Jaya Guru Datta. One of the last conversations with my father-in-law was about this topic. He didn’t believe that Brahmacharyas exist. Of course all of the devotees know differently. It is easy to have a cynical view in life and before Sri Swamiji and all of the experiences that He blessed me with I would have said the same. I pray that everyone gets to know Sri Swamiji and feel His Bliss, His purity. Mother Swamiji, I love You. You are that Bliss. In that state there is no duality and sex springs from duality, no? It is trying to unite the female and male. But in that Bliss there is no male or female to unite. There just is. Prostrations to our beloved Satguru who is Lord Shiva and Mother Goddess and is at the same time beyond anything dividable and nameable. Sri Guru Datta.

By seeing today’s MMS, according to me Appaji has gone further deep in to the spiritual path. Yes Puttuji as you said here earlier Appaji has given the lesson that Patience is the greatest penance . Now Appaji has gone further deep and giving a good lesson that Celibacy is the greatest penance which has got a deep inner meaning also. Now through this MSG, Appaji is reminding us that in this Kaliyuga people are more interested in worldly pleasures and unwanted desires. Due to this it is very difficult to control our sense organs and mind. Not only that we are not realizing that these things are not going to be permanent in our life. Hence to overcome from these problems, we have to train to control our inner self. By doing so we can control our sense organs which are the root cause for these pleasures and desires. More over our mind has also got an important role init. In otherwords mind is also responsible for these unwanted things. Therefore basically we have to control our sense organs and mind which is possible only by following through the spiritual path. For this we need our Sadguru and develop our spiritual path through His words and teachings strictly . In the presence of our Sadguru , we are always a student only till our life and there is no limit or restriction for that concept.Therefore once we follow His teachings we can control our mind and sense organs which means making pure and controlling our inner self. Once we attain this we will not involve in these present worldly pleasures and desires. According to me This is what celibacy , we have to follow in our life which is the greatest penance. Therefore Appaji we got your concept and follow your teachings in the right spirit and obey your instructions every now and then. The photography and the Bhajan are very apt for this MSG. JGD.

This message is something new. It took some time to cogitate with the explanation of Puttuji. The message is telling the path way for higher level in spirituality. What all I understood is Brhmacharya is the greatest austerity, and a true Saadhaka of it attains a chaste brain that has tremendous energy and will power. With Your blessings Swamiji, we will win over our temptations and falling pray for little things. Jayagurudatta.

Jaya Guru Datta Appaji – this great MMS reminds of one of the most important topics from the Divine Life History of Appaji. Venkammatta exhorts the importance of celibacy to Appaji in Proddutur and not just as an Ashrama Dharma. She also insists that for those who consider this as any other ashrama, it is the easiest for them. The incessant thought of Brahma is what is Brahmacharya – which in itself is no doubt the greatest penance. Our dear Lord Hanuman is a great example alongwith Appaji is leading us all from the front urging us to follow the righteous path.

Thank You for this wonderful message, Swamiji. Celibacy springs from a pure state of mind. Achieving this state needs a lot of restraint, discipline and understanding of the cause and resolution of desires. Who is it that has the desires? The Atman doesn’t have any desires, it must be the sense organs, the mind driving the need for sense gratification. In this day and age, giving in to sensual pleasures is accepted as normal because of the strong identification with the body and material objects.
A celibate state of mind will yield a celibate style of living. That would mean, cultivating noble thoughts (MMS #2), singing the glory of God to drive away the sins of the mind (MMS #275), remembering that this world is merely a projection of the mind (MMS #78) and everything with form is unreal (MMS #238). With the help of these divine MMS messages, we can perhaps, one day at a time, perform this penance of celibacy by keeping our mind clean and pure. Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet!
