Plants are our friends : Oh Guru ! How simply you have communicated a very profound thought ! We must maintain a garden in our homes to know what you mean in this message. Like how all kinds of plants grow in a garden, so many thoughts grow in our mind. The mind is fertile like the soil in the garden. All kinds of plants can grow there. If we don’t remain vigilant, the garden in our mind will soon be full of weeds and pests. Then, it is not a garden any more. So, if we care for plants in our garden, we will also know how to maintain the garden in the fertile soil of our heads. That is what Pujya Swamiji orders us to do. We will take care of plants, Appaji! We see how you worship plants during Navaratri , and in the bonsai garden ! Today, as I experience this MMS, I reflect and realize the import of why you care for plants so much, and why you want us to do the same. Thanks a million, Gurudeva! You are the eternal gardener of our lives!
jaya guru datta.the opening music is so very soothing and a lovely way to begin this morning.thanks for yet another beautiful post.its indeed our bounded duty to keep our environment clean and green. we need to respect our nature-plants especially. we are fortunate to see the ever growing green expanse at avadhoota datta peetham ashram, mysore.appaji has set a great creation for us to learn and implement.plenty of pointers to pick and learn.sree guru datta.om namo hanumathe namaha.
Jaya Guru Hanuman Swamiji, Wish you a very happy father’s day. Beautiful video. After watching this video i immediately remembered Bonsai gardens and nakshatr vanam. Humble prostrations to your lotus feet. You are our ideal and we will follow your example in treating plants as our friends…..Plants teach us how to do service…..Plants provide shade to animals and humans, give fruits/vegetables/grains, help absorb carbon-di-oxide and release oxygen, provide wood for houses etc without expecting anything in return………We should treat such plants as our friends…..Om namo hanumte namaha.
Jai Guru Datta…yes Appaji, plants and trees give us our oxygen daily as well as our nourishment…where would we be without these friends…as our population grows, more and more plants and trees are destroyed for industry, and housing developments, so one might say that plants and trees are endangered…thank You for reminding us to care for these special friends …SGDD
Plants are our friends and our life. Plant kingdom is the source of food and energy directly or indirectly for all living beings. Let us protect and save plants. May lord bless us all to save plants and be a part in protecting HIS creation.
jgd thank You Swami ji to remind us the importance of plants in our life, they protect our environment, purify and supply fresh air, food, greenery and beautiful flowers to keep us alive and happy. In return we must protect them by watering them, keeping them clean and healthy, avoiding unnecessarily destroying them for our luxurious life style may we learn good things from Your MMS and practice onhn sgd
aya Guru Datta! Protecting and taking care of our plants will give us and our future generations a cleaner and better environment to live in. We are blessed in many ways to be handed an environment that still has plenty of greenery. There’ll be no oxygen without trees and plants, nor will there be fruits and vegetables to eat. There will be no life on this planet without plants and trees. Swamiji has also said in the past to grow Bonsai plants if we are short on space to grow regular plants and trees. Thank You, Appaji for this beautiful message with the beautiful music. Om Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Sadguru Namo Namaha!
