sri ganapathi sachchidananda sadgurubyonamah om namo hanumathe namah sri rama jaya rama jaya jaya rama

  1. A powerful message indeed! This message reminds me of Sri Jaya Lakshmi Mata’s teachings to Poojya Sri Swamiji (ref: Sri Swamiji’s Life History Book).

We can see the practical implementation of this wonderful message “our purpose in life is to help others” in each and every dharmic and social activity of His Holiness Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji!!!

Jaya Guru Datta! We sometimes get so caught up in the world we live in, we stray from fulfilling the purpose of our being. This video is artistic and a gentle reminder of our existence. Thank you Appaji!

    • on July 19, 2012 at 12:08 am

If everyone in this world followed this there would not be inequalities. The world would be much better place to live in. Srisailam is a special place in Andhra Pradesh state which has a famous shakti Peetham of Bhramarambika and a famous jyotirlinga ofSiva in the form of Mallikarjuna. This divine place holds special significance in the life history of Sri Swamiji. The rare picture of Sri Swamiji showing hands is very appropriate for the quote. The animation of the little bee is also a good start. The bhajan Ehi Pahi Mohan Dahi has a thought provoking tune in Vakulabharanam raga. All these aspects come together in making this beautiful MMS. Thank you Puttuji.

    • dariashakti on July 19, 2012 at 12:11 am

Appaji, as I thought about this message today, I remembered a conversation I had with Bala Swamii a couple of years ago where He said how happy it made him to serve others. I think we forget that this one way that so easily brings us joy. You give us so many easy ways to be happy–chanting, kriya yoga, bhajans, and this…..Jaya Guru Datta!

    • Shanthi on July 19, 2012 at 12:13 am

“Our purpose in life is to help others”. This message of Sri Swamiji is a ‘Life Changing’ message! Many of us wonder what the purpose of ones life is. Here is the answer!!! Thank you Appaji!

    • Cyndi Moonsammy on July 19, 2012 at 12:40 am

JGD!!! I sincerely do believe the purpose of my life couldn’t be any more simplistic than to help others, a kind word, an act of giving unconditionally, a SMILE 🙂 …

Yet, when someone helps you, one is astounded. We as a human race are far too self centered. May we all change for the better. jgd

Jaya guru datta Appaji all his beloved Datta family members,
These days we often forget the basics of life e.g Being good and doing good.It is morally best to have a leader to lead the people into the right direction and right time.Ups and down are common for a human being,it is required to stay consistent and believe the path of guru.Thank you for this opportunity for sharing my thoughts.JGD.

    • Hema on July 19, 2012 at 1:35 am

When we help others we help ourselves, we feel the happiness that comes from having fulfilled our purpose of existence. Too often we are caught up with our own work and problems and refuse to help someone. Yet when we help someone the positive vibrations help us too. We feel better and our problems seem lighter. Thank you Sadguru for an important reminder in this stunning video. Jaya guru Datta. Om namo Hanumate namaha.

Bhramari is reminding swamiji’s all songs in ashtadashapeethalu speeches. Bavaye bhramareem, sreesaila bhramaramba and also sri kshetra katil. yehi pahi song made us close our eyes and think of her. want to see the video but music is taking us to dhyana. sri swamiji’s voice, in that tune, is like a rope drawing us towards sri sailam. There will be happiness in following his message because that serves the purpose of our life. Jaya guru datta.

    • Ramesh on July 19, 2012 at 2:15 am

    Jaya Guru Datta
Appaji – This is a Beautiful Message and Reminder. You have always said it is “How did you help the others and is the success of your life?” You have given so many opportunities to us to serve others by establishing mobile hospitals, annadanam at the ashram, establishing Vedic and regular schools for the children, donating money, clothes and food to the areas affected by natural disasters. You always insisted the seva should be done without asking for glory or recognition or rewards (Nishkama Karma).
The video depicts a bee which is best suited for this quote. The bee collects the nectar from the flowers and makes the honey, but when a human steals the honey comb, the bee starts a new honey comb. The bee’s work to gather the nectar is just disrupted temporally. The bee is the perfect example of Nishkama karma. Bee is one of the twenty four (24) Gurus of Dattatreya.
    Om Namo Hanumatee Namaha

to help is very important in my life, because I am therapeut. But it is also important, that I help in a form, that people can help at the and at self. That is not easy, I look for it every day.

    • Suresh Kota on July 19, 2012 at 3:32 am

Jaya Guru Datta Sri Appaji: your blessings to us today is reminding about our purpose in life. You stated this in simple words and showing that subtle expression saying ‘what do you think about this proposal?’. You followed this with Mother Bhramarambika’s innate qualities in a very picturesque representation of the bee; this was very pretty. Your love for us Appaji you showed through the very mesmerizing bhajan in the glory of the Mother. Sri Guru Datta.

    Jaya Guru Datta Appaji,

Being under Pujya Guru Deva’s guidence and doing guru seva we are blessed.
A simple smile to a stranger can make his day, words of good moral to weak can boost his confidence, helping hand to a needy can make his life…. such simple actions can add lot of meaning not only to our life but also others. Thank you Appaji for this GEM, we will safe gaurd this in our heart and follow the instructions.

