SGS Gems:
-Dharma purifies the mind and eliminates bad thoughts.
Thank you Puttuji for the wonderful MMS.
Dharma Dhwaja in DP (In front of Prayer Hall). This 45′ monolith octagonal stone pillar represents the churn of good and bad thoughts and through the churn comes out prinstine pure truth. The stone pillar is carved with symbols of nature, music, Chakras, Yoga principles, philosophical aphorisms & religious symbolisms. On top of the pillar is Guru Paduka from which flows the fountain of spiritual wisdom. A 40 min. sound and light show is extremely captivating, leading the audience to a highly intellectual plane of Self (Atman).

Thankful pranams to the Divine feet of Matha Jayalakshmi for blessing us with Sadgurudeva, Our Dharma, Our Real Virtue, Our Real Fortune_/\_!!
Appaji is Dharma, Appaji is Rama. Both were born with the purpose of protecting mankind and Dharma. Following Appaji is following Dharma. Following Appaji is in itself Divinity.
From swamijisays@yogasangeeta:
Katha Saagar II Effect of righteousness:
Righteousness is subtle. Sometimes viewed from the materialistic outlook, one may not realize the subtle aspect of righteousness. To those who follow the righteous path with a strong will power even at the stake of life in certain circumstances, righteousness is a penance. It protects them and gives them invaluable boons.
If righteousness and wealth are possessed by a man, it is similar to be able to keep two swords in a single sheath. One who has both of these features will attain the wonderful knowledge of the self (ATMA).
Sadgurudeva, on Sanatana Dharma TTD, June 5, 2008
The most popular method of worship of the nine types is Gana Bhakti (singing the glory of the Lord). It is one of the simplest and easiest method of propagating Bhakti (devotion) and Dharma (righteousness) . All the ancient seers sought this method to mobilize and transform people.
SGS Gems:
-Man’s duty is to work and practise his dharma and not to look for the fruits thereof. Work is worship.
-Performing duties is Swadharma/rightful obligation.
-The knowing of Dharma is awakened through the service of the Guru; The seeker after knowledge should find God in the Guru.
-What is Dharma? Most simply put, it means Truth, Love and Sacrifice.
-The whole world lives & moves & has its being in God. Dharma is the means to elevate mankind to the level of feeling the presence of God. Man should practice Dharma to reach this Divinity.
-Rise toward divinity is the most beautiful ride one can take.

Pujya Sri Bala swamiji, 10th Discourse on Dashavataras:
It is advised that we do not forget the five important words that start with the alphabet G. They are Guru, Govinda, Ganga, Gomata, and Gita. Adding Guru Seva and Gomata seva to the above would be appreciated. Listening to these stories will help us to know about our dharma or duty and how to practice. Bestowal of merit is essential byproduct. Yoga, Veda, and dharma are there too for practicing. Mere listening is not enough.

If the supreme truth that ‘none of the objects present in this world will accompany me on my further journey after death’ is deeply grasped by the mind, then it will automatically transform the person’s way of thinking. The one who has understood the truth will never ever grieve for that which is untrue.
Every human being in this world strives only towards earning materialistic prosperity (artha) and towards fulfillment of desires (kaama) but no one is even slightly interested in matters of dharma (righteousness) and in contemplation about God. It is imperative that everyone understands this truth that life is impermanent. With this understanding, the person should increase his dedication towards dharma and should abide by it.
Pujya Sri Bala Swamiji’s Discourse on Yoga Vasishtha, July 29,2014.

Dharma is most important. The conviction about Dharma comes only out of dispassion, not desire. We are only interested in the children winning the rat race in this world. With Dharma they will certainly succeed in the world. There is no need to worry about it. Yesterday Sri Swamiji told us how important discipline, courtesy, and simplicity in life are.
Why do we pray to God? We can absorb the mind in God only if we give up our attachment to the world. Developing concentration is vairagya/dispassion. 99% of life is detachment and dispassion. Only 1% is worldliness. We are in illusion and we are raising our children also in delusion. The result of not developing dispassion is that it breeds unrighteousness/adharma.
Vyasa’s Lamentation. Dr. Rao’s Speech on Guru Purnima 2014, July 12,2014.
It is time to remember the lamentation over the decay of dharma. At the very end of the Mahabharata in Svargarohanika Parva (Book 18:5), Veda Vyasa expresses his displeasure at the decay of righteousness through Dharmaraja:
”Thousands of mothers and fathers, and hundreds of sons and wives arise in the world and depart from it. Others will (arise and) similarly depart. There are thousands of occasions for joy and hundreds of occasions for fear. These affect only him that is ignorant but never him that is wise. With uplifted arms I am crying aloud but nobody hears me. From Righteousness is Wealth as also Pleasure. Why should not Righteousness, therefore, be courted? For the sake neither of pleasure, nor of fear, nor of cupidity should any one cast off Righteousness. Indeed, for the sake of even life one should not cast off Righteousness. Righteousness is eternal. Pleasure and Pain are not eternal. Jiva is eternal.”
This is the message Sri Swamiji has been delivering admonishing His devotees to follow the righteous path, not to go astray, uphold dharma, face the hurdles, serve the humanity and follow the master only to reestablish dharmic world.
Let us pray to Sadgurudeva, to become careful in our daily conduct of righteousness. and follow Dharma.
Victory to Dharma !! Victory to Appaji !!
