Jaya Guru Datta. Moon has another name ‘mano karaka’ – the source and origin of mind. Once the mind is simple and pleasant, there shall be good and virtuous thoughts emanating from it. The Moon as a planet, as a Lord of oshadheers (herbs and medicines) plays an important role in setting the right balance for the mind.
