Swamiji is showing us the parrots as examples. They have done nothing wrong. They are pure and innocent, leading virtuous lives. But man steals a parrot from its flock, separates it from its species, puts it in his home in a cage, he clips its wings and gives it food that he finds convenient. He rarely gives it his loving companionship. The parrot’s living space is absolutely cramped compared to the wide open skies. Its cage is filthy compared to the clean and fresh forests. Its life is lonesome. Yet, the parrot does not hate the human race. It is neither vengeful nor indifferent. It talks to us, plays with us, entertains us, and makes us laugh. It takes good care of its feathers, exercises, eats moderately, and sings and dances with us. Is it not amazing? Is a parrot not a saint, a guru, a spiritual master that teaches us to be disengaged from this body and worldly circumstances and just relish the bliss of our own souls! We build cages around ourselves with our obsessive desires for illusory joys. We worry about the future and regret the past. We separate ourselves from God voluntarily and leave our natural home at Sadguru’s divine feet. The parrot is showing us how to be kind to those around us and to remain cheerful. The parrot is rewarded with a seat on Swamiji’s shoulder and with his kisses. Jaya Guru Datta

Thank you for yet another humbling lesson, you are truly an amazing Sadguru.

When seeing Sri Swamiji or when we are together with Him we can feel His deep love and experience the wonderful peace created by Him. He takes us as we are with all our mistakes and problems.
Thank you for this wonderful MMS. .

Happy prostrations at the lotus feet of Dakshinamoorthi Swaroopa Sadgurudeva_/\_!!
This whole world is an expression of Sadguru’s kindness, which is our only protection.
In light of this message, we recall the Nandana MMSes: Kindness should always be remembered and Kindness is the root of virtue.
We always perceive that the grass is greener on the other side. This is an illusion just as all that glitters is not gold. Also just as appearances are many a times deceptive, we should not jump to conclusion about the lives of others. Doing so leads to jealousy and jealously does not engender compassion. Appaji wants us to be compassionate at all times. So it follows that we must practice kindness. We should help others in grief. If we cannot help others, we should at least not cause them harm in any manner. When Sadgurudeva is so kind to us, shouldn’t we reciprocate that towards others?

True> Everyone have their problems according to their karma. It is better to concentrate on Appaji other than anyone.
