  1. Each of us are blessed: a) To have something to give of value to this world that supports us. b) To give without expecting anything in return.

As if to illustrate this virtue, His Holiness is reminding us of trees. If a tree standing in one place at the mercy of the earth, can give, give & give so much.. you & I must be capable of more. We’re walking trees, thinking trees & speaking trees. We can only give what we already have. We’re blessed trees that can increase our ability to give.

Dear Dhanavantri Gurudeva, You’re the doctor for our body, mind & soul. You’re so omnipotent & so caring, that there is no limit to the love & wisdom you choose to give. Those small trees in your bonsai garden are so large in giving us health & happiness. We can see that pride on your face, as you hold their fruits for us. We’ll learn from them and experience the joys of giving like you do. True joy is in giving, not in receiving (MMS 86). Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji, Sweet poem this morning. How can one give and give and give unless one has found that infinite well of Divine Love and creation within? When we look outward and compare ourselves with others we miss our own divine infinite capacity within us that you so beautifully demonstrate, Swamiji! Help us overcome limiting thoughts and ideas so that we may accept the divine love and knowledge you shower on us like the rain on plants and become fruitful and giving without a sense of limitation or lack. Sri Guru Datta!

Jai Guru Datta, dear Sri Swamiji, I am speechless….the breathtaking message, the scenery, the dancing/floating words, and the abundance of true love in the meaning of this little rhyme. The resonance of these words with my own experiences, and your beaming face and smiles give great joy and take all doubts and words away….What is the point? You convey it all in this message. Jai Guru Datta! Beautiful beyond words Sadgurudeva! May be giving giving giving will make all of us as beautiful. Inside. As the real joy is in giving. And the moment we feel that we want to be more happy, we may ask ourselves what we could give. Instead of planning a holiday or a nice dinner. This would change lifes. Following Sadourudeva this is inevitable. Koti Pranams to Sadguru’s divine feet

Jgd.The MMS is blow to the Ego of Man.In God”s creation the smallest living being is useful to other living organism.Leave the Plants and Trees.Except Human, who is useful to Himself only.
Appaji is cautioning us to be more useful to society. The Dattaseva of Appaji is working in this direcion only. The resent floods and cyclone in various parts of world is and the involvement of Datta devotees in relief operations is the result of Appajis teachings.
When the benedictions of Guru are always for the spiritual uplifment of devotee.Guru never expects any thing in return in kind or cash, but only devotion. He never keeps a list of Boons he gave.Nor He asks for repayment in lieu of His boons.
GURU IS THE LIGHT WITH THE FLAME OF WHICH MANY OTHER LAMPS ARE LIGHTED.

    Jaya Guru Datta,
at the end of life we will be asked how much we gave and not how much we received. I do have moments where I am more focused about receiving…….. I bow down at the holy feed of Dattatreya may I grow by giving.

This song is a completely joyful music which is going straight into my heart and makes me smile! Oh Gurudev – true Nada Yogi – how great YOU are!

    • Manu on November 10, 2012 at 12:12 pm

    Jai Guru Datta,
a tree has no mind to perceive itself as a seperate I. Nor does the Guru have a mind that dwells in ego consciousness – maybe He remebers a time where His consciousness was limited due to ego-identification and that may give Him the ability to have compassion with the human delusion, but I believe His mind is so much emersed in god-consciousness that He is one with the all pervading principle wich may be love and compassion without discrimination. Both, the tree and the Guru don´t reflect themselves as “the doer” – they act according to The Devine Will, and thus they cannot help but give. This is Datta – the highest gift we can ever perceive and it makes me speachless.
I am so thankfull for these daily messages. They really show thar His Words are true – He gives and gives and gives and this is just a small example of the abundant care He takes for us. I bow down to the lotusfeet, awe inspired, of such a great being as our beloved Sadguru Sri Sri Sri Ganpathi Sachchidananda Swamiji.
    Sri Guru Datta.

    please never let me forget

fruit to nourish the hungry body and a home for so many beautiful creatures!
    Please never let me forget
how precious it was to meet You and to have the chance to follow Your holy footsteps.
    Please never let me stop
to worship and thank You for Your infinite love and knowledge, for Your guidance!

Dearest Sri Swamiji, please help me to be deeply connected with God and with You

    so that more and more
YOU give and give and give through me.

Appaji, you are our life giving tree. Constantly you look after us, bestowing knowledge, love, health, protection and all our various material and spiritual needs. Not only do you give to us your devotees, but you also give to the world and all it’s creatures. There is nothing that we can give you, nothing that you need in return. All we can do is humbly offer our hearts, minds and souls to you along with all of our defects. Please accept Sadgurudeva, our lord incarnate. Thank you for all that you do. There are none as blessed as your Datta devotees. Om nam Hanumate namaha. Jaya guru Datta.

