  1. Mothers are divine. We’ve all experienced the selfless love that only mothers can give. Do mothers bestow everyone with selfless love? Or, do they reserve that love for their own children? Do daughter- in- laws receive the same selfless love that daughters do? Why not?

You are what you are, not because you are born that way, but because you live that way. You are your sense of purpose. So, if your purpose is to keep the mother of your children happy, you are a good husband. If your purpose is to keep your students learned, you are a good teacher. If your purpose is to keep this universe happy even if you have to suffer for it, you are divine.

Rama demonstrated selfless love for dharma. Hanuman demonstrated selfless love for Rama. That is why they’re divine, and we human. Our Gurudeva demonstrates that selfless love for all of us.. and is encouraging all of us to live that divine life too. We will, Dear Sathguru. We will. Pranams & Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji.

Om Namo Hanumate Namaha! Who better to come to us on this full moon Saturday than Hanuman, who is prana, who pervades all existence and appears here as Pancha Mukha Hanuman representing the elements, directions and their gifts. Hanuman as prana facing east, blessing us with purity of mind and success. Narasimha as fire facing south, blessing us with victory and fearlessness. Garuda as air facing north, blessing us with protection from black magic and poisons. Varaha as earth facing north, blessing us with prosperity and wealth. And Hayagriva as water facing the sky, blessing us with knowledge and good children. Each of the elements, earth, water, fire, air, akash dance their beautiful seasonal dance to support and love us and give us all we need for life, loving us selflessly–Om Namo Hanumate Namaha! Om Namo Hanumate Namaha! Om Namo Hanumate Namaha!

God we can not see with our eyes. When divinity’s true form selfless love is, then I think, we can see incarnations of Him: Swamiji is for me the selfless love. He make all for His devotees, He is living only for helping us. Like this God become a human form, but it is very difficult for us to understand it really. Swamiji isn’t a mankind normally, He is more. But what is this more? Perhaps, when we work hardly on us and with the blessings of our Guru we can begin to understand a little little bit from this big reality God!

Yes, only one who loves without earning results is on the way to clean them selfs…and APPAJI is guiding and teaching us this way…

    Puttu Gam:
    “Positive thinking is about
    expecting the best to happen,
butit’s also about accepting whatever happens is for the best”

Thank YOU APPAJI for YOUR teachings.

Jaya Guru Hanuman, How far we extend our self determines our selflessness. For some the self stops within themselves as they are busy satisfying their own desires; some extend their self to their family – spouse, kids; some extend their self further – spouse, kids, friends, relatives; To a noble soul the whole world appears as one family (MMS 42) and hence their self extends to whole world.

The living example that we have before our eyes is Sri Swamiji. Sri Swamiji sees the whole world as his family and hence feels the suffering of all of his children. He travels around the world continuously even at the age of seventy uplifting people through his speeches, bhajans, meditation and healing music and does many social service projects like Ammavodi, Vagdevi school for communication impaired, free SGS Hospital, Share Your Food program, SGS Datta Seva etc. serving the poor and the needy.

Let us learn from Sri Swamiji and extend our self to the whole world.

Humble prostrations to lotus feet of Sri Swamiji who is personification of selfless love

    Om namo hanumate namaha

Love, that the world knows and defines, is typically selfish, possessive love burdened with huge expectations. Of all the different types of love that we experience, mother’s love for her child is considered to be of the highest standard because a mother readily and willingly sacrifices her comfort for the sake of her child. But even that pure love of the mother for her infant child often degenerates into selfish love as the child grows up. The mother tries to gratify through her child, her own unsatisfied desires and ambitions. As children grow, the mother expects help and support from her children and a certain level of obedience. She gets disgruntled if the children ignore her advice and demands and choose their own different path in life. A father’s love is filled with expectations for the child to bring good repute to the family and provide support in old age. All other types of love, between siblings, friends, relatives, neighbors, colleagues, and lovers are all based on give and take. All those relationships falter and founder when expectations are not met and when trust is betrayed.
Only God loves His children unconditionally. Whether the child remembers Him or not, whether the child acknowledges His presence or not, whether the child gives praise and credit for his very existence to God or not, God continues to love and protect. When the child disobeys and veers away from virtue, still God guides and protects. Even when God punishes, He does it with compassion, wishing only the welfare of His child, expecting no return whatsoever. When the child’s love and devotion are sincere, God goes to any extent and endures any amount of suffering to protect that child, as in the case of Lord Narasimha when he incarnated as half man/half lion out of a stone pillar to protect Prahlada.
Some devout souls are able to recognize the presence of God in their lives and feel His selfless love. But for most ordinary folks, it is only when God appears before them in the human form of a Sadguru, that such selfless love becomes apparent and recognizable. It is then that such fortunate devotees and disciples begin to understand with amazement that such love is possible in this world and that it exists, which does not demand anything in return, but keeps on giving love and protection tirelessly and unconditionally, despite repeated lapses in trust, faith, fervor, and obedience to instructions.
It is only from experiencing this rare, unselfish love of a Sadguru that a human being comes to learn of the nature of divinity, the true nature of Godliness. Lost in admiration and appreciation of such a limitless offering of love, the recipient slowly begins to emulate the master and develops in his heart seeds of such selfless love and an attitude of service and begins to rise higher towards divinity.
Sadguru is God’s own visible reflection to humanity in the form of divine unselfish love.
    Sri Guru Datta

  4. Unconditional love and Selfless help are divine acts. His Holiness loves all devotees with unconditional love and millions of devotees, who are deprived of this unconditional love, approach His Holiness for this love. JGD & SGD.

