Jaya Guru Datta! In the past, I can remember Swamiji talking about how He wants us to use Him to help ourselves attain realization, but instead, we ask Him for a good job, or a new house, or a marriage partner. I have heard Him lament that when we are in His presence, we forget to ask spiritual questions or how to improve our sadhana. Let us all make a New Year’s resolution to use our time with Swamiji more wisely….Who else in our lives wants our ultimate success of realization? Sri Guru Datta!

As we enter a new year, Sri Swamiji moulds Our thinking & inspires us to be sincere in all our pursuits. He teaches us to be sincere in following His teachings, the Nandana MMS, Puttu Gam posts, our daily prayers & other instructions to us by Sadguru.
Festivals occur & are celebrated year after year, but, the universal principle for sincerity will never change & is repeatedly reminded to us through the celebrations…
Sri Swamiji had taught us that the universe rests in the womb of The Mother.
Sri Guru Gita teaches us that the cosort of Parvathi (Mother) – Lord Shiva is Guru.
Oh! Guru, You envelope everything – beyond our imagination.
It is true without doubt that it is You who teaches us, guides us & builds the discipline & devotion in us to conduct ourselves appropriately.
We seek Your blessings, that we sincerely pursue all that You bestow us with..

Our bird friends in the Shukha Vana, like a mirror have shown us, how much eternal love You bestow on us & how we heed & follow Your ways (sometimes obedient, sometimes ignorant)
The animation in the MMS are splendid as well as very thoughtful.

At the end of the year, Appaji has given a warning to us saying that , we should be loyal and true to ourself. Therefore to attain this quality, we should follow the spiritual path through our Sadguru only. The photography and the Bhajan played on Harmonium by our late Arogyaswami are very apt to this MSG. This is because if we go through GuruGeetha , we will realize the importance ofour Sadguru through Whom we can obtain Self realization and will be always sincere. In this kaiyuga people are interested for worldly pleasures and for material benefit which is not at all permanent .Therefore if we develop our spiritual path , we can get rid of from the unwanted desires and get liberation through the teachings of our Sadguru which is only permanent . Self-Realization is another name for God-Realization. All duties should be done with sincerity and concentration. Concentration with Unconditional belief is called sincerity (shredha). Even if a person performs meditation standing with one leg for 1000 of years, he will fail to see the supreme if it is done without belief and sincerity.

Appaji observes all your thoughts, words and deeds in the visible form or in a subtle form. He teaches us different principles at the proper time. We are fortunate to be with Sadgurudeva and our foremost duty is to follow His words and register in our minds. We can attain the goal of self-realization, succeed in our inner journey by a cautious march on the divine path under the guidance of Sadgurudeva.

We are learning from you. We will be more sincere to ourselves in this year ahead.

Jai Guru Datta,
I´ve heard a holy man say that if you want god as badly as you want air when you are about to drown He will be there in an instant. I´m in a deluded state and it´s difficult for me to be as sincere as a drowning man in his need for air. I can only pray to Sri Swamiji – please be so kind and kindle the flame within my heart and please norrish the fire that is already burning. Please give me the strenght and grace to go beyond my own limitations, fears, addictions and shortcomings. Please help me to become sincere.
