Education : Gurudeva, You have said it very well. Education gives us the ability to be of service to others. Engineers, doctors, lawyers, masons, carpenters, painters.. whatever be ones walk of life, the more he gets educated, the greater his ability to create value for his society. When people pursue education, they pursue Saraswathi; and they find Lakshmi also coming after them. When society sees value in their work, it is willing to pay them any price for that benefit. Education is the only ornament that no one can steal from us. This is the only ornament that also multiplies as we share it with others. Thank you Sadguru for alerting us to this eternal truth! Here education does not mean secular education which makes us selfish people and work only for our sake or for the sake of family/friends/relatives. Real education is one that transforms us internally, makes us unselfish, helps us share with others, help us see everyone as one big family and understand God. There can be no ornament that can equal to such education.

Jaya Guru Datta! Swamiji has said in the past that the goal of education is character. And nothing makes a person more beautiful than a beautiful character and demeanor. Education brings with it character, humility, integrity, scholarship etc.
Degrees and diplomas earned to bring in money and wealth do not comprise real education unless they result in good character. A person with such education will not worry about how his wealth compares to others nor will he judge others based on material possessions. Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet!
