Snow in the mountains melts, transforming into water, flowing as the river. Its identity with form as snow, does not last long. It has to give up that identity & journey through the rough & tough terrain, to merge with its source.. the Ocean.
That journey isn’t always comfortable. It can be very fearsome at times.. especially when it has to fall from great heights into the deep ravines.
Before the river reaches its ocean, it may have to split into smaller streams too. It must give up or purge its identity to its form, over and over again, as a means to merge with its source. And it does.

332. అహంకారాన్ని విసర్జించినవాడు భగవంతునిలో ఐక్యమవుతాడు. ఓం నమో నారాయణాయ – ఓం గుహాయ నమః కొండపై ఠీవిగా కొలువుదీరిన మంచు ఏదో ఒక రోజు కరగక తప్పదు. క్రిందికి జారక తప్పదు, “నేను” ఉన్నత శిఖరాలపై ఉండే తెల్లటి మంచుని, అనే పొగరు వీడి, నీరై, బండరాళ్ళకి తగిలి, గాయాలు తగిలించుకుని, క్రిందా మీదా పడి, దొర్లి, నురుగ అనే చర్మం పెచ్చు విపరీతంగా పైకి రేగి, నొప్పితో చిందులు త్రొక్కి, తనతో తానే పెనుగులాడి, అటూ ఇటూ గిలగిల కొట్టుకుని, మెలికలు తిరిగిపోయి, నది అయి, “దేవా! నీవే దిక్కు” అని మొరపెడుతూ, వెనుతిరిగి చూసే అవకాశం లేక చేతులు బారసాచి ముందుకు ప్రవహించక తప్పదు. చివరకు ప్రాణులకు జీవంపోస్తూ హుందాగా నడిచే నదిని నేను, అనే రాజసాన్ని కూడా వదలి, తన తియ్యదనాన్ని సైతం విడచి, ఉప్పునీటిలో కలిసి, రూపు, రేఖ లేక లయమవక తప్పదు. మన గతీ అంతే, అని గుర్తు చేస్తున్నాయి, ఈ సూక్తి, దీనికి పుట్టూజీ ఇచ్చిన వివరణ. జయ గురు దత్త

Jaya Guru Datta! Where does ego actually come from? Doesn’ it also belong to God in the end, because God is everything? And yet, my ego is so powerful to delude me. I struggle to implement what I get to know intellectually because I quickly get lost in illusion. Thank you APPAJI for patiently guiding me with various means to focus on You and the divine only. I love Srimad Bhagavatam, it is so inspiring for me to read about Krishna! Sri Guru Datta!

Everything in nature goes through varies variations and transformations effortlessly and willingly.. we have got this valuable human birth in the presence of a divine incarnation, still we grumble, complain and are daily struggling with our egos. The only way out of this drowning swamp is to to hold on to Appaji’s Divine Feet and be always in seva.

Today’s MMS is more or less connected to MMS 266 only. In the photography of MMS 266 we can see Appaji is doing Kakada Arati to Datta and also we can see the beautiful flowers and green leaves. From this we can realize that Datta had 24 Guru in mothers’ creation in nature and learned a lot. Similarly in nature the flowers and leaves are doing their duty and they don’t have any Ego or pride etc and very happy which we can see from the picture. Lord Datta also learned from these 24 Gur’s and as humanbeing how we have to be in our life by purging out the ego, jealous , pride and selfishness etc and be happy in our life. Similarly Lord Ganapathy has no ego or jealous etc from the test His parents initiated between Ganapathy And Muruga. Now in today’s MMS 332 our Appaji has put in another way which we can see from the photography. Here mainly about the Water how it has to purge out ego to reach it’s aim and that is to reach the ocean. In the top of mountain as Snow , it melt and flow as water , which falls down from that height and in between it has to pass through many obstacles and finally to reach it’s goal , for which, it has to give up the ego of it’s original form. Similarly lord Hanuman has done selfless service to his Guru lord Rama . From this we can realize both Water and Hanuman have no ego or selfishness etc and that is only eternal for a peaceful life.The Bhajan on Lord Hanuman is also apt for this MSG. From these Appaji we learned a lot and we will purge out our ego through Your words and teachings and we finally see You as our god in this Kaliyuga. JGD.

in every aspect of our life, the single letter ‘I’rules every deed..like..”I did, I saw, I know”….its very hard and unimaginable to leave this letter aside and go on with life..so better to add the words- “BY THE GRACE OF SADGURU” with every statement we make..like..by the grace of SADGURU i did, by the grace of SADGURU i saw, by the grace of SADGURU i understood…if we go on saying this tarakamantra atlest after a period of time..if not in our time atleast by our next generation we may get rid of letter ‘I’ from our system..bless us SWAMIJI..sri matha..sri guru datta..jaya guru datta..
Jaya Guru Datta! Thank You for the reminder, Swamiji,that what separates You from us, what keeps us from merging at Your Lotus Feet is ego. As much as this knowledge is a blessing, it’s disappointing to realize how much ego I’m filled with. My attachments to things, to people, to my credibility, my desires, my focus on doership, delight in praise and disappointment in criticism, all stem from ego. Your several messages on ego point to how important it is to work on removing this ego. You give me various experiences based on my karma so I can learn from them. You asked us to question ourselves “Who am I”. I’m thankful for the awareness You’ve created – I can at least see my ego dominating this being. Without the blessings of Sathguru, I would have gone through life not even realizing that ego was separate from me. I hope I can win my battle over ego, one day at at time. Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet!
I recollect the words of Sriswamiji, from the book follow the master. “Ego is the cause of pain and when kept out , it enables a person to experience unbroken happiness in this life itself.”its true to say that purity of mind results from absence of desires. If anyone longs for anything, it should be a prayer for not being born again. I wish I must raise to that level while praying. Jayagurudatta.

Third beautiful message about ego in this month. It is ego that is differentiating Human and almighty because human limits himself to his body and almighty is omnipresent. May lord bless us all to purge ego and merge with GOD.