Jai Guru Datta!i remember the moment when i became conscious about my selfiish way to relate to other persons. It was VERY uncomfortable and very healing. Swamiji’s gift. Only our Sadgurudeva satisfait my thirst for LOVE, for true love. And still today, after so many years, i am spellbound to see, to feel, to experience His inumerable ways to be LOVE. Towards everyone and everything. And i am sure, there is still a whole universe to discover…. Humble and grateful prostrations

  5. JGD. O Dearest Appaji, I pray for Your Blessings that I may always love you unselfishly like Sri Hanuman loved Lord Rama, and with prostrations I beg that I may love this entire creation like You. Jaya Veera Hanuman. Sri Guru Datta

Swamiji goes to Norway and hugs a goat. What return favor can the goat give him? He goes to Australia and feeds the kangaroos. What return gift can they give him? Appaji gives up his own apple to the swan outside the auditorium in Germany. Does the swan offer him any return service? Swamiji’s love simply flows from his heart, expecting nothing at all in return. Sadgurudeva simply gives, gives, and gives. All he knows is to give. He gives his energy, his knowledge, his wisdom, his talents, his love, and his compassion. The day we all begin to behave like him, we would be divine also, like him. May that day soon arrive, by his grace. Jaya Guru Datta.

    • Archana Penukonda on September 29, 2012 at 4:02 pm

Jaya Guru Datta! Thank You for today’s lesson, Puttuji! Selfless love was a concept confined to mythological stories and books until we met Pujya Sri Swamiji and saw that He is indeed divine, selfless love in a human form. Everything that I thought were concepts explained to us to help us lead a better life, turned out to be real qualities in our Sathgurudeva – perfection, unwavering commitment to Dharma, wholesome dedication, determination and devotion to humanitarian projects, an astounding depth of knowledge and so much more. But yes, we’ve come to understand that our Sathguru’s love for us is greater than our love for our Sathguru. Our Sathguru here is teaching us that we need to inculcate selfless love towards every living being around us. So, regardless of someone’s attitude or relationship with us, we need to have selfless love if we want to follow in Sri Swamiji’s footsteps. It sounds easy, but more often than not, our love is conditional. Selfless love can come only with taming our egos and surrendering ourselves to the Divine, realizing that everything is part of the Divine. May we tame our egos and learn to have selfless love. Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet of Pujya Sri Swamiji!

    • Hema on September 29, 2012 at 4:07 pm

Sadgurudeva is constantly showing us his divine form because he always showers us with unconditional love. What can we say of someone whose every action is selfless and done for our benefit. Consider all that Appaji has done: Music, travel, discourse, building temples, Veda schools, various charities, Shata shloki Ramayana, GuruGita,MMS etc. Also Sadguru is protecting and guiding all of his children at all times, always seeking our welfare. Only divinity would make such sacrifice. We are all immensely blessed to experience HIS divine love. May we all one day be worthy of HIS love. Jaya Guru Datta. Om namo Hanumate namaha.

Jaya Guru Datta Appaji – Your selfless Love is like a colossal magnet that draws us from our chaotic lives towards yourSELF, just like a Flower draws the straying bees towards itself. We are forever indebted to your Compassion, Grace and Love!

Many a time, we wonder what we would be without your Benevolence, Love, Enchanting smiles, Words of wisdom, MMS sayings, innumerable Healing bhajans etc…
All we can do is WONDER and meditate on your Divine attributes, so some day, some life – we completely merge into YOU! Please bless us with such selfless LOVE.

Jai Ramadhutha Hanuman! The idol is so beautiful in the MMS video with our favorite Hanuman Bhajan in the background which is very mellifluous and soothing.

I know of only one form of selfless love and sacrifice and that form is my Appaji. He is the only divinity I know. Even mother nature shows her fury, but I have never seen or even heard of Appaji’s fury. He may get furious at times, but that melts away giving way to forgiveness. Hail my Guru Infinite!! JGD SGD!!

Animations in this video were stupendous with vivid presentation. Selfless love is experienced from parents who care for us. Divinity is to be experienced and indeed in form of selfless love. Lord Hanuman’s selfless love and devotion towards lord Rama is probably been symbolically represented in the audio visuals. It will be amazing if this principle of selfless love towards the needy is practised by all of us to have a better and prosperous society.

Kriya yoga is the means of Self realization ~ 30 Sep 2012

Namaste Puttuji, nice video with suiting and melodious bhajan. Kriya yoga is the surest and the most efficient means of self realization. Appaji developed Kriya yoga suitable to present era. It is one of many gifts of Appaji to the mankind. Health also is very important for a sadhaka. But one should not have obsession in health care. Kriya yoga teaches how to maintain health of a body and mind and many ways of spiritual practice. Dharma stoopa symbolically shows that Kriya yoga is one of the way to attain nirvana or realization. Through Datta Kriya Yoga facebook, Appaji is giving valuable teachings everyday. Thank You Appaji for all Your effort. Namaste Puttuji.
