  1. Has it ever happened that the devotee believed in Him and He let him down? The Lord protects all who seek refuge in Him.. whether the cows (Govinda), or Prahlada ( Narassimha ).

Has it ever happened that the flower has bloomed, and the bee did not come? MMS 92 said ‘The Guru comes to the disciple when the disciple is ready for spiritual initiation’. So, the disciple just has to ‘Nama Vadami Sada Nruhare’ ( Chant the lords name always ).

Sage Narada introduced love of the Lord’s name into Prahlada, when Prahlada was in his mother’s womb. Even as a child, Prahlada practiced what he learnt from the Saint, in the midst of serious hardships. Did the Lord let him down?

So too, His Holiness is introducing us to the Lord’s name. We get the message Gurudeva. We will immerse ourselves in Nama Sankeertana. We follow you. Each one of us – your children.. are testimonies to : Has anyone remained without success after praying to saints? None. Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji.

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji for this reminder that God answers all prayers. I once was taught that God answers prayers in a few different ways, with a “yes” granting us what we asked for, with “no” because what we asked for isn’t good for us, or with a “not yet….” because it isn’t time…but “all” prayers are answered in some way, but only in God’s time, not ours…You once taught us that the only prayer we should make is to ask that God grant us, or whomever we are praying for all the resources needed to face and complete whatever karma that is being prayed about at that time….This is truly one of most powerful prayers I have ever learned. Each day, I pray that all living beings needs are met in this way….whenever I encounter any sad situation that I can’t do anything about, I at least know that I have made that prayer and that that person or place has been part of it….Jaya Guru Datta for that gift and for these wonderful messages….

No, I don’t know anyone! But I know a lot of people who are successful, even when they pray only sometimes!

    Jaya Guru Datta,
praying is such a powerful tool! And yes – saints are listening – god is always listening. I want to thank my parents that they learned me how to pray. I want to thank the father from the church in my childhood who teached me about god. Specially my grandma told me about the different saints (from the catholic church) and visited the churches with me.
Last but not least, million thanks to Swamiji to bring me in contact with hinduism! A whole new world to explore and yes, with Swamijis grace the fusion of christianity and hinduism happened for me. May it be as easy for my two children to grow up in christianity and the Datta family. Pranams to Sadgurudeva.

JGD Puttuji. I do not know of any such people. Appaji has been so incredibly kind to us that He taught us how to pray and what to pray for. If we have followed His lessons with unwavering faith and unconditional love, success is surely on our side. His countless blessings are always upon us, His forgiveness is the only reason we are all still living. Ammanu kolchina dakkanidhi edhi?? Jgd. Love my Sadguru, my Appaji. He alone is my tower of strength.

  2. JGD. If not impossible, it is at least highly improbable that true success can be gained and retained without the blessings of Saints.

    • Madhu Talwar on September 20, 2012 at 2:05 pm

jgd from some common punjabi bhajans i know that the Saints are co-relatives of All mighty God, for Their disciple they may request or challenge God also. They have special account and understanding to help those who pray sincerely humbly and are in real need. A saint can rewrite the fate if He likes, may i be under the care of my Swami ji Who is Saintly incarnation of God. onhn sgd

Many people disbelieve the statement made above by the wise sages. That is because such people in their ignorance believe falsely that they know what is to their benefit and what is not. They demand for specific favors from saints. When such favors are denied, they begin to criticize God’s messengers on earth. Such are the people who will perhaps criticize Lord Narasimha for killing Prahlada’s father, not acknowledging the fact that Hiranyakashipu kept trying to kill the child by giving him poison, getting him trampled by elephants, stung by serpents, and flinging him into deep chasms from cliffs.
Saints, who are helpers to mankind sent by God in His infinite compassion, always do what is beneficial, whether their gifts please the individual at the time or not. All their blessings may not be obvious to the common man’s eye. One, who wishes for a certain job and prays for it specifically, may not get that specific job. The holy man might bless the devotee with another job that would benefit him in the long run. What the person wished for might not be the best suited or the safest job. One who recognizes the divinity in great souls, and places complete faith in their judgment alone will recognize the beneficial results of his prayers. Many others who receive benefits as a result of their prayers to saints, either do not acknowledge them unfortunately, or take the credit upon themselves, or worse still, blame the sages for granting them something other than what they had asked for, not realizing that what they had wished for, perhaps would have caused them harm and not benefit. Saints know what is best for us. It is best to be grateful and accept graciously all their blessings.
    Sri Guru Datta

