Datta is our father & mother. He is our relative & friend. He is Bramha, Vishnu & Siva. What does he have to gain from our prayer, or our service? What does the Sun have to gain from the Moon? Nothing
She is Sarvabharana Bhushita.. She creates this Universe, sustains it, and she and wears all Ornaments one can think of. What can one do to add to her splendour? Nothing
So, then why does one have to praise or pray to God or Guru, or serve them? If the moon decides not to reflect the Sunlight, who loses? The Sun or the Moon?
Lord Dattatreya learnt from 24 Gurus.. comprising the animate & inanimate.. and credited his spiritual progress to such learning. What about lesser mortals like us?

We hear some disgruntled souls complain, “What has God or Guru done for me, after all the pujas (austerities and worship) that I have performed, after all the services that I have offered, and after all the donations and gifts that I have given? He has selfishly bagged them all. He has no compassion. He has given me this pain. He has not answered my prayers.” God or Guru is not our employee on a contract to fulfill our worldly desires in return for the above services offered. He is us and the entire Creation. He has given us life and a mind to think good thoughts. He will give strength to endure the difficulties that come our way because of our past misdeeds, if we pray for strength. But like brats if we demand from God, health, longevity, wealth, good looks, fame, power, progeny, and comforts for us and our loved ones, unless we are truly deserving, He will not simply throw them in our lap. If we keep our minds sparkling clean and filled with faith and devotion, our Sadguru promises to give us liberation itself, which is higher than all the worldly enjoyments put together. I therefor pray for you grace to continue to serve and do seva
Jaya Guru Datta! We don’t serve the Guru, the Guru serves us. How can we serve the Guru Who has everything? What can we give Him that He doesn’t already have? What can we do for the Creator? Any seva, or puja sponsorship is for our own benefit. The donations we make for Ashrama related projects bring us good karma. Swamiji’s projects will go on regardless of whether we participate or not. When we praise the Sathguru, it cleanses our mind. When we offer seva, we open our heart to receiving more lessons from our Sathguru. When we part with money to support these divine activities, we are contributing to the welfare of the society, and really, we are only giving back a small portion of what Swamiji is giving us. It is foolish to think of the money as our hard-earned money, for it would not be ours if Swamiji weren’t giving us. My prayers only help me become a receptacle for divine grace. Any service I do purifies me. The eternal, unchanging, Adi Guru Dattatreya is always present and always giving. Please bless me with this buddhi at all times, Appaji. Appaji is the creator..and we are the creation. Nothing is impossible for the creator, nor does He need anything from us ..His creation.
If Appaji wants He can get everything done with just a thought or glance. It is only His blessing that we have got a chance to do seva, prayers or even contemplate..Let us not miss any chances for seva, for everything we do takes us a step closer to His Blissful presence. Lets ensure His company forever by following Him!
What a wonderful lesson, Appaji has given today through this MMS 315 which has got a deep inner meaning also. According to me , Appaji has opened our eyes from darkness to light through this MSG that worshiping God or follow a Guru and do seva etc are only to up lift our spiritual knowledge . Once we acquire this knowledge , indirectly what ever our wish , that will be fulfilled .This confidence, we should develop in our mind. According to me ,Like a patient consulting a Doctor , at time , we can also get the guidelines from our Sadguru for taking a decision for a particular problem and not always. This is because by developing our spiritual knowledge through His words and teachings, we can realize how to solve our problems or what ever may be which we are facing in our day today life. The photography is very apt for this MSG since even Lord Datta , Himself has accepted 24 Guru from the creation in nature by Mother Goddess to learn more from them. If we go through Datta Dharsan we can understand this fact and it will be very useful for us also , if we follow the same procedure. This is what Appaji want from us. The Bhajan is also apt for this MSG since in this Kaliyuga our Appaji is , Mother, Father and Guru for us as He is the incarnation of Lord Datta Himself . Puttuji as you said here by going through all these MMS , that itself help us to develop our spiritual knowledge , since Our Appaji has given these MMS in a very simple manner which every body can understand . More over adding to this a very beautiful picture and a music has also given which will make us to think more and thereby our concentration will also increase and at the end it will help us to develop our spiritual knowledge .
