To me, the greatest wonder is that we place with trust our fortune and lives in the hands of an airline pilot whom we have never met or verified the qualifications; we place our lives with trust in the hands of a restaurant chef whom we have never met and are unaware of his integrity; we place our implicit trust in the banker and the manufacturers of the products we use daily; we place our trust in the doctor whose skills are only hearsay and only a piece of paper declares his qualification. Yet, despite seeing and experiencing an untold number of miracles, experiencing peace, bliss, and divine acts of protection, and receiving free, loving guidance and instruction for uplifting ourselves spiritually and equipping us for our onward journey through different dimensions, we hesitate to place our complete trust in Guru. We show an unwillingness to readily part with a small sum from our earnings to support His various humanitarian projects that benefit the world at large! We are reluctant to give up small conveniences and comforts to serve Him in ways that would expedite His mission. Jaya Guru Datta