Jaya Guru Datta. Human mothers have the most selfless love out of all of the human relationships, but even with a mother’s love there is a element of expectation there. When I call Sri Swamiji Mother, I do not mean a human mother. He is the Divine Mother, or at least that is the way that I see Him. Just pure Love, no expectations. I cannot really fathom or even begin to understand Mother Swamiji’s wisdom, but His Love is something that I have felt. It is the best thing and the only real thing in this whole world. He is Love. I love you Mother. Sri Guru Datta.

It is like a little wonder, that nature gives us so much, all what we need to survive. All is going from allone, it doesn’t need humans that nature functiones. When humans try to make some thing better, at the end they must see, that it isn’t better, it is worse. God has made the plan and the nature, we must learn to see it and to know about all the laws.
Also Guru “functions” in a way, that we can’t understand realy. He gives so much, that it is a wonder, that he is not burnt out. But He has so much energy, it is a wonder. He doesn’t sleep much and work always so much. It must be a big big duty to be a Guru. I hope so much, that I don’t give too much work to my Guru and that He can have a little bit joy on me, how I try to go my way.

Appaji has given a wonderful MMS today and Puttuji  as usual your explanation is also very nice. According to me intoday’s MMS, if you think deeply it has got a great inner value. It is a fact that God has created trees which always gives us only and in certain cases like coconut tree, it gives us every parts of it to us with out expecting anything. At the sametime we should also remember that even though they are not expecting any thing from us, it is our duty to feed them properly by giving water and manure etc timely. If we do like that it gives us more and more and give happiness. Similarly Appaji is giving us repeatedly love and wisdom to us at every turn. In turn morally our duty is to develop His Mission also in all respects. That is the quality of a true devotee. Here even I remember Appaji’s words saying that you must try to establish your name in His heart for which we should also follow His words and teachings in all respects. In this Kaliyuga we are so fortunate to get our Swamiji Who is like a father, a mother, a Friend and a God to us. The music and photography are very apt to the MSG. Appaji our Pranams  to you for giving such a wonderful MMS.    JGD.

If everybody wants to only give and nobody wants to receive, the giver will have no one to give to. Unless there is a listener, who would be there to enjoy the music of the divine musician? Unless there is a child to receive the cuddles and kisses, what will a mother do with all her unspent love and unshared joy? The tree gives fruits. We enjoy the sweetness. Guru gives love, wisdom, joy and protection. We all enjoy his divine gifts. He is happy to see our smiles, I think. Am I wrong, Sadgurudeva? It takes two to hug, does it not? I love the way you give smiles and sparkles with your eyes. I love to be enchanted by them. Is this wrong, Sadgurudeva?

A tree has cool shade and sweet fruits to give. What have I to give? Nothing as cool or sweet.
A bird has sweet songs and pretty feathers to delight the ear and the eye. What have I to give? Nothing of melody or beauty.
Guru has bliss and wisdom to give. What have I to give? Nothing so joyous or profound.
At least in my receiving if I do not hurt others, I will be content that my presence here is not wasted.

Only one who is without any selfishness can keep loving and share His wisdom happily without any jealousy because one who has qualities of human becomes selfish and his ego itself is an obstacle, that prevents from helping others grow equally like oneself. Only God has the quality of giving, giving and giving….. without any pinch of pain. May Lord bless us all to understand His grace towards us who is protecting us always.

around our house there are some old beautiful trees, giving shelter, shadow and protection and that wonderful living energy and beauty all around the year. right now the trees have shaken off the leaves going in the silent transformation of winter. I often refer to the giant maple tree on the kitchen side of the house as sadguru tree, seeing and feeling sri swamijis majesty and protecting force in him. maybe more and more I can really perceive what our beloved sadguru gives at every turn and consciously receive it in gratitude and humility. how could I ever thank You but by striving to surrender to You and serve You the best possible?

Sadguru gives love and wisdom at every turn – 10 Nov 2012

Sadguru is an embodiment of unconditional selfless love and compassion. He has only been giving with no expectations. His universal love is what has been attracting thousands of people to Him. Just take the example of these Nandana MMS. Appaji has spent so much of His valuable time and effort in recording the quotes, designing the videos – all this for what?? What does He gain out of this? Nothing! He’s been doing all this just for us, to ignite the spark of spirituality, humanity, compassion, devotion, service in all of us! Appaji is complete and perfect. He has nothing to gain from us. It is we who need to benefit from His various activities and initiatives. Like the tree, He has always been giving us sweet fruits! Let us, at the least, learn to enjoy these fruits and appreciate the gift we have received. Thank you Appaji for another wonderful message! Jaya Guru Datta!
