This message challenges notions and beliefs I hold about my personality and causes me to introspect if my behavior/disposition is congruent with those beliefs. Hypocrites practice hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is the hallmark of incompetence which manifests as insecurity and hypocrisy. Generally, hypocrites lack self-confidence and self-esteem to identify with their self. So they feel the compelling urge to pretend to be who they are not so they can identify/associate with a certain company of individuals. Being self-manipulated to be what they are not, they keep losing track of reality. Their company compounds this self-destructive behavior. In parallel however, such individuals also criticize, belittle, and slight individuals who are true to their God given nature or at the other extreme are other followers/practitioners/chasers of the material/glitz.

In a way hypocrites are deluding themselves while actively escaping reality. This is indeed a really sick and perilous characteristic.
The cure is the Grace of Sarawati Swaroopa Sadgurudeva. This grace bestows knowledge in chosen discipline(s). Knowledge leads to competence, competence to self-confidence, self-confidence to security, and security to being true to one’s inner self. Being true to one’s inner-self is being true to Appaji. When one is true to Appaji, divine grace descends & artificiality disappears.

The following relevant proverbs/adages come to mind
    1. Tell me your friends, and I will tell who you are
    2. You will become like the six people whose company you keep the most
3 Birds of a feather flock together

Appaji, please give me the wisdom and competence to never be a hypocrite so that I may be true to You. May I also love hypocrites and critics as they may be washing away my karma or giving me free advice. May I through Your Grace Appaji keep Satsangha. Thank You Appaji for giving us various local and online Satsanghs. I have come to know many wonderful bandhus (through Your online/social endeavours), each of whom teaches me perspectives/interpretations and brings me closer to You. Thank You immensely Pujya Sadgurudeva for providing me spiritually nourishing company .

Sivaya Guruve Namaha!! Sri Guru Datta!! Om Namo Hanumate Namaha!!
