The peacock was given to Subrahmanya by Goddess parvathi devi . During jala pralaya Lord Shiva took the form of peacock.It is the vehicle of Lord Kumara swamy.Lord krishna is adorned with peacock feathers.Let us protect and preserve peacocks. jgd.
