offer by another king to engage in a pastime. He fought the war against the Kauravas not because he hated the Kauravas but because it was his duty to fight to establish Dharma. He was not of the stature of Rama as a personification of Dharma, perhaps, because he was only the son of Lord Yama (the Dictator of results for actions) and not a divine incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Who can have no enemies? Only those who are totally free from a sense of duality, only those who are ever of the feeling that they are only a miniscule part of a divine whole, which is this entire Creation, and not a separate entity concerned with preservation of self or self-interest. I pray to Sadgurudeva to bless us all with this clear realization and firm conviction. May we all become like him! Jaya Guru Datta

    Jaya Guru Datta Puttuji,

Just yesterday pujya Sri Swamiji was saying about Dharma and today MMS video message about it.
Thank you Appaji.Having noble thoughts makes us do good deeds. Following Sri Swamiji’s words and doing as per HH instruction is itself a Dharma. Many times it confuses me on what is Dharma and what is Adharma, how do you differentiate between them. What is Dharma for you may be Adharma for someone else. I pray to pujya guru deva to instill noble thoughts in our minds and make us lead a dharmic life.

    Sri Guru Datta

Lalitha means “she who plays” So apt! Supreme mother whose play resulted in this world. She is the one who plays on our mind, resulting in noble thoughts, she is also the one who plays on our tongue and that results in good words. If she is at her divine play, then, Dharma ought to prevail. Lets pray that Amma in all her splendour and grandeur bless us with noble thoughts, words and deeds. This MMS is a powerful reminder to be mindful of our thoughts so that we do our bit to preserve dharma. Prayers to Raja Rajeshwari rupi Appaji to bestow the knowledge we need to always tread the dharmic path. JGD, SGD.

  5. Jai Guru Datta, pranams to you, our Spiritual mother for always guiding us towards the righteous path. We pray that please keep us always in your Sharan.

Jaya Guru Datta! Thank You, Puttuji, for peeling the layers of ignorance slowly and steadily. I had perceived Dharma to be based on actions performed and words said. We are working our way towards the root of Dharma by understanding that noble thoughts are necessary for Dharma. You said in a previous MMS that bad thoughts are as evil as bad actions. MMS #2 said “Cultivate noble thoughts in the mind. Express them in pleasant words. Reflect them in your actions. The way to heaven is this.” And since actions spring from our thoughts, noble thoughts lead to noble actions and words which thereby constitute Dharma. And following Dharma will lead us to Sathguru’s Lotus Feet. Obeisance at the Holy Lotus Feet!

Righteousness can be followed only by an exalted moral or mental excellence. To follow righteous path one needs to follow a strict discipline. Right, wrong, righteous and sinful paths… all duals are meant for a healthier society and to walk in an easy path towards God. This MMS is a fabulous and simple message about righteousness.

Jai Guru Datta! Following dharma will make us noble and thus we come nearer to our true nature. The path is long, with Sadguru’s grace we may have the patience and perseverance. To let go of all ideas and feelings that seperate us from one another and live as a small particale of one holy whole instead.
“That is the whole, this is the whole. From the whole the whole arises. when you take the whole from the whole, the whole still remains,”says the Guru-Gita.

    • Hamsa on October 26, 2012 at 10:18 pm

It is necessary to direct our thoughts on noble path. Man’s mind shines with purity if he cultivates noble thoughts, ideas and feelings. Only by developing purity of mind, we can ensure purity of action. Only then can dharma be protected. If we have to cultivate noble thoughts, you must keep good company. There is no other company than the company of Sadguru. This is the lesson people have to learn today. Cultivate good thoughts by being in SATSANG (good company) or in the seva of Sadguru. This helps us is up-keeping and protecting dharma.

Therefore, we should sow seeds of noble thoughts and reap good fruits of dharma. If we understand the impact of these thoughts; then will we be able to recognize the sacredness of human birth. This understanding is accomplished only by the grace of Sadguru. The divine teachings and presence of Sadguru removes bad thoughts and nourishes noble thoughts in us. In this way Sadguru guides us in the way of dharma.

Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitaha! dharma protects those who protect it..!

Pujya Gurudeva in the living embodiment of dharma. HIS teachings and spiritual guidance is helping so many souls in becoming good human-beings. I pray to pujya Gurudeva to guide us to develop noble thoughts and protecting dharma. Shree Gurubhyo Namaha!!
