The flow of a river is guided by the river bed. Through times good and bad, the river flows effortlessly through that pathway imprinted on the earth, towards its source.. the Ocean.
Dear Sathgurumata!
Your messages are commandments for a good virtuous life. We will assimilate & practice them such that they deeply imprint into our minds.. because, our thoughts will then be guided by those imprinted neural pathways.
You have taught us many many methods to create those pathways. Singing the glory of Datta (Bhaja Bhaja Dattam) is one of them. As we sing and reflect on the virtuous life exemplified by you.. our Lord Dattatreya, we imprint those pathways in our brains.
Once those neural pathways are etched in our brains, we know our thoughts will flow through them. When our thoughts are right, we know our actions will be right, and our living virtuous, as we engage in serving your cause, and flow into our ocean of fulfilment.

Jaya Guru Datta! I wish I could say that I remember everything you’ve ever taught me. Alas, some lessons I have to learn over and over again. But I do think about what you teach us and I do try to implement it as I can. Many of your teachings were hard for me to understand when I first met you. I,would read your talks or sacred texts and be baffled by the words. That happens less and less now, so perhaps a little is finally sinking in. But there is still a long way to go. With your grace,I’ll remember more and more. Sri Guru Datta!

Jaya Guru Datta! Sri Swamiji’s teachings are an ocean of divine knowledge. Lifetimes spent peeling the layers may not get us to the bottom of the ocean. But, as some of the devotees have pointed out in their comments above, it’s amazing how some of the messages suddenly seem so applicable to us years after we’ve heard them. What’s so unique is that Swamiji’s messages are not limited to purely spiritual knowledge, but touch upon every aspect of life including personal hygiene, family life, social interactions, friendships, professional life, social responsibilities and so on. Thank You, Swamiji for using technology to reach out to us so lovingly and repeatedly so we can absorb Your messages. Per Swamiji’s instructions to us, I will need to keep studying Swamiji’s messages, keep listening to His music, keep track of new releases, current programs, new projects etc. I will need to keep thinking about Swamiji’s vision, energy, friendship, feeling, touching. Whenever negative thoughts enter my head, I will need to use the light of Swamiji’s mantras or teachings to remove the darkness. Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet!
According to me, if we go through today’s MMS, indirectly Appaji is reminding us that one should reach to the state of self realization. Even if we imprint each day’s MMS in our mind, that itself take us finally to the state of self realization. That is what Appaji is expecting from every devotee. Once we reach to that level , then we will have a peaceful life. Here peaceful means, according to me, we will be able to control our mind, control the sense organs, get rid of ego, jealous , pride, arrogance and selfishness etc. we will also realize our potential and can balance our life accordingly. Finally we will be able to develop our spiritual knowledge also. Here Puttuji you have given a nice explanation also about how a river flows gently through the river bed and reach it’s final goal and that is ocean. But in between that even though lot of obstacles have to face, it will not bother also . Accordingly we should also imprint the valuable MSG of our Appaji in our mind for which we should develop concentration also. Here basically if we think about our mind , it is like a space wherein we are filling up with both good and bad thoughts. Therefore we should try to fill the same only with good thoughts for which Appaji’ Bhajans will help us a lot. By listening or singing Bhajans , it will lead us to get good concentration and there by in our mind we can fill with good thoughts. These thoughts will flow through our mind like the river and at that time if we listen to Appaji’s MSG then it is easy to imprint in our mind the same which will take us finally to the state of self realization also. Here the Bhajan in keyboard Bhaja–Bhaja Dattam is also apt for this MSG. Thank You Appaji to give such a nice MSG and we follow You in all respects. JGD.

Our heart and mind knows Appaji is the truth. But like clouds in the clear sky, sometimes we get blurred with thoughts, circumstances and situations….we need to remember that clouds pass away and the truth remains, that is Appaji. We should not give in to the clouds, but remain stuck to the clear sky by constantly remembering Apppaji and His teachings.
Messages that guide our lives should always be imprinted and followed. These have to be memorised as experiences to have moral support during hardship. May lord bless us all with complete faith in HiM and follow instructions obtained in any form.
