  1. Profound perspective!
Am I qualifying more at an early age, so that I earn enough for my old age? Am I earning more, so that I acquire the premium degrees which will keep me productive in my old age? Such expectations are the root cause of excessive stress & early burnout in homes, colleges & workplaces
You don’t see a board outside Saraswathi & Varalakshmi temples saying “Those above 50 not allowed here”. But we believe in acquiring knowledge & wealth early in life & hoard them for a lifetime. That belief fuels self-interest & motivation to exploit. That belief forces us to desire before we deserve.. sinful
    Pranams Sathgurudeva!
What we ‘are’ speaks louder than what we ‘know’ & what we ‘have’. We’ll earn knowledge & wealth, only to share them with the needy around us, for in your grace we are free from the fear of aging or death. In that sense of freedom, we build capacity to create knowledge & wealth, always!

Jaya Guru Datta! Few of us know what the future holds, but we do know that our thoughts, words and deeds create our future. May we envision the life that Sri Swamiji wants for us–one filled with the countless joy, blessings and true prosperity that putting these MMS lessons into action in our daily lives can bring us! Here we have been blessed with the greatest wealth and knowledge that can sustain us through all of our time on Earth. Sri Guru Datta!

There are diffrent forms from knowledge. At the university I had to learn things, which I never used in my life and which I could forget after the examen. But there is also knoledge, which is important for living a good life. This knowledge I like. At the moment I read Bhagavad Gita, here I find this knowledge. From the other I don’t like to have much, it doesn’t serve me.

Indeed a very detailed explanation to us Appaji as many are guilty of this way of thinking, it is important to remind us to ensure that we do not fall into the trap of thinking this way ourselves. We must to learn to be selfless in this life with you, our Sadguru by our side every step of the way… Humble pranams to you my dear Appaji….

    Sri Sarasvatyai Namah
Sri Swamiji offers us such a wonderful universe of knowledge and experiences. We will never be tiered of learning more since every bit of understanding is such a huge bliss. The perception of the world in us and around us becomes so much nicer and richer.
Thank You so much for every bit of knowledge and for the way we can live our life with You.

Jaya Guru Datta Appaji – a totally forgotten fact given back to the society by Sri Swamiji. That too explained in a wonderful short video with right approach. The invocation of the Goddess of knowledge and wealth are just appropriation.

Thank YOU for the so important message, Appaji!
It reminds me of a wonderful saying:
“Even if I knew that I would pass away tomorrow,
I still would plant an apple tree today…”
Let us live in a perspective
which shares everything with the needy around us!

Pranams Appaji for the MMS that inspires the people of all ages, dispels the weakness and faint heartedness that we are aged to set new goals and targets. Its true that age is not a hurdle to acquire knowledge and wealth. Its the passion to learn and untiring hard work are the essential primary requisites to acquire knowledge and health. Professionals irrespective of their age have to keep always themselves in step with the latest developments, if not they would be out of the race. A bussy life, enriching ourselves with the knowledge of books keeps us always young at thoughts. Einstein says ” Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety nine percent perspiration”. Hard work and success are inseparable companions and we are the makers of our own destiny. Jayagurudatta.

What a nice advice , Appaji has given through today’s MMS. According to my view indirectly , Appaji says age or fear of death are not at all a criteria to earn knowledge and wealth. Here our Appaji Himself is an example for us. This is because at this age also He is very busy throught out the year to share His valuable knowledge and wealth for our benefit and for the growth of our spiritual path. If we follow His words and teachings we can realize this fact. That is why even in MMS 232 it is said that we should seek from God first knowledge , then health and wealth. In this Kaliyuga , we see our Sadguru in the form of our God and therefore to acquire these we have to follow Him in all respects. Once we acquire knowledge, then to develop the same we need the health also and when both are acquired we get good wealth also. Now once the knowledge is acquired we should share with others as per MMS 261 and as per that we should not keep the same for own benefit only. Similarly we should also share the wealth for the real needy. From to day’s MMS we should also learn that till our life, always keep our brain busy to acquire more and more knowledge and wealth also and share with others and not only that Appaji is reminding here all these are not going permanently with you. The photography and the Bhajan are very apt for this MSG. Therefore Appaji we got your concept and follow you as per your valuable advice. JGD.

JGD.Knowledge is wealth, imperishable, unending, continuous to every living being. It is that the material wealth is to deplete by spending or depreciating,as valued by the mundane world. But knowledge is the basis for earning any type of wealth, perishable or otherwise.Any way APPAJI is the source to us for everything.SGD

Another eye opening message today. To earn wealth as if we don’t expect to age or die is to earn wealth only as much as needed for the day and to share our wealth with others. We’ve always been taught to earn and save now so we don’t have to worry about rainy days or old age. And Swamiji also advises devotees to save appropriately. But, I think the message is about the mindset and the desire here. It is foolish to spend all life, esp when we are able bodied chasing after wealth, just as it is foolish to wait to gain spiritual knowledge or detachment when we get old. It’s perhaps counter intuitive to a lot of us to not be in a hurry to accumulate wealth while we can. But, the simple reminders from Swamiji that life is not permanent, that luxuries and wealth delude the mind, that when it’s time to go, money cannot really do anything will awaken us to the idea. Knowledge is our real wealth and by the grace of Swamiji, I’ll learn and grow till the last breath. Pranams at the Lotus Feet!

    Jaya Guru Datta Puttuji_/\_!!
Thank you Puttuji for beautifully explaining the root cause of desire and stress and the remedy.
The beautiful darshan of Appaji today seems to be asking us – “What have you learnt from the 265 MMSes? Are you following them?”

    Jaya Guru Datta Appaji _/\_!!
Sadgurudeva, Katha Sagar Vol II (Kausika):
If righteousness and wealth are possessed by a man, it is similar to be
able to keep two swords in a single sheath. One who has both of these
features will attain the wonderful knowledge of the self (Atma).
We are following You happily !!

    • Sarumati on February 24, 2013 at 4:08 am

This is a very interesting topic.

I think in young age we strive to earn money, have a good reputation in society, found a family etc.
Material activities are more in view.
Later on, when vitality is decreasing, one takes a better look at the transcendent ways of living.
In the best case one has a background that enables us to gain an insight in one`s former life.
Many of us will smile at the follies of youth then … or grieve over them.

For me it is important to learn from these experiences.
It is a great gift of old age, if we are able to recognize the truths of life in tranquility and ease.
No matter how poor or ill we are, we can keep holding on the grace of our experiences.
And give these treasures to the young ones.
If we have gathered wealth, we can also give it to the poor ones.

There is a nice tale in Germany about a grasshopper that was chirping all summer long,
not caring for food for the winter, as all other animals did.
At winter time, it was knocking at the doors of the other animals, begging for food.
They gave it, criticizing the grasshopper for its carelessness.
But during the cold, dark winter evenings the grasshopper was singing beautifully for all the others,
    making their dull life cheerful.
So, the meaning of this story is, that everyone has a special task in life.
An artist`s task may perhaps not be so productive from a material standpoint, but it
brings joy into the world !

    JGD Appaji
When He is the creator, everything we have is His,.. This life, wealth, knowledge etc has been given to us, we do not own anything. Our only duty is to share what He is has given us with the rest of His creation. We need not worry about anything, He knows when to give what.
