Anoited (vilepam) in ashes (bhasma), He is the personification (roopam) of auspiciousness (shankara).
We know from Guru Gita that Shiva is Guru, and Guru is Shiva.

సద్గురు శ్రీ స్వామీజీతో ఏ కొంత అనుభవం పొందిన భక్తునికైనా తేటతెల్లమయ్యే నిజం, స్వామీజీ మనబోటి మామూలు మనిషి కాదు. స్వామీజీ ఖచ్చితంగా ఈ భూమండలానికి చెందిన మానవుడు కాదు, అనేది. వారు చూపే ముగ్ధ ప్రేమ, వారు చేసే అద్భుతమైన మహిమలు, వారిచ్చే రక్షణ, శిక్షణ, వారి దివ్యనాద చికిత్సా తరంగాలు, వారు సాధించే అమోఘమైన కార్యక్రమాలు, ఈ ప్రపంచానికి చెందిన ఏ మనిషికీ సాధ్యం కానే కావు. మనుష్యచర్మాన్ని మనకోసం ధరించి, మనమీది అపారమైన ప్రేమతో దివినుండి భువికి దిగివచ్చిన సాక్షాత్ పరమాత్మ మన బుజ్జి బుజ్జి బంగారు స్వామీజీ. మనమెంత ధన్యులం!
“Nanu paalimpa nadachi vachchitivo naa praana naatha!” sang saint Thyagaraja. As I see the divine golden padukas of Swamiji approaching gently, steadily, with a firm step, I feel like bursting into song expressing a similar feeling of exuberance and astonished excitement, “O Swamiji! All the way from your heavenly abode you have come taking a zillion steps just to lift me up and take me back with you to where I belong, on my mother’s (your) lap, in our own beautiful home on our far away planet.” Lovely MMS.

According to me, by seeing the MMS 341, the importance of follow a Sadguru is needed for every one to guide us in the right path and fulfill our requirements. Puttuji you have given a good explanation and described about Lord Siva, Who is the source of happiness. It is a fact that if we go through GuruGeetha , we can realize that in this Kaliyuga , Lord Siva has come to this earth in the form of Sadguru to guide, to protect and to fulfill our needs. Therefore we are so fortunate to get our Swamiji as Sadguru , Who is nothing but Lord Siva Himself. Those who have witnessed the Maha Sivaratri during olden days will know about this fact. Therefore , Appaji we follow Your words and teachings and will develop our spiritual knowledge and at one stage we will reach to the selfrealization which is only eternal. The photography and Appaji’s one of the old Bhajans are very apt for this MSG. Thank You Appaji to give us such a nice MMS and we find the sorce of happiness in You and by follow Your teachings we realize that You will fulfill our requirements. JGD.
