Fiery.. This MMS begins with invoking the God Of Fire (Agni).. huge balls of fire, which open up to a red lit scenery, where Appaji the master Director is at work, with His fast paced keyboards in the background. The visual indicate.. what we see on the surface of this earth, is an expression of the fire inside it. Very relevant. The world we see around us is indeed an expression of the fire inside of us.

Consider this situation.. A team of people walk through a dense forest. It is sunset time, just getting dark. Suddenly one of them yells in fear – “Snake! Snake!”. The team stops. There is silence. The team leader sees that the snake is motionless. He walks up closer, kicks it and shouts – “No snake. Just a rope. Let’s go!” If you have to see the rope as a rope, you satisfy one of the two conditions: A. You don’t know what a snake looks like. B. You have seen snakes so closely, you do not fear them. When your mind is full of snakes, you see a snake in every rope. Your eyes see what your mind wants them to see. That is how powerfully the mind holds the senses hostage.

Take a geologist to a museum. He may not leave that place for days together. To him this world of the museum is so fascinating. Take a diehard cricket fan to the same museum. He may find that same place very boring. Same world.. seen differently by two different mindsets. What fills your mind, fills your world. An optimist sees an opportunity in every problem.. His mind is full of opportunities. A pessimist sees a problem in every opportunity. His mind is full of problems. If you want to understand your world, understand your mind.

Our scriptures say – Just as the spider draws out the thread of the cobweb from within itself and withdraws it again into itself, in the same way the mind projects the world out of itself and absorbs it back into itself. This is the nature of the mind. Why is our Gurudeva sharing this eternal truth of the Upanishads with us ? He wants us to recognize the fallacy of trying to change the world.. before changing ourselves.. our thinking. After all, it is the fire inside of ourselves that projects or determines what we see outslde. Koti koti pranams for having opened our eyes to this eternal truth Appaji ! You are the master director of our lives. Let us learn to see what you want us to see. Let’s not waste this short life by seeing snakes in every rope!
    Your Puttuji.

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji! Each message has been building one upon the other as you teach us that it is our thoughts that create this world we live in. You have told us that if we protect Dharma, Dharma will protect us, that by being content with what we have and giving up desires and attachments we will find happiness, that we can take control of our minds and purify and improve them by cultivating noble thoughts. You have asked us to approach God with joy and love in communion rather than communication, thereby teaching us that we can consciously bring to our experience that bliss within us without any outside objects. You have asked us to give up thoughts of hatred and revenge, and you have told us that the purer we make our minds, the easier our solutions will be for our difficulties. And then you taught us that whatever we ask of God, God says “So Be It”! Now again, you remind us of our personal power in this world–that is we who create our own heaven or hell on this earth. You are truly empowering each and every devotee, working for their true happiness and realization,Swamiji! Only a true guru would do that with such love as you have given us!

    Jai Guru Datta !!

Our first lesson SGSMMS2 itself started with cultivating noble thoughts in mind. Followed by several lessons it is very clear that our Sadguru wants us to develop noble and positive thoughts always. All Knowing All Mighty Appaji wants our mind to purify further and says “A man’s world is a projection of his mind”

Nothing is impossible for Appaji, I surrender and pray to my Sadguru to help me control my mind, take care of my destiny by His Grace !!

Sachchidananda Jayam !! Sachchidananda Jayam !!
Sri Guru Datta Hanuman ki Jai !! Om Namo Hanumathe Namaha !!

Nice explanation on inner meaning of message.
Pujya Sadgurudeva is the teacher, director and mentor. He taught us many things in pervious MMS’s and explained the importance of the same in this message.
Puttuji, each message has been building one upon the other and making sure that our thoughts that create this world as you want.
You gave us many ways(Bhajans , music ,discourses & MMS’s) to cultivate noble thoughts in mind and see what you want us to see.

It is really very difficult to understand these words. In my head I know it, but really understand very deep I am not able. all I see is so real, I can only try to understand. But more important is the fact, that I don’t look for my happyness in this world. Really happiness which is stable, can only com from a place which is deeper and more stable. For this I must meditate and have a very good contact with Swamiji, that I learn every day, what is important in my life, what is the base on which I can build my life.

Another great lesson from our beloved Sadguru.
Indeed our mind is a powerful thing, that is why we must all aim to take heed to Appaji’s teachings to allow us to have a pure mind at all times.

Dear Appaji, thank you so much for this precious meaningful MMS! Amazing, in simple few words you express very essential and deep topics. As we look in our own mirror everyday, we can change our life concerning the creator, the mind. And i love this Raga, is it the “Kurukshetra”? Fitting very much to this topic, beautiful!! May our mind become a mirror of divinity! JGD

What a wonderful saying! What a perfect expanded commentary of Puttuji! This sookti is sure to turn many a mind towards optimism, towards seeing the good in others, instead of seeing the negativity. This sookti is sure to inspire us to start smiling and keep smiling! Thank you Appaji and Puttuji.

Positive mind, positive world; negative mind, negative world, …..and NO mind (meditation), NO world (realization of what doesn’t really exist)! Jaya Ho Datta! With you guidance may we develop positive mind, and from there, peace in mind, and then, control-of-mind state! Sri Guru Datta.

