Sadguru Datta, in this video, the application of the male gender to the Soul, that I had always understood as being above and beyond gender differences, is causing ripples of confusion in the mind. God is neither male nor female, is what you have always taught us, although both in English and in Telugu, the male gender is applied to that word. Neither the individual soul nor the Supreme Soul is differentiated by gender, but appears like it when it occupies a male or a female body, is what I had understood from your teachings. I understand that at death nothing goes with the soul, no family, friends, possessions, name or fame, but only the sum total of the consequences of the person’s actions performed during the lifetime. Please clarify my understanding, I beg you. Even in the Telugu language the Soul is not referred to as he or she but as ‘it’. Is that not so? Happy Guru Purnima! Jaya Guru Datta

After viewing this MMS, again Appaji you are always trying to teach us realistic lessons….. All your MMS and messages, gives us just enough for us to take into consideration and take into practice. If we really take all your messages and practice and teach each other we can all be humble, loving and good persons. Where words like respect, devotion, humble, selfless will be some of our daily watch words…. With all of these gifs we receive from you then why is it only practiced on the day your daily MMS is released, why can’t we all practice this always?

And man gets stuck in the vicious web of relations and possessions without caring to realize that none of these is permanent . Being informed of this truth and actually Internalizing it are two entirely different things. While the former is relatively easy, the latter is extremely difficult, almost impossible and can be achieved only under the able guidance of a Sadguru. On this pious Tuesday, as we share our meal and practice abstinence, I earnestly pray to Sri Swamiji to help us overcome worldly bondage and accrue that wealth that gets carried on into the next birth.