    • Hira Duvvuri on September 20, 2012 at 2:30 pm

I am convinced fully. I believe this statement that saints always bless and give us what is best for us. But, it is impossible to convince the egotists who test the saints’ powers and compassion by demanding that a child be born, or a life be saved, or a marriage take place, or a job be obtained, or a visa be granted. When their demand is not granted, they turn around and criticize the saint for either lacking spiritual power, or for fraudulent fame. God help such fools! What may give us immediate disappointment in our worldly life may in fact be a huge blessing to us in the long run! Only the saint who knows our past, present and future, and has our best interest at heart, would know that. We, in our ignorance treat this life and its fleeting satisfactions as real and ask for petty favors. When we pray instead, for a pure mind, pure devotion, and spiritual progress, the saints will certainly grant our wish. Perhaps not overnight, but step by step, and inch by inch. Jaya Guru Datta

My Datta Sadguru, Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji has given me many ways to approach Him through prayer. Bhajans, stotras, kavachas, music for meditation AND He has given Himself. Smartrgami Sanovatu. Just be thinking of Him, Sri Swamiji is here. He answers all my prayers. Sometimes it isn’t immediately, but it is always a joy to remember when one is answered. All things in their time. He continually preaches patience. He knows what this devotee needs always and provides same. Appaji, thank you for the beautiful music and form that is my Saint, Always. No one, Appaji. Association with great souls (Maha Purusha Saangatyam) always leads to one’s evolution (rather revolutionary evolution) to higher planes. The music in this video is taking me to some different loka’s, Appaji. Narasimha Swami picture is bringing tears to my eyes. To save His dear devotee, Sri Hari did not hesitate to take even a difficult form of half-human and half-lion. Jai Jai Datta.

Jaya Guru Datta. Dearest Mother Sri Swamiji, I offer prayers at Your Lotus Feet. I do not yet have the knowledge to even know what it is I should pray for. Your love and protection? For better knowledge? For strength? You know what is right for me. I pray to You when I say or think “Om Namah Shivaya”. Sri Guru Datta

What a wonderful MMS, Appaji has given and Puttuji your explanation for the same is so nice. For a student how a teacher takes the responsibility to build up his carrier, similarly for a person a Guru is required for his spiritual growth. Therefore Puttuji  you have reminded here the MMS 92 where in Appaji says( a Guru comes to a disciple when he is ready for spiritual growth.) Hence we should understand the greatness and value of a Sadguru. We are so fortunate to get Appaji as our Sadguru in this Kaliyuga who is the incarnation of Lord Datta Himself. Therefore He will test you in so many ways whether we are fit for a disciple for Him. Hence we should follow our Sadguru in all respects. According to my experience once you are in the grip of Appaji, He will protect us in the right time. Yesterday in London also Appaji has given a beautiful speech about namasankeertana ( Bhajan)  Appaji’s Bhajans all contained The Seed letter which is very powerful to cure disease. Therefore we follow You and practice Bhajan and seek Your blessing for this since we are always your student only.    JGD.

    Praying to Saints ~ 20 Sep 2012

Namaste Puttuji, good video. Thank You. Has anyone remained without success after praying to saints? Never, with or without faith. Who trust, will be successful early, who do not trust, Guru will have to effort to raise faith in them and then guide. TV in a path is well shown in a video, our Sadguru is guiding us in our spiritual path through MMS videos also. Being God, Guru should do every ritual to be a role model to us praying Himself or doing Namasankeertan of His own self. That is what shown in the video ‘ Supreme bliss in the form of Lord Narasimha, and Appaji in earth immersed in devotion doing Namasankeertan of His own self. Namaste Puttuji.

Saints are the complete form of holiness who always aspire for upliftment of everyone. Blessings of saints are always there for all good deeds done by us. It is obvious that prayers to saints are blessed as success and to guide us in the right path. Thank You Puttuji for this superb message.

Thank you Appaji for your compassion and love. One life is not enough to serve the lotus feet of our gurudeva.