Fireball of a message. Today’s top veiwer’s message is similar to this “Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.”
This natural progression of messages is so intriguing. How Appaji has planned the timing of each MMS fascinates me. There is no escape from learning and molding ourselves.
Appaji always professes that we remain composed at all times. He says a composed mind is capable of taking both happiness and sorrow in its stride with equal ease and remain unaffected. Now, to remain composed, we need to condition our mind to optimism and positiveness (His words “Be Positive” echo in my ears as I write this). Mind is so fickle, it can construct castles or even destroy them all in a second. And since our face is a reflection of our thoughts, we should be all the more careful with our mind!! We surely do not want people walking away from us because of our negative thoughts! We become what we think, so, pereceiving things and people around us as positive will make us positive automatically. Reminds me of yet another top ten viewers message from the recent past,” See every difficulty as a challenge, as a stepping stone and never be defeated by anyone or anything”. This attitude can be acquired only with HIs guidance. Thank you Appaji for this reminder. JGD!

  4. If we really understand that meaning we will take care of our wishes, deeds, words and how we take care of everything what is around us. JGD

    Jaya Guru Datta!
If we see this world with the eyes of a physicist, it looks very differently. Merely nearly empty. Everybody of us consists mostly of space. All the elementary particles (which should be seen as waves) are so small! However, we take for granted what we feel and see with our senses. In reality only our mind creates the world like we see and feel.
Thank you, Puttuji for telling us that we have first to change ourselves before we try to change the world around us.

Jaya Guru Datta! Thank You for today’s lesson, Puttuji! Great video with the image of Pujya Sri Swamiji, the director of our path towards Sat Chit Ananda. The mind is indeed very powerful and we live in our minds – in a world created by our mind. Hence whatever we perceive around us, is indeed in our mind. The senses, sensations, responses, understanding, communication are all based on the mind. We create this world with our mind. Puttuji’s commentary on the spider creating the web and dissolving it really drives home the point on the power of the mind to create this world as a project of itself. Please bless us, Appaji to surrender this monkey mind at your Paadukaas.

Obeisances to the Holy Lotus Feet!

Yes ‘A man’s world is projection of his mind’…. because it depends on how one perceives a circumstance. A person with positive thoughts appreciates grace of God and happiness in every circumstance of life on contrast person with negative thoughts keeps drowning with sadness and disappointment….. So it is the mind that gifts us with the world of inner as well as outer peace and happiness. Thank You Sri Swamiji for this thought provoking message.

Appaji’s music and direction are amazing!
This phrase could even be applied at the mundane everyday activities.
More the lathargy, your day is wasted. Wake up in good spirits, start your day in the right way and the day is productive.( this can be achieved by prayer )
Also, when growing up, things seems to be so impossible to achieve. Because, there is so much negativity surounding us. This is a helpful tool for our children to learn. So, they use this sookthi and become good humans. The MMS are a treasure trove full of wisdom. Will be sure to share with my kids.

    Jaya Guru Datta

Great MMS video and a very powerful saying that we have to ponder over.
What we see and do is all actions of our mind. We usually have preset mind filter through which we see life. For a person who wears red color glasses, to him the whole world is red in color.
Pujya Guru Deva many times tell that we should always clean our vessel(mind), then only we can understand what Sri Swamiji is telling us.
Thank you very much for this great video. I pray to Pujya guru deva to bless us so we always keep our mind clean.

    A man’s world ~ 16 Aug 2012

Namaste Puttuji, nice video. Thank You. A man’s world is a projection of his mind. Usually, by the way man designs his day to day life, nature of his friends can tell us the nature of his mind. What mind doesn’t know, eyes cannot see. A person sees his own character in others as he knows it. Other person may be having better qualities but cannot be appreciated by a person who doesn’t know that such quality exists. Sadguru is like a mirror. Our characters get reflected in Him for us to change. Namaste Puttuji.

    Jaya Guru Datta Appaji,
This reminds me of the saying ‘Yad Bhaavam, Tad Bhavati’ which in English means ‘As you see and think, so you become.’ Our way of thinking and perceiving things would determine how we view the world. From this message, we can compare the mind to a window, if we wash it with good and clean thoughts, we can see the beauty and glory of the world. However, if we dwell on the negative and wash the window with muddy thoughts, so too we will think that this world is dirty when in fact, all we have to do is keep our thoughts pure and clean to appreciate the beauty of the world. With the mind’s power therefore, we can either create happiness or sadness in which to dwell. Thank you for this beautiful message.

    JGD Appaji
Mind is a powerful gift from the Divine. . We interact with the world through our mind. If the mind is happy, even the darkest cloud will look beautiful, if the mind is disturbed even a rainbow will not look peaceful..If the mind is disturbed, nothing external can bring it peace, because whatever is external has been created by the mind..we need to calm the mind from the fiery fire to a calm serene lake. We can achieve this by constantly being involved with Appaji’s teachings.. when my mind is agitated, just by listenening to Shatashloki it calms down immediately
