Jaya Guru Datta. We’ve known of many instances where Sri Swamiji has tears rolling down his face as devotees relate their problems to Him. It’s incredibly moving and gut wrenching to see the supreme master share in the sorrows of us mortals, but Sri Swamiji feels the pain we do.
The beautiful picture at the end of the video is from Swamiji’s annual ritual during Datta Jayanti where he prays for the departed souls. He prays for us when we are alive, He prays for us when we are gone. No one else does that for us, except our Sadguru.

Paramatma suffers a great deal for the sake of the devotees. This pain only the truest devotees can recognize. Others do not realize it. Saints know it, that the Lord has taken upon Himself their own personal suffering. They do not feel happy about it. They do not wish for God to suffer on their behalf. Hence they sincerely pray that instead, they should be given the strength to endure their own pain.

This unique Terracotta Stoopa was inaugurated by Sri Swamiji on the 3rd of May 1992. Sri Swamiji says it has WORLDWIDE SIGNIFICATIONS. 1008 Brahmarishis are located behind this spiritual monument. It is a memorial for departed souls and symbolizes the struggle of departed souls that has trapped in distress due to untimely and unnatural death. The Stoopa represents the idea of ELEVATION of agonised and suffering souls to a higher state of liberation, so that these souls rest in peace.
The sublte significance of this Stoopa lies in SRI SWAMIJI’S MISSION TO RELIEVE THE TROUBLED SOULS FROM THEIR BONDED EXISTENCE and experience freedom.
Recalling Punya Smaranam, where Pujya Sri Swamiji offers cooked rice to Lord Dattatreya in memory of the departed souls, who have rendered service to Datta Peetham., during Dattatreya Jayanti.
Recently too, Sadgurudeva offered Puja to Akala Moksha Stupa for liberation of souls who died during the devastating earthquake in Nepal and spoke about helping the survivors.

HH feels our pain and shares in our sorrows across this birth and others.
