Jaya Guru Datta. Money can buy food, but not satisfaction. Money can buy a mattress but not sleep. Money can buy music but not peace. It is the innate nature of the instrument that has the power to satisfy the need. However, the need and the satisfaction – both are created by the Lord God. If we look at the current message, the donors may be able to sponsor and donate money towards Annadana, but who has given the intent and content to the people who are sponsoring – intent to donate (and moey being the content of donation) – that is none other than Lord God. When God has created hunger, the means to satisfy it, the support structure that is needed and the kartas (people) who can support it – why shall we, humans, unnecessarily crave for the credit or brag about the deeds of donation.