    Jaya Guru Datta

Time and again our beloved APPAJI is telling us to do help to others but we are doing nothing. Through this video H.H. is reminding once again the noble sentence of ‘Paropakaarartham midam sareeram’. H.H. is the one and only example for that by establishing different social activities like free medical services, annadanam, helping the school children etc. Recently we started doing some service through ‘Share your food’ but its nothing. Being H.H. followers we all should take oath to do help others in all situations till our life ends. Thanq Appaji.

very beautiful and peaceful message. The bee is so sweet and in its work and dedication the best example to show what is dedication and helping. And to remind us, that we all are a part of the whole ONE and the nature of the ONE is showing the natural flow in this helping, working hand in hand with everything. The ocean and the coast shape also hand in hand. The nature pictures and the Nada with Appajis dib^vine voice takes us very deep into this reality. JGD so much thanks from heart!

For these Days-message a wonderfully telling picture compilation. Forward the grass (green = rich) from which the viewer looks of into a world of inner desert (left) and right of the turbulent emotions on the outside. Prior to that outside (right) the pleading person. And now the call to the richness in befinde beholder (behind the green grass) to help others!
At the end the flight over a barren desert landscape = we perceive from an increased awareness of the harshness of us and in us (the left rock wall). At the same time we are aware of our outer (right) / inner wealth in the form of the rich ornate goddess.
May we use this day to help others in order to internalize our life’s purpose continues.

Jaya Guru Datta, the small bubbles of light remind me that our life here is very fleeting and before it is over we should try to help others regardless of whether the help is appreciated or not. The wheel reminds us that time is going, and Devi or Satguru is the only permanent Energy who is seeing and recording our thoughts, words, and deeds. Therefore we should be watchful and try to serve others like our Satguru! He gives us so many chances to serve, we have to be thankful to Him!

Jaya Guru Datta! Aiming at deserving to attain moksha one far day as the main purpose in life is most probably tainted by ego (as I can say for myself). Since it is a desire, it is selfish. Helping others as the purpose in life is very favourable because it emphasizes the universal brotherhood. But we have to be aware that even here, selfishness may be involved. I try to perform true seva by not looking at the results / reward, yet I find it difficult because these thoughts still crop up in me sometimes. This also includes the selfish thought that by doing such ‘selfless’ seva, Sadguru will be happy with me. I beg Sadgurudeva to continue to support me in rooting out this ego. Om namo hanumate namah!

I understand your words Swamiji, I wish I will be able to live them one day too.

    • on July 20, 2012 at 8:18 pm

Jaya Guru Hanuman, Amazing message which explains our dharma in the simplest terms. The key is to understand why we should help others. In the childhood days we are totally dependent on mother/father who sacrifice lot of things in raising us, our teachers in school bear our mischief patiently and impart knowledge to us, the food we eat comes from hard working farmers, the clothes we wear, the house we live is built by hard working masons, our Guru who enters our lives and lovingly bears our mischief and transforms us by leading us on the right path, forefathers/elders who have laid their lives in getting us freedom and who have helped develop the society by building roads/schools/colleges/hospitals, army/police/firefighters who constantly protect us etc………. We slowly realize that everything we are now is based on sacrifice and service of others……We are all interconnected, we cannot exist alone, we should not take everything for granted…….We should be grateful to everyone who have helped us to be here, who are helping us and who will be helping us…..As a gratitude it is our duty to help others….

Sri Swamiji’s life is a living example of selfless service in helping others. We should try to understand all the social projects that Datta Peetham is doing in helping others and participate in them. We should strive to help others and try to raise to the level of Sri Swamiji.

up to now i followed one of the first advices I heard/received from sri swamiji: «help yourself first». it was at the Vedanta course in london 2000 when He explained that somebody helping some one else but not being strong enough would make the whole pile break together – sri swamiji illustrated it with the image of one person taking on her shoulder the next person taking on her shoulder another person and so on. I understood that really helping others implies enough own inner strength, self-esteem, self-consciousness including the knowledge of one’s own possibilities and weaknesses, and that this has to be developed first as the foundation of being able to help others. Helping will then come naturally from a sense of inner fulfilment and inner connection with sadguru. i hope to become more and more able to experience that great joy without feeling that I have done something. sometimes, for moments, I realise this flowing of a greater force with no difference between helping or being helped.

Helping others can sometimes be very frustrating, when the expected resonance lacks,
    what to do then?
This soothing video helps me a lot, while contemplating over an unlucky situation in daily life.:
“Did I choose the right time? How was my behaviour? Did I perhaps have too high expectations?”
After this I make my decision “next time better…”
There are so many helpers in this video, all those shiny light points striving towards Shri Swamiji.

“Ehi Pahi Moha Dahi”. is very nice to hear.
We like the bee, hop from one flower to the other, finding our goal.
Our Sadguru has clearly guided us towards our purpose, i.e, to help others.
By Sadguru’s blessings, we would soon realise where, how & which area we should do the service of helping others.
To help others, we have to be very disciplined & confine to Dharma.

Sri Swamiji is the greatest example. Every move He takes is for the benefit of the world. He helps the world in everyway, through Sri Chakra Puja, through various social & charitable projects, through Puttu Gam Facebook, through SGS MMS, through Nada, through Yoga & most importantly through pure love.

Prayers that our hearts are also filled with pure love, that we too serve the divinity in all in everyway.

This MMS reminds of Sri Jayalakshmi Mata’s 12 sookthies.
