Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji, this is a beautiful video this morning. I love the musical notes in the beginning. So often you have told us to listen to your music. Bala Swami once told me that all your teachings are right there in your bhajans and music for the taking… Many devotees haven’t had the chance to have physical face to face direction with Swamiji regarding their spiritual sadhana, but still you have given directions that all can use for spiritual practice–listening to your music, singing your bhajans, chanting the mantras you have given like “Om Namo Hanumate Namaha and others, listening to Shata Shloki Ramayana, practicing Kriya Yoga. When we engage in these practices you are right there with us, and when it comes time for something new in our sadhana, you will provide it, whether it is in person, internally or in a directive for all of us to practice. Over the years, I have come to think that Swamiji has devotees in “classes.” I came to this thought as I realized that so many people hear Sri Swamiji’s messages as their own during a talk. So often when Sri Swamiji gives a particular talk or particular mantra or orders to a select group or in a particular place, I think it is often for that “class.” If we are distant and have the blessing of hearing that message as well, perhaps it is for us, too, unless Swamiji says otherwise. Our beloved Guru is always there instructing us just at the right moment when we need it….
very nice message. This is important for each individual to realize ones own mistakes and opportunity to correct them. this is my personal experience.

We don’t know what we need for more spirituality. We can read books, but my experience is, that often that, what was in the book, didn’t describe my situation really. I see it also by my patients: they read books and do all, what is in the book. the results are often not good, sometimes the people get worse than before. Because I can not see all my karma and my lifes, a can’t decide, what I need for loosing these problems. The guru sees all these things and work with me in a manner, which is for me not everytimes logic, because I can’t see the whole. But I know, that Guru see all and can show me a way through all my troubles. It is very important to follow Him to 100%.

Guru knows, He has the absolute Knowledge, He knows what you need to get purified. Guru never acts out of egoistic reasons, He acts always for our upliftment and for the benefit of the Universe, so we can Trust Him 100 %. This is so good to know. Proper guidence and knowledge about a particular subject can be obtained from the one who has complete knowledge about it. Every student has to trust the instructions of teacher to attain success academically. Like a student learning swimming needs to trust completely on his coach that one can still float if practised as per coach’s instructions, similarly for spiritual practice complete trust on God is essential to experience the omnipotent and omnipresent almighty. God is the only true teacher who can guide us in spiritual path.

Jaya Guru Datta Sadgurudeva! The spiritual practices that you have us perform are infinitely varied and unpredictable. If a disciple comes to you with preset definitions as to what spiritual practice is, he is bound to get confused with the simple and varied guidance given by your compassion. One day’s instruction may be to perform Srichakra puja with Sri Lalita Sahasranama kunkuma archana. Another day you may say do nothing but Mantra Japa of a mantra initiated globally to all devotees. Yet another day, you may say sing bhajans. Then you may give an instruction that will not allow the devotee to do any of these traditional practices but engage full time in travel or pilgrimage or book writing, or making telephone calls. Still another day, the assignment may be to go shopping until a certain rare item is found & brought, to the exclusion of all other spiritual or religious activities. One should simply do with faith as instructed, and not worry about prior unfinished or pending works. It is the doing of each activity that is itself sadhana, and not its completion or fulfillment of personal glory at each success. With you each day’s spiritual pursuit is new and exciting and opens unimagined vistas. How wonderful! Sri Guru Datta

Implicit faith in Him is necessary. He gives us strength to overcome all obstacle in our spiritual practices.

Today’s MMS is also more or less connected to Appaji’s MMS 134, saying that spiritual practice with out initiation from a Guru is like an arrow with out any aim. Here I remember Appaji’s words saying that in this Kaliyuga some people follow a Guru for their material beniefit rather than to develop their spiritual path. Here due to their karma if any thing goes wrong then they will approach another Guru and so on and thereby neither they will get any beniefit nor they will not be able to follow the spiritual path. Therefore follow only one Master for everything in our life and to develop our spiritual path also. Puttuji you have given a nice explanation also for this MMS. A Teacher is responsible to buil up the carrier of a student and similarly a Guru will take you through the spiritual path provided we should follow Him and His words with complete trust. A teacher shows the way to prosperity where as a Guru shows the way to serenity. Therefore Appaji we follow you with complete trust and develop our spiritual path which is our ultimate aim in our life. JGD.
Jai Guru Datta! Complete trust is the most precious gift we can receive.Then there is no weight on our shoulders any more. And there is no thought – “without a second thought”. We simply do what our Sadgurudeva suggest, knowing that HE KNOWS. We don’t know and we don’t have to know. We simply have to practice.I am longing for this thoughtlessness.
I have had a first hand experience as mentioned by Appaji in this MMS. HE is so benevolent that even before anything strikes us, HE has given us indications of what we should do – namasankeertana, Lalita or Hanuman etc. One must have implicit faith in HIM to cross the hurdles undertaking the spiritual practice advised by Swamiji. The invocation of Yoga Ganapathi in the beginning and Mother Goddess towards the end of this MMS talks all about the Yoga one can ascend to, when practices are followed with utmost trust in Sadguru. a live example of right today in the ascension of the steps leading to Trust and Yoga thereby taking to the realization is today’s Sandy storm and its impact on the devotee families. It is just to show how Sadguru is taking care of all the families in disparate places- it is He who is up and running and not the missionary to take care of the people in the path of the superstorm… Thank You Appaji… may You bless us all to cultivate such devotion and trust at Your Holy Lotus Feet.

In this beautiful MMS, Yoga Ganapathi Swaroopa Appaji’s three fingers show us the significance of SadGuru, Devotee, and Trust. As Puttuji says We, the students of spirituality trust trust trust……and practice Appaji’s sacred guidance and become winners.
Gurudeva is the GOD for all of us. He knows each of us thoroughly. There is no need to apply too much of thought process and get confused..simply following Swamiji will lead us in the spiritual direction towards self-realization. You can either choose to read the vedas, puranas, and Upanishads and find yourself to not be there yet spiritually or you can trust and practice the teachings of Sri Swamiji offered with honey in small but continuous doses in various flavors and get there without getting confused. The choice is simple.
My dear Swamiji, please give me the courage, humility, self-control, and detachment to follow you under all circumstances.
